Located right on the beach, this property features a beautiful lagoon-style pool, spa, huge palapa, covered parking, and plenty of space and privacy. Perfect for one to two couples or more, there are two private bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a pull-out sofa in the living room. Mexican decor throughout, inside the house you will find comfortable furniture, a fully provisioned kitchen, DVD monitor, books, games, and cozy dining area.
Outside enjoy two covered patios, patio dining and gas barbecue. The ocean terrace features up-close enjoyment of the Pacific Ocean and a gas fire pit. A ramp off this terrace gives you direct access to the beach. There is a second, wood burning fire pit on the beach.
The lounge area on the upper observation deck on the house includes a daybed for sun bathing and/or stargazing. The shaded entertainment area is perfect to take in the panoramic views of both the Sierra Laguna Mountains and the ocean.
Stroll our beautiful secluded beach. Whale watching during the migration season is exciting, right from your personal terrace. We provide beach gear, including beach chairs, beach umbrella, cooler, picnic basket, beach towels, etc. Or if you want to play on your own private beach, we have regulation volleyball, badminton, and horseshoes on the property.
Lounge in the huge palapa adjacent to the lagoon-style solar heated pool. Or, relax and sun on the large oceanfront terrace with hammock and patio furniture surrounding the fire pit. Either way, you can take advantage of cool ocean breezes and the constant rhythm of the surf.
Roam the grounds and enjoy the unique desert plants in the gardens of Baja Beach Getaway.
We are surfer friendly, and close to two of the world's best surf breaks. We will help you arrange adventure tours, water recreation activities, private massage and/or yoga sessions, hiking, mountain biking and horse riding on the beach or in the mountains. The night sky is amazing here. You will remember your stargazing experience forever.
Perfect for a vacation with friends, or a romantic getaway. Sorry, but we are not suitable for young children under 12 due to the unfenced pool and many desert plants. We do, however, have a mobile crib for infants.
The property is walled on three sides, with the ocean on the 4th side. There are two homes on two separate lots within the compound. The homes are offset for maximum privacy, with landscaping, the pool, and palapa between the two lots. The larger home, VRBO property #618095, is normally occupied by the owners, but is available if a party wishes to rent both homes. For specials and more details, please search for our Baja Beach Getaway Web site.
Husband and wife team now enjoying sunny Baja and beautiful Pacific ocean. We can help you find all the activities you enjoy on vacation, from massage or yoga to surfing, snorkeling, horseback riding, adventure tours, and shopping. This fabulous vacation rental is near the best surf breaks in the Baja. Our Baja rescue dog, Cassie, is super friendly, but she has her own yard and will not bother you unless you want to play.
Sharon Sheldon purchased this house in 2013
We love the casual style of the Baja. It's nearly always sunny with clear skies and the beautiful Pacific Ocean is magnetic. The constant rhythm of the waves is so soothing and peaceful, we can't imagine living anywhere else.
Both sunrise and sunset are spectacular here. See the whales during migration season, just meters off the beach. Great restaurants, art galleries, outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and swimming, plus amazing opportunities for star gazing are just some of the memories you will take home.
We loved the property. Sent most of the time in the pool. Keith and Sharon were really helpful with local places to shop and eat.
My daughter wanted to take Casey the dog home with us. We cant wait to go back. Thanks again the Looney family.
There is not one thing I would change about this place. Keith and Sharon have thought of everything, there was not one more thing I could have asked for. Comfortable beds, great views, wonderful pool, hot tub, fantastic hosts, quiet nights and the sweetest resident dog! The stars at night were just incredible, it was almost like you could reach up and grab one out of the sky, that is how close they appeared to be. There were so many great little friendly places to eat in the general vicinity although it helps to speak Spanish and a car is a must. We felt completely safe in the area, the locals are friendly and attempt to meet you halfway if you try to speak Spanish, they will try to speak English. My family and I keep returning to the area because it isn't touristy and crazy like Cabo is, there is a lot of great local produce and fish to eat, the people are nice, both Pescadero and Todos Santos are cute towns with good restaurants and finally, when you can stay somewhere like this you really have got it all! Many thanks to our great hosts Keith and Sharon- tell Cassie we miss her!
