About this property
Cacapon Riverside Getaway
Cabin on Cacapon River is a quirky little cabin situated right on the Cacapon River! Located in the eastern panhandle of WV, the many windows offer awesome views of the river and mountain ridges. With 500 feet of riverfrontage on the property, there's plenty of space to paddle, swim, or relax on the bank. It is secluded and quiet. Only 25 minutes away from downtown Berkeley Springs, where you'll find hiking, fishing, shopping, dining, spas, antiquing, and state parks all nearby.
This is a small cabin where you can have a lot of fun with family and friends. There is a closed door between the living room, where the couch is a Full bed, an air mattress is a Queen, and the futon chair, twin to the kitchen, into the master. Listing says sleeps 5, but this would be cramped. Comfortable with two to four adults.
The property is 5 acres. You can see the clearing by the cabin, but if you're up for a challenging hike, you can hike up the mountain behind. You'll come to a large clearing with a horse barn and a road behind that. That's the end of the property. If you want to bring a dog to run and play up there, you can also drive or walk up Skyview, a gravel road. Come out of the cabin and make a left. You'll see Skyview on your right; take that to the top.
Firewood is not included; there is a $20 per day fee to use the firewood onsite; this is paid to me via VM
River access is explicitly - at your own risk.
This is the wild, in the spring, summer, and early fall, use your outdoor brain, there can be snakes around. Mostly harmless black snakes, but there have been Eastern rattlesnakes out there; they will let you know, or run away. But neither is often seen.
Two kayaks available for additional rent; must sign liability waiver prior to receiving lock code.
Guest Expectations
This is a remote mountain cabin in a natural setting. Bugs, leaves, and wildlife are part of the environment — if you’re looking for a sterile hotel-like experience, this may not be the right fit.
Pets and service animals must not be left unattended unless cleared with us in advance.
