OWASCO LAKE VACATION RENTAL - PRIVATE SPACE FOR 1-2 GUESTS

Unique private lake getaway located on the east side of beautiful Owasco Lake. Sleeps 2 maximum.

Enjoy beautiful lake views, sunsets, and direct lake access. This is a dedicated second-level space of our home with a private entrance, one bedroom with a new Queen bed, private bathroom, and fully furnished kitchen. There are 13 steps to the rental.

Privacy is very important to us. Self check-in means there is no need for interaction during your stay. We interact with guests only as much as they wish. Need local information or recommendations? Just ask. Otherwise, enjoy your privacy and your vacation.

The lake is just steps away, but please understand that you must be comfortable using stairs to get to and from the lake and beach area. This property is not for everyone, and we want to be upfront about the stairs.

Enjoy our lakefront dock, swimming, boating, kayaking and more. Four kayaks, a canoe, and a 14-foot aluminum boat are available for guest use. We also have a fire pit with firewood provided, plus a deck and gas grill.

The kitchen is fully equipped; just bring your food. Coffee is provided. We supply clean linens, towels, hand soap, and basic kitchen and bathroom paper products.

Great location for exploring the Finger Lakes. About 10 miles from Skaneateles and Auburn, 7 miles from Moravia and Fillmore Glen State Park, and about 40 minutes from Syracuse, Waterloo outlets and Seneca Falls. Wine trails, golf, hiking, biking and birding are all nearby. Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge is about 20 miles away.

This is a quiet, private space best suited for one or two guests looking to enjoy Owasco Lake and the Finger Lakes at their own pace.

The view and proximity to the lake was perfect. The host allowed unlimited access to the canoe, row boat, and kayaks which we took full advantage. Rodney gave tips on the local sites.I highly recommend this rental. It was the perfect quiet getaway.

Overall an amazing stay and would definitely come again, those stairs to the dock are definitely not for the weak but we managed and it was totally worth it! I recommend checking out Fillmore glen state park it was beautiful. The property was clean, Rod and Carm were fantastic hosts!

Overall this was a great weekend getaway spot at the lake. You couldn't ask for a better view. Although I was not anticipating the hosts being present when we arrived, they were warm and welcoming and super helpful. It was a bit of a workout walking up and down a narrow staircase to lug our belongings to our unit, which was a finished attic above the owner's house. My only complaint was that you could hear people walking around downstairs, doors being shut (that sounded like they were being slammed) and the dogs occasionally barking. There are about 84 steps to get down to the docks where the lake is located, but it is well worth it. The scenery is beautiful and these hosts have everything available and at the ready for you, including kayaks. They also recommended fun activities and good restaurants to eat it in the area, which was very helpful. This was a lovely place to stay! Thank you!

Rod and Carmela are the kindest people. Super host ! Very attentive to all our needs. We asked about a bonfire when we arrived. That evening the bonfire was all lit and ready for us. Coffee, creamer, microwave popcorn, all provided. A peaceful place to unwind. Best views, bald eagles flying by the windows daily. Cooked dinner each night on the provided gas grill. Everything you could want is right there. Canoe, Kayak’s, row boat, life jackets of every size. Just an amazing place . Highly recommend it. Michael and Maria

Beautiful Spot

We had a really enjoyable weekend. It is under 20 mins from Skaneateles and is an easy drive. The place is very cozy and has a wonderful View of Owasco Lake. It had everything we needed at a very affordable rate.
