PLEASE NOTE:

This is a privately-owned condominium, not a hotel room. Our rental fees are lower than Aston’s fees, and are lower than all or most comparable VRBO units at the Waikiki Banyan. Depending on the season, you may also have received a discount. You have contracted for a great unit, with a great view, in a great location for a very reasonable price. We want you to have a great experience at our second home, but we also want you to understand that if you expect and desire immediate response from hotel staff (room service, daily cleaning, immediate service, etc.) you would be better off staying at a hotel. Most importantly, this unit absolutely does NOT provide daily maid service, daily cleaning service, shampoo, toothpaste, daily toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, playpens, cribs, pack n' plays, roll away beds, blow up air mattresses, etc. Should you have traveled without personal items or have forgotten some needed items, there are many local stores nearby including Wal-Mart that can provide you with said personal items.

Details respective to the $300 completely REFUNDABLE Deposit: When booking this unit we include on-site parking for your vehicle during the duration of your stay. A parking pass is left in the unit and ready for your immediate use upon check-in. Sadly, we have had a high number of guests that check out and never return the parking pass. Failure to leave the parking pass damages the next guest that stays in the unit. The Waikiki Banyan charges $100 to re-issue a parking pass. Therefore, a $300 refundable charge is held until you vacate the property and we are assured the parking pass is responsibly returned to the unit and the unit has sustained no damage. Promptly 14 days after your departure, VRBO will release & credit $300 to your credit card on file.This is NOT a profit center for the property owner. Thank you for your understanding.

CANCELLATIONS must be made in writing to Owner. Due to the high demand of this unit and particularly within the Waikiki Banyan Towers in general, this reservation is deemed non-refundable. With that said, once the unit is paid/booked, said reservation is immediately shown as blocked off / “booked” on the VRBO.com website barring anyone else from making the same reservation. Reservations are first come, first serve.

My stay was wonderful and your condo was very nice -- you guys did a great job of decorating! And I loved the mauka view -- better than the ocean view units in my perspective because there isn't any direct sun exposure in the afternoon which keeps the unit cool!

Waikiki Banyan, quality at a good price!

We had a wonderful stay. We loved the condo & furnishings. 5 of us were able to stay without problems. Parking was easy and did not cost extra. There were 4 fast elevators.

The kitchen had everything we needed. Our only problem was a sliding glass door that was resistant. It was supposed to be fixed, but was not. The view was overlooking the mountains, golf coarse, and canal. We could watch the sun rise. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub on the 6th floor. I would have given 5 stars if door had been fixed.

Great LOCATION!!! Close to the beach and all the top rated YELP restaurants!!

The condo was located just a couple of blocks away from the beach. Being on the 32nd floor, it had an incredible view of the hills from the balcony.

The condo had some minor issues such as light bulbs missing, burned frying pan, old towels and sheets. The bathroom towel holder kept falling out because a screw was missing.

I let the owner know the issues and he said he will get these issues fixed for the next guests. Well those are all minor issues...no big deal. Location of the condo made it worthwhile.

Just note that the unit does not provide toiletries such as shampoos and soaps. Bring your own or buys one at one of the ABC stores. I also recommend bringing your own bath towels as well as beach towels.

The unit does provide GIANT flat screen TV...nice refrigerator with an ice machine. Any left overs condiments, we kept in the refrigerator as previous renters did.

When you arrive at the condo...go directly to the parking structure and enter. Let the parking attendant know that you’re renting a unit for few days. He will let you in and park on the 4th floor.

Once you go into your unit. You’ll find the parking pass (must take it to your car immediately and hang it or leave it on the dash).

There is also an after hour key....you’ll need to take this key with you if you plan to arrive back at th condo after 8 pm and park your car. You’ll need to use the key to get access to the elevator area.

When you’re ready to check out, you must take the parking pass back up to the unit that morning.

Our flight was leaving at 9:30 pm. I requested the owner if we could check out at 12 noon instead of 11 am. He had no issues and ok’d for us to stay. Good communicator! However we ended up leaving at 9:30 am to spend our last full day on the island. Glad we did!

Down load “Shaka Tour” app for Oahu island. There are two tours and we did both in three days. Definitely worth it!!! It gives you excellent GPS guidance to all the nice beaches and scenic points....along with great narration and recommendations of local restaurants!

The unit also provides free Wi-Fi! Our kids loved having a Wi-Fi for their iPads!

We’d go back and stay at the same unit next time....location location location....and that GIANT TV!!!!!!

Property was fine, owner not so much.

Had some simple issues. Couldnt get TV to work, the response i recieved from christian was rude, eventually i got it working. Also notified him of some other issues that would make it better for future residentals, lamp bulbs were out, lani door falls of rail, and a few others.

Lastly, its been over a week and never recieved my security deposit back, owner wont respond to my messages.

Owner's Response: Property got 3 stars from this posting but the traveler/guest gets a zero star rating from the property owner. Response from the owner is certifiably rude? 100% correct. Property owner does not respect guests that trash his home, then ask for freebies and rebates. No thank you. Not tolerated for a moment by this property owner. TV didn't work? Press the power button and ALSO turn the cable box to "ON" position to receive the channels! Lamp bulb was out? Lamps need electricity in order to light up a room. Try plugging the cord into something called an electrical socket first. Deposit was returned 100% in full. Feel free to contact the VRBO business office to verify as the return is clearly noted in their database with time/date stamp or contact this property owner for a copy of the receipt showing the 100% complete and entire refund.

Wonderful location, excellent pool and play area, amazing TV ;)

Our family of four, with two small children, had a really good time staying in this unit. The building is decent and certainly is great for families with the pool and play structure. The pool was warm! (Which was nice given Hawaiian pools). The unit was clean with really nice decor and wonderfully appointed for it's size. The view on the VERY HIGH balcony was amazing and we could look at those mountains for hours.

Our host was amazing and gracious through the booking process and left clear instructions about how to access the unit. I would recommend clarifying how to access parking and which stalls can be used, but that was easy enough to figure out.

Great things:

-View

-Beds were SO comfortable

-Location is amazing - two block off the beach, right in the heart of everything, great restaurants near by (Skip Cheeseburger in Paradise...)

- Easy walking to Zoo and Aquarium (Easy walking for the whole Waikiki Area!)

-Pool, play structure

Things to consider

- If you are going to be cooking all of your meals, the kitchen and supplies are very basic. I will send a message about what might need to be replaced directly to the host. The fridge is HUGE and new, but the oven does take some time to warm up (yeah, yeah, hot oven in Hawaii, but the unit is so cool and lovely).

- If you have small children, it's not the BEST: No crib/pack and play (which we knew going in, so we just made sure there was an adult in the bed with the 1 year old), the table is bar height, so small children might fall off (we brought a tie-you-kid-to-the-chair contraption) and the TV is so big and HD that you turn it on once to Disney and they never want to leave the unit...

Over all, for the price, the location and facilities and unit it sell are absolutely worth it. (Honestly, we moved to the Hilton Hawaiian Village and, on retrospect, should have just stayed the last three nights here!)
