Step out of time and into your bathrobe at The Burrow. The magic and whimsy are yours in this 3-bedroom cottage getaway. Soak away your troubles in the hot tub as you gaze into the vastness of the Pacific. Whether you're on vacation with the family, on a business retreat or a romantic date, there's something here for everyone.
The Burrow is the culmination of an architect's life long experience... designed and built to be his family's private coastal sanctuary. Finished in 1984, she boasts a tall and slender frame with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a full kitchen, and laundry room. A hot tub and new ocean viewing deck were added in 2021. Take in Pacific City's Haystack Rock and Cape Kiwanda whilst in complete and comfortable seclusion.
Her old bones have settled elegantly into the hillside creating character and charm common in most older coastal homes. You will find that the floors slant and some of the windows are foggy. Doors might require an extra nudge to open or close... and this house may sway like the lazy ocean hugs the shore.
This property is cozy, peaceful, and lovingly cared for by people who live locally. We work directly with cleaners, use safe and non-toxic products, and are always nearby if you need anything. We believe in thoughtful design and making sure each guest feels at home, whether they’re here for a weekend or a longer stay. Plus, you just can’t beat the view or the walk to the beach.

I'm Ben — originally from Nebraska, but I’ve called Oregon home for over 15 years. I spent 8 of those years living and working in community at Breitenbush Hot Springs, and eventually found my way to Neskowin, where I’ve lived for the past 3 years. My partner Rowan and I have been managing our own short-term rental for 5 years now. What started as a side project quickly became something we fell in love with — the chance to create meaningful, restorative experiences for people. We’re not a big company — just two locals who care deeply about this place and the people who stay here. Every detail of our work is personal, thoughtful, and built on trust.

Neskowin is one of those places that still feels untouched — quiet beaches, forested hills, and a strong sense of community. We love that it’s close enough to places like Pacific City and Lincoln City for a day out, but just far enough off the beaten path to feel like a real escape. Walking the beach here—especially past Proposal Rock or through the ghost forest at low tide—never gets old.

This home was designed by an architect as a passion project for his wife with an eye for light, lines, and connection to the landscape — it’s quirky, multi-level, and full of windows. Yes, there are some lived-in details (a few slanted floors, tricky doors, and aging windows), but what guests fall in love with is the complete privacy and peace. Perched on a steep, forested cliff side, every view — from the kitchen, the hot tub, to every bedroom and hallway — looks out onto forest and ocean. You won’t see a single neighbor. There's no TV, which was a risk, but it’s become one of the most celebrated parts of the home. Families tell us they reconnect here — playing games, cooking meals, having real conversations. It’s a space that invites you to slow down and be present.
