A state-of-the-art chef?s kitchen, a generously-sized waterside screened porch as well as a large observation area allows effortless indoor outdoor living. On the first level you'll find the living room, observation area, chef's kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms and a wonderful waterside screened porch. Upstairs you'll find 2 more bedrooms, one with a private balcony. Outside, enjoy exclusive access to the bay via a private dock/boat-slip, or bathe in the outdoor beach shower surrounded by a grassy coastal garden. Just a short drive to the beach, local restaurants and shops, ?Charlotte?s Morning Sun? offers an opportunity to secure a luxury vacation home in an exceptional setting. Note: The Oyster Bay I community where this property is located offers a boat ramp that is exclusive to the homes in this community. Water depth may not be suitable for all boats and dock/ramp usability cannot be guaranteed. You can crab and fish at this community harbor area.

This is one of the best properties on the island for view and comfort. Very well designed house for a family stay.

Beautiful house!

Kitchen came stocked with plenty of pots (and crab pots) and pans and dishes. The downstairs area was perfect for your large group. The bedrooms are best for families with kids--the bunk beds can be a challenge for us older folks. All in all, we were very pleased and I LOVED all the balconies.

great location great fishing right off the bulkhead very nicely designed house No AC on half the house- the chincoteague resort staff and the HVAC tech responded quick enough, but no AC as the parts were not available every hot humid week- it was not working when we checked in- i wish we were told about it prior- waiting for a response on a reimbursement

We had a wonderful stay at Charlotte’s Morning Sun! The views at the property were breathtaking and we had ample space for our group! We would absolutely stay there again. The only suggestion would be to update the coffee maker and the blinds in the master suite. Both need an upgrade! Other than those small things the stay was perfect.

The thunderstorm one night was amazing and the full moon outstanding! The minute we pull out the drive way I start counting down until we will return!

Great views

The views at this place are fabulous. It's a great location for waking up with the sunrise while drinking a cup of coffee on the upper deck (which is one of the features that sold me on this place). We rented off-season and there wasn't much to do around town, so we spent a LOT of time in the house itself. The bathrooms are newer and clean and the beds we did use were comfortable. Plenty of TVs and viewing options (Apple TV, Amazon, cable, etc). There were minor maintenance needs but nothing that made it unbearable and we were told some things were set to be fixed over the winter anyway. Overall, we enjoyed our stay 😊

It’s a beautiful home (inside and outside) in great location with a view of Oyster Bay that is breathtaking, especially in the morning as the sun rises, the home is aptly named. And the amenities are complete both internally and externally (including fishing, kayaking, crabbing), all in a quiet neighborhood.

We notified management that the dishwasher would not drain and that the toaster had wires loose. They sent someone who fixed the draining issue, but it still did not work. Toaster was never replaced. Broken deck chair still on the roof that was there two years ago. Beds are very low and uncomfortable No box springs. Upstairs' bathrooms are great.

The Perfect 5-day Pandemic Escape

After being vaccinated, the GP's demanded to see their grand child... So we grabbed this place which we had been eyeing for a while (but never seemed to line up the dates). It was only available for 6 days, and we could only do 5. No linens, no problem; my wife and mother inlaw preferred bringing our own anyways. The management office was very easy to work with, answering all of our questions quickly and efficiently. The house was exactly as described, right one the Oyster Bay, facing east. Sunset the next morning was breath-taking. We had a little problem with the hot-water heater the night we arrived; texted the office before 9am, and the maintenance person was at the door before 9:30am, and fixed it quickly. Other than wine glasses (as other reviews have pointed out), the house has got everything else, especially if you enjoy the local seafood. I even got local oysters and learned to shuck them with the tools I found in the kitchen. By the way, the wooden hammers are for blue crabs; it does not work on oysters. Despite of windy weather (in March) 4 out of 5 days with 2 rainy ones, we spent every minute we could in the nearby Chincoteague wildlife refuge and even squeezed in two beach walks. Do get a pass! We saw the famous ponies, deer, all sorts of birds, and fox squirrels. The books in the house helped us identifying the birds, too. The TV in the living room has all sorts of options, which both confused (I counted 7 remotes) but also enjoyed by grandpa (not much into walking)... Overall, this place is a real gem and we'd love to come back again in a heartbeat, if we could be lucky enough to find any openings...

Gorgeous views!

We loved the decks and the large windows overlooking the beautiful water. This was a perfect house for us, a group of 4 couples. We had a great time. Suggest adding a few more wine glasses and making sure that the propane tank has gas in it. Everything else was wonderful!

The views from this home are amazing from sunrise to evening. The house itself is so tasteful and wonderfully designed. The layout is great and perfect for a small family or a group. The house had everything we needed and is just a short drive to town and the beach. We’ll be back!

The house was beautiful and we loved seeing so much water through the windows. They do need to provide more wine glasses. There were only 3 but my guess is that the manager was not aware of the shortage. Also, the propane tank for the grill was empty. Everything else was great!

This is a spacious, lovely house directly on the water with views of Assoteague Island. Comfortably accommodated my in-laws, my teenagers, and my husband and I. We loved the local food trucks - especially Cosa Pizza!

My wife and I stayed at Charlotte’s Morning Sun to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We have visited Chincoteague a few times in the past and we always stayed in a hotel for just two or three day visits. For this occasion we were looking for a waterfront home that was comfortable and also had amazing views. Charlotte’s Morning Sun delivered an awesome experience all around. A quiet and secluded neighborhood. Amazing views from just about every room. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and cookware, including crap pots . The binoculars and telescope came in handy for watching the birds and other wildlife. This house was designed with attention to detail and quality. Very well done. Charlotte’s Morning Sun reminded us of the type of home you’d see featured in an issue of Coastal Living magazine. Dealing with Chincoteague Resort Vacations was a pleasure. Check in and check our went smooth and easy. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. We’ll be back next year!

Beautiful Waterfront Home!

Charlotte’s Morning Sun’s design makes the most its spectacular waterfront setting with spacious decks and screen porch that provide the perfect vantage to enjoy bay-front breezes and watch cormorants dive for fish. Inside the house, the top-notch cabinetry, woodwork, and interesting architecture show that this home was built with love. The house was clean and tidy, and we appreciated welcoming touches such as labeled light switches and binoculars for use by guests. We were comfortable and relaxed in this beautiful home, and we hope to return one day!