Having rented homes all over the world, we put the Baja Beach casita very high on the list! We can only repeat what was said in the previous reviews, especially that Keith & Sharon are the hosts with the most of everything- grace, ideas, problem solving, fun, fast & perfect service. Every need is taken care of.
We were surprised to see the vast expanse of mountains & desert on the drive from the airport. Then we arrived to the oasis that surrounds their Baja Beach compound. Keith has created a botanical garden of palm trees, cacti, flowering plants, shells, artifacts & even whale bones. My favorite new word is "palapa" which is the typical palm thatched roofed patio, and theirs was huge. The property was unexpectedly lush & gorgeous.
The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was very functional for cooking. Casita was clean & comfortable. Wifi was amazingly fast & strong! So many different places to relax or watch the ocean depending on time of day, sun or shade, relax or look for whales, etc. They have thought of everything.
Stars sparkled at night & we saw so many constellations clearly. The pounding waves became a part of our daily rhythm. Many days were spent parked in front of the ocean being mesmerized by the fabulous surf. Waaaay off the grid & it was sheer joy!
Sharon has all the recs for restaurants, sights etc. Our favorite restaurants (& waiters) were: Los Adobes (Jorge), Hierba Buena (Tony), Gardenias (see the adorable father & son dogs, & little granddaughter Gardenia running in & out), Felipe's Restaurante Fabuloso (owner Felipe is quite a personality!) , & surpringly the Corona at the airport on our way home.
An extra word has to be said for Miss Cassie the dog, she of the sweetest disposition....her morning greetings started off each perfect day. We have requested to be her God-parents but Sharon said its a very long list.
You must have a car, we were glad we had researched the MANDATORY Mexican car rental insurance - do know that it only covers collision /damage payments to OTHER vehicles...be sure your credit card or car insurance covers your own rental.
It helps to speak a little Spanish when you are out & about, but many folks want to try some English, and Thank you + a smile will make you many friends. The Mexican people are ubiquitously friendly, helpful & kind. Altho we packed money belts, etc we never used them. We felt safe, comfortable & happy everywhere we went.
This is a real getaway with the most beautiful ocean view you could ever imagine. Whales and other sea life are mesmerizing as you enjoy morning coffee or a cocktail in the evening sitting around the fire pit on the bluff, just steps from your home. Keith and Sharon are incredible hosts, offering to help with any questions you may have, and organizing excursions with your family, or organizing yoga under the palapa. This estate is "off the grid" which is also a great experience - all solar power or via generator.
Bring some good flashlights as it is quite dark if you venture away from the property at night (a stroll on the beach).
Cerritos beach is a short 5 minute drive and a great beach for the day. El Pescadero is the local village with fun local restaurants and coffee shops. I highly recommend this property. We were actually there between Christmas and New Year's 2014-15. Sorry this review is so late!
Fabulous location about 90 minutes north of Cabo. We had a fabulous time. Property is clean, confortable, well appointed and has every amenity you could want. Private pool , fire pit, awesome ocean views. No issues. Highly recommended.
Sharron and Keith are excellent hosts - there when you need them or have questions; invisible at other times.
The locale is somewhat rugged but that is the appeal. Limtied spanish spoken in the neighborhood - ask Keith to help you out!
Fabulous private home, private pool, private beach, fire pit. Enjoyed it immensely. Went 5 minutes up the road to Cerritos Beach Club for swimming beach, my husband even took surf lessons. The people house sitting the main house were very sweet and accommodating. No problem with the solar usage for power. One small thing is a larger screen for watching movies would help.
We are located near two of the best surf breaks in the Baja, snorkel tours nearby, Todos Santos known as an artists' colony with many galleries in town. We are right on the beach, so beachcombing is primo. Property offers boogie boards, beach volleyball, badmitten, and horseshoes. Lounge and beach chairs, beach umbrellas, etc. Fun for couples, families, friends. Yoga and massage available on site.
