House was spacious, beds were very comfortable, and location was great, within walking distance to the lake. The outdoor grill was 25% usable...challenging with 6 people, and pots/pans just need some lids. Temp went to 40s in mornings and downstairs thermostat didn't work. Would be A if these things were corrected.

Thank you for your positive feedback. Grill has been fixed. However, the thermostat is brand new and was working perfectly. We realize you were not familiar with the NEST thermostat, and tried to walk you through it over the phone. Sorry this was not successful. We offered to have our handyman come by immediately, which you declined. The day you checked out, our cleaner went in and turned it on within one second. Hope you will stay with us again in the future.
I would definitely stay here again. Quiet neighborhood, home is as advertised, clean and comfortable.
I did email the owner about leaving one day early but did not hear back from her yet. Overall we had a very pleasurable week at the property.

Great Location but Safety concerns
Location was fantastic - close proximity to private beach and boat launch with lots to do rain or shine. Very friendly neighborhood and quiet at night. Owner has renovated the upstairs shower and it's fantastic. The concerns were mostly with the house - surfaces, floors, and bathrooms were clean, but cobwebs were in every corner and the ceiling fans had built up dust. Smoke detectors hung from ceilings by wiring, cable was out, internet was spotty. Very few kitchen utensils and pots had no covers. The one big pot with a cover had no handle on the cover. We had a "boil water order" from Town, but the kettle had a cover, but a broken spout. The toaster didn't work properly, but the stove/oven and dishwasher were in good working order.
We would definitely come to this area again, but would find different lodging.

Such an unfortunate and exaggerated review. Karen was definitely one of those "Karens". She contacted us almost daily with issues and no matter how we tried to assist her, she could not be made happy. The town water is not something we have any control over, it was a town wide issue. This home is in a rural area, in the woods, and it is common in that entire area to have spotty internet. Its a rustic but cozy home in the woods, not a Ritz Carlton. We would not rent to this person again.
Nice quiet section of Balmoral community..Lake was nice and full this year…No drought this year…
Though it cooled down lake temperature…
Dixie is a Great Host… thinks of everything…
The house is in a great location, just a half mile walk on a quiet road to the association beach or the playground. The small grassy backyard was a pleasant surprise and a great space for kids to play. The screened porch is great, especially since we stayed during a heat wave. The upstairs is hot on those 90+ days, but the ceilings fans do help. The master bath is very large and well updated. Worth noting: the downstairs bedroom is a queen, not a full. We brought full sheets and they didn’t fit. Otherwise everything in the listing is accurate, and some areas are better in person than in the listing photographs. The owner John is very kind and easy to communicate with should anything come up, as was Dixie during our communications with her before our stay.
Thank you for staying with us. It's the first time we have ever received less than a 4 star rating in 6 years. Please reach out if you have suggestions for improvement.
I really enjoyed myself and the house itself. I'm hoping to rent the same house again next year. It was a great stay. Thanks

Beautiful House!
The home was very nice and comfortable. Unfortunately it rained during a lot of our stay so we did not get to use the deck or barbecue grill.

Adorable house with some recent updates.
Perfect for a family vacation. The house was able to accommodate a family of 5 easily. The association and amenities were exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to returning.
