Wonderful House; Terrible Construction Noise

  • 3 of 5

The interior of the house was very lovely, well organized, with many thoughtful touches. We loved having a home with air conditioning, especially on a few days when the temperature was in the upper 80's. The problem was not with the house itself, but the surroundings. We were never told about the construction happening around the house. It would have been good to have this information, as it would have affected our selection of a home for our precious vacation. In summary, here is what we dealt with:

(1) A new house was being constructed right next door. This construction was literally just a few feet away from the house we were renting. They were working daily on the site starting at 7 am.

(2) Outside the back of the house, they were working on flood mitigation around the creek and golf course area, so the entire backyard, walking path, and creek were torn up. There was a crew of workmen with heavy equipment working each day (bulldozing, dumping rocks, etc.). We were unable to enjoy either the downstairs patio or the upstairs deck until late into the evening when the workers were gone.

(3) Fish Creek Road was also under construction. Parts of the road were dug up, while other parts were closed. Navigating was a bit of a challenge.

I wish I could submit the pictures I took so that you could see for yourself!

Beautiful home; fantastic view!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to get away and enjoy Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park! There was plenty of room in the home for four adults and two teenagers. We woke up to mountain views and wildlife sightings and loved the spectacular sunset views in the evenings. Being so close to Lake Estes and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park was great! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This is a brand new, absolutely beautiful home. The furnishings are just as beautiful as the house, it appears to have been professionally decorated. Every little detail has been well thought out. It's like staying in a high end hotel, but better because everyone has their own space. This is actually the nicest place we have stayed on vacation, and that says a lot because we stayed in a beachfront cottage in Hawaii where they filmed Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Thank You to the owners for sharing such a nice home as a vacation rental. Our entire family, which ranged in age from 18 to 79 really enjoyed it!
