Amazing family reunion

  • 5 of 5

This was an absolutely perfect home away from home. We had a large family gathering and the inside and outside space was just what everyone wanted. Being able to use the kayaks and canoe, having the huge yard for outdoor games, was the best. THe dogs loved being able to run. The house itself was beautifully decorated, but no one felt that "don't touch" sense. The kitchen allowed three people to prep at a time. Getting to the beach was a breeze. Bob, the owner was responsive, he would get back to me within an hour, and was always helpful.

The stairs were challenging, but we took them slowly.

We plan to return next year. What a gem!

Long Spring Weekend

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful home n Red Mill Pond was perfect for six of us celebrating birthdays n May. We loved strolling through the lovely gardens in bloom, and watching the Ospreys from the deck while drinking our coffee in the mornings. The layout was great for the three couples, with each having a private space . The lovely antiques, and linens made us feel we were in a 5 star resort!

The well-appointed kitchen had everything we could need for our "chefs" to prepare gourmet meals we enjoyed while looking out onto the pond.

Kayaking in the pond was one of the highlights- it was so convenient t put our boats in right from m the dock in the back yard.

We would love to return in the Fall, to enjoy that awesome fireplace!

Bob was wonderful to work with, answering all questions promptly, and providing suggestions for activities and dining in the area.

All raves for this wonderful location!

  • 5 of 5

This is our fourth trip back to this beautiful home. It is well equipped with anything you need for a wonderful vacation! The house itself is very well maintained. It is very spacious and inviting. The three outdoor spaces are excellent as well. We enjoyed morning coffee on the upstairs porch with the sounds of nature all around us. The fire pit is an added bonus! Toasted marshmallows do not get any better! The location is amazing. It is close to the hustle and bustle of the outlets and beaches yet when at home, you are in your own oasis. The yard is very large and the gardens are beautiful. We have literally spent hours looking at all the beautiful flowers and plants. (Thanks Molly for the leaving the tags in some, you made it easier for us!) And Bob and Molly? Two amazing hosts. They have always made us feel very welcomed and are always responsive to any questions we may have. They even offer tips on great places to eat and shop! We'll be back in 2018 I am sure! Thanks for yet another wonderful family vacation!

Wonderful Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This house comes highly recommended, Bob is a great host, very easy to work with and obviously wants his guests to have a wonderful vacation. The house itself is a gem with a gas stove and grill we created many tasty creations. Check out Lewes Seafood house for ready to cook crab cakes. The enclosed spacious yard with beautiful gardens made relaxing at the home way too easy. We kayaked, canoed, fished, roasted s'mores and played corn hole. The bass were striking. We even caught an eel. If you seek an adventure but want the natural beach without the expensive boardwalk check out Cape Henlopen and Lewes Beach. For a low cost fun day we went to lunch at On the Rocks at the Lewes Ferry, played free mini-golf and enjoyed their little arcade. You can park there for free and ride bikes or walk to Cape Henlopen. The eco tour at the water taxi in Lewes was also fun. Bob was so easy to work with and really wants each of his guests to have a wonderful experience. My dad who is 75 and not in the best of health enjoyed the 1st floor bedroom that overlooks the lake with its own door leading to the deck. The first floor even has a little kitchenette which was great for his snacks and morning coffee. We even got him in the canoe for a morning fishing excursion. We used the public access boat ramp right up the road for an easier exit strategy which worked great. The younger generation brought a car and then paddled back to the dock. Lots to see and do and so close to everything. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

This property is beautiful, exactly how described and more! Bob is a fantastic owner, making the entire experience so convenient! The home had plenty of room for our crew of 7 and our two dogs who loved the huge fenced I yard! We enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the Pond, kayaking, canoeing, fishing from the dock, preparing meals in the kitchen full of tools just like home! This home was so convenient to the beaches and restaurants! We could not have had a better time in Delaware!

Perfect Description!

  • 5 of 5

Everything listed in the description and all the reviews absolutely true! The house is decorated so nice, loved the style of decorating, the kitchen is large allowing the family to assist with food prep and clean up. The bathrooms are also a nice size and beautiful.

The AC did a fantastic job during an extremely hot week. The gas grill on the wrap around deck was wonderful. Also loved the gas range in the kitchen-top of the line! Beautiful hardwood floors, loved the flooring in the kitchen. Very convenient that sheets were provided and beautiful cotton bedspreads. The flowers and gardens were stunning!

So peaceful sitting on the deck watching the turtles, birds, and herons. Enjoyed the quiet reading time and daily bike rides through the neighborhood. We love the Delaware beaches and have been coming yearly for 30+ years. This was different than our usual trip, staying in Rehoboth. We loved the peace and quiet, beautiful home, property, lake, neighborhood and short drive to Lewes and Rehoboth a few times. I'm looking forward to trying it in the fall, when the leaves change color!
