central AC was a lifesaver. We were there during a very hot week and we had to hide in the house from 11am-4 or 5pm . We appreciated the extra pantry items. Coffee sugar honey and olive oil and also the shower Staples shampoos body lotion. Felt like a real hotel. The stargazing at night was wonderful/sublime. Overall 3 bedrooms 2 baths is great. The washer and dryer came in super handy. A house with a covered garage was a savior in the desert. Large kitchen and fridge was used by us. Thank you for allowing us to lease your space as this is far better value than any motel in area.
Great place to stay in Anza Borrego, close to town and all the good hiking trails in the Park including Fonts Point and The Slot. Very quiet and spacious....definitely would stay there again.
This place is a good location for doing bike rides around Borrego. Please have plenty of space and was very comfortable.

Amazing house and surroundings
We greatly enjoyed this beautiful, large and confortable house, its garden, the incredible views and Borrego Springs as well. We loved hiking in the area, rest on the terraces and being part of this special place. It'll remain very special in my heart and I really want to come back soon. Owners were also very helpful and nice, best souvenir from French family ❤️

Great location / Fabulous Vistas / Dark Skies
Well appointed kitchen. Pleasant and responsive owner. Nice neighborhood. Comfortable common areas. Fun backyard space.
Overall, this was a very nice getaway for us. The house is clean and comfortable, good location. The desert setting is what we wanted and we got it. We visited the baths at Agua Caliente as a day trip.
The property owner was very accommodating and responsive. Thank you.

Quiet Desert Home
This is a perfect location for a quiet getaway. The home is very comfortable. Outdoor patio is relaxing while looking west towards the mountain range. The east balcony offered many beautiful sunrises! The home did not lack anything, and I most likely will be back again.
We loved our 2-day stay at Jodie and Mark's home. The location is fantastic--great landscape and views of the mountains and the valley. The property is very cozy and comfortable. Mark and Jodie are super responsive and so prompt! Mark even offered to mail my book and glasses- that is incredibly kind! We are so grateful for this opportunity to have stayed here and we hope to return.
A very unique and cool house, modern, open to nature. The loft with TV and balcony for viewing the sunrise
The enclosed backyard and patio for lunches and stargazing to the S, W, N. Everything you need to unwind, a home base for explorations.
Property was conveniently located and well supplied with a beautiful back terrace. We did have an issue getting the door to unlock. After several tries we were able to get in without calling for help, however this shouldn't be this difficult.
The house is as advertised. We love the hay bale construction and the cat trees. The only thing that l thought would be nice if there were a broom and dust pan in the laundry room for us to use. And more towels in the linen closet. If we ever need to get a VRBO. In Borrego again this property will be 1st on our list. Mark responded promptly when l text him
The house is as pictured and is quite private. Jodie, the property manager was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions or requests. Bring your own ice and filtered water, as the refrigerator is not hooked up to the water line. It’s a rather odd layout, with the only house access to the rear yard through the master bedroom. These things did not impact our stay, and we enjoyed the peace, quiet and privacy. Everything worked well, plumbing, electrical, heating systems. Bedrooms are conveniently located away from each other, and the upstairs tv room/library is a definite plus.

Check in was easy, the large driveway and use of the garage was very nice. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking.
Unfortunately, the property is in need of a good deep clean. Feet get dirty walking barefoot on the floors, overall it seemed like it had been empty long enough for dust to accumulate without a good wipedown to freshen it up and feel clean. Outside furniture and sitting area was uninviting. Biggest complaint was thermostat was locked up and set at 74 degrees, which meant heat came on and house couldnt be cooled by opening windows without heater running all night. No one was available to come turn it off. Homeowners were kind and responsive, but out of town.

Hi Mark, we’re glad to hear that you had a quick check-in and enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, driveway, and garage! We want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues with the heat during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - When you called about the heat we let you know that due to the power being turned off for a bit we needed to reset the system physically. We asked what temperature you would like it set at and planned on sending someone over but we never heard back from you. There would not have been an issue to have the windows open and you did mention to us that everything was ok and you had done that. We're sorry if there was a misunderstanding, we were happy to help get you situated. - We would have also sent the cleaners back if needed but you never mentioned the floors or dust to us. We take cleanliness very seriously and have not had this issue. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Not the cleanest
The day we arrived the power was out. I contacted the property manager and told her the power was out. She said it should be on by 7pm. The entire town was out. However there were zero flashlights or candles and I have 3 young kids and we were in a strange house with zero light. Plus a ton of groceries. Once the power came back on the tvs and internet did not work. For the entire trip. There are no games to
We looked forward to our stay at this property based on the review in VRBO. The neighborhood was quiet and there were great views of the surrounding area. However, the first thing we noticed before entering the house was dry mud on the driveway and sidewalk, so we decided to take our luggage through the garage. The garage was dirty as well and upon entering the home noticed cat hair on the rug. Overall cleanliness was not what we expected. From cat hair to human hair in the sinks, shower and floor, to mold in the washing machine. In addition, there was a cat entry door in one of the bedrooms that blew open whenever there was a breeze. All windows and floors looked like they had not be cleaned recently. Spider webs and dirt were in the window tracks. A thorough cleaning of the house would greatly improve the stay at this property.

Hi R, we’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the views of the surrounding area! We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our property seriously. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We’ve talked with our cleaning crew to ensure this issue does not recur for future travelers. We do our best to keep the outdoor area clean and looking nice, however, it’s certainly possible for the weather to affect the area once our landscaping crew has left. - We wish you had reached out to us during your stay. We would've been more than happy to send our cleaning crew to resolve your concerns and make your stay more comfortable.- Our cleaning crew works hard to thoroughly clean and sanitize the entire property between guests and we're sorry to hear that you found a previous guest's pet hair in the home. - We use a professional cleaning crew to ensure that the home is cleaned and sanitized between guest stays. Our crew does a walk-through of the home before all guest arrivals and we’re confident that the home will meet our high cleanliness standards before our next check-in.- We hope you keep us in mind for your future travels. We’d love to host you the next time you visit. Your feedback assists us in understanding our guests' perspectives and improving wherever possible!
This property worked out well for my husband and I looking for a place with character to get together with our grown children. Our questions were answered promptly before our trip so we could plan accordingly. Check in went smoothly and we quickly got used to the spaces. Of course we didn't bring cats but this was made for cat lovers with quirky cat walks throughout the house!! Nice back patio area. Some contents did not correspond with the kitchen cabinet labels but we managed. We made many memorable meals. Needed more hand Towels in the master bedroom bath area. I had my moment of peace waking up before dawn and watching the mesmerizing sunrise on the upstairs balcony. I noticed the stairs can be dangerous for older or very young person. We brought our own bikes and went biking past Yaqui Pass and around. One day we had an excursion to Badlands and Salton Sea where we'd visit whenever we're in Borrego since the 1990's. One thing I noticed was how filthy and unkempt the front door area was as if it had never been cleaned in years. Cobwebs on the door lights and below the sitting area, Lint and dirt on and around the doormat. It would make a better impression if the cleaning crew paid attention. All in all, we had a nice time as a family and enjoyed our stay.
