We stayed at Fred's beautiful home in late September for a family get together. The home was impeccably clean and had many amenities. The home offered breathtaking views of Lake George, on a secluded and quaint location, but still close to downtown of Bolton Landing . We used the fire pit every night and enjoyed relaxing on the deck. The large dining table and open concept of kitchen, dining and living area are perfect! Highly recommended! Can't wait to visit again!
Our family recently completed a week stay at the listed property; the house was "base camp" for a family reunion and for island camping with the grandkids. While the location is a bit far from the lake and you might need GPS to find the driveway you are more than rewarded by the views. The Pluses are: fabulous views of the lake, a hot tub that keep the kids busy while the adults enjoyed the deck fireplace, ample common space for eating, talking and playing board games. The downstairs foozball and TV set up was comfortable and somewhat noise-isolated from the up stairs bedrooms; and, the kitchen is specious and well equipped. The deficients are: each bedroom is different and some are oddly arranged and dark so assigning bedrooms may be an exercise in group decision making; have patience in locating the correct light switch for various lights (after a week, some of them remained a mystery but we are slow group); if you plan to read in bed you may want to bring a head lamp the rooms are not well lighted; depending upon the size of your group you may want to bring a folding table and chairs (dinning room table sits ten and the deck chairs accommodate eight); and lastly, the trek to the beach and piers for boating is a bit much if you are carrying supplies, so you may want to leave a car at dock side (parking at the public beach/pier is $5/day).
Lovely mornings and evenings made-up for the niggley drawbacks.
Beautiful log cabin and large rooms which easily accommodated a family reunion. We spent as much time as we could on the huge wrap around deck enjoying the views and mountain air with incredible panoramic view of Lake George. Large stone fireplaces in the family room and master bedroom. Has a great stone fire pit on the deck which is wonderful at night. Great hot tub up on a pedestal off the deck - can't beat it at night for viewing stars! We'll be back! Recommended. Cabin is very close to Bolton Landing - path to walk if desired - with quaint shops and restaurants.
This is a wonderful contemporary log home set high above the town of Bolton Landing. Our 6 adult family members stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. We spent as much time as we could on the huge wrap around deck enjoying the views and mountain air. We hosted a large gathering their 1 night for dinner and our visitors were blown away by the whole experience. Rooms are simply furnished and attractive. Beds are comfortable. My favorite spot was the big covered deck on the top floor, perfect for sunrises. Think twice about this choice if stairs are an issue, this house is on 3 levels and there are lots of stairs.
Beautiful rustic (and roomy) log cabin with incredible panoramic view of Lake George. Large stone fireplaces in the family room and master bedroom. Also stone fire pit on the deck which is wonderful at night - bring your own wood however. Great hot tub up on a pedestal off the deck - can't beat it at night for viewing stars! We'll be back! Recommended.

We rented Fred's house with three other couples to enjoy the lake after tourist season. The pictures don't do the house justice and the view of the lake is breathtaking. The weather was in the low 80's during the day great for Sept and we were able to take advantage of the fireplace on the deck at night. Fred recommended a marina to rent a pontoon boat which worked out great. The furnishing in the house meet all our needs and the beds were very comfortable. Plan to come back next year
