Acerca de este alojamiento
Historic Cottonwood Casita -Outdoor Soaking Tub
Stay in a hand-built 1939 adobe guest house, just 1 mile from Old Town Cottonwood & the Verde River. Lovingly renovated by our family, this private studio features a queen bed, full kitchen, leather sofa bed, and lush patio with louvered pergola. Soak under the stars in the oversized outdoor tub for two. Close to Sedona, Jerome, Clarkdale, and award-winning wineries, with pure artesian well water for every sip & shower.
Tucked away in the heart of the Verde Valley, just 25 minutes from Sedona, our hand-built 1939 adobe guest house blends history, charm, and modern comfort. Once a garage, it’s now a fully renovated studio with thick adobe walls. The main house, (completely separate by a full height fence and currently used only by our family) notably part of the Register of Historic Landmarks, was crafted by Luther White from river rock gathered right from the Verde River. He was a pioneer that cut roads in Cottonwood’s early days and collected countless rocks and artifacts as you’ll see embedded in the property’s construction. The front wall features flagstone, some imprinted with fossilized waves. See if you can locate the metates (large flattened stones used for grinding corn by the Native Americans) embedded into the fireplace and entrance of the home.
In the studio casita, you’ll have your own private patio with lush landscaping, a louvered pergola for shade, and our favorite feature—the oversized outdoor soaking tub for two, perfect for stargazing in Cottonwood’s dark sky community.
Inside, enjoy a cozy queen bed with all 100% cotton bedding, genuine leather sofa with pull-out bed, full kitchen, dining area, and large TV. The bathroom offers a refreshing shower, and all water on the property comes from our pure artesian well. Check out the well house at the front of the property. We believe it was one of the first in the area to supply water to the neighborhood, drilled 450 ft down in 1911!
Located just one mile from Old Town Cottonwood and the Verde River, and minutes from Jerome, Clarkdale, and award-winning wineries, this peaceful retreat makes the perfect base for wine country weekends, Sedona hiking adventures, or quiet romantic getaways.
For families with small children, we can provide a pack n play, booster seat high chair and kids’ dishes. Please request these in advance and we will have them set out for you.
