Why Christy Clettenberg chose Northwest

Lodge at River's Edge was purchased and extensively remodeled in 2005 and again in 2015. It is a family owned and operated business. We take pride in providing luxurious accommodations along with the beautiful surroundings. No where else in this Valley are you able to find a private riverfront setting where the river literally runs past your front door. Plus you are only a 1/2 block from downtown Basalt. It's the best of both worlds. You can enjoy cocktails on the riverfront terrace and then walk into Basalt for great dining and music.

It was wonderful, loved the river being 15 feet from the cabin. If we go back to Basalt we would want to rent the cabin again. Loved the fishing and the beauty of the area.

As good as it gets!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect little spot on the river! Every detail from the comfortable beds to the well appointed kitchen was top notch! The proximity to Basalt made for easy running back and forth to visit with our family and friends that had taken over the town for our daughter's wedding. But we had the perfect retreat from it all! Would love to come back....and never leave!

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

I wish we could pick up this cabin up and haul it with us on all our vacations! Perfect for our family of 4. It was nice and clean, from the cabin itself to the bed linens and towels. Our 9 and 13 year old girls stayed in the loft and there was plenty of room. Even though there is only one bathroom, it was plenty big for a couple of us to be in there at a time. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, there was a grill outside as well as river side seating to eat outside. The cabin is easy to get to but outside of town enough to be very peaceful. It's was very nice to open the windows and sleep to the sound of the river. The town of Basalt offered plenty of places to eat and there are nearby grocery stores, gas stations etc for supplies. The cabin is located close enough to walk into town. Basalt has a historic foot tour that you could take and a swinging bridge over the river itself. It was a perfect location for activities between Aspen and Glenwood Springs. I hope we can make it back sometime.

Great cabin on the Frying Pan River

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at the cabin with the windows open at night, it was relaxing to hear the river just a few feet away. The view is incredible and it is so peaceful. The cabin is newly remodeled with modern kitchen and bathroom, the washer and dryer is a nice amenity to have as well. The walk is so easy into Basalt where we enjoyed the Brick Pony Pub and the shops along the main street area too. It is casual and comfortable and made all us feel right at home but also as if we were in our own little private get away. With Aspen just a short drive from here, the cabin could not have been better for all of the activities that we wanted. Highly recommend!

Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I visited for our 5 year anniversary and had such a great time! The cabin is so spacious and cozy at the same time. Adorably decorated with the perfect sized kitchen and living area. The view is gorgeous and the location could not be better. We walked to fun dinners every night and shopped around town during the day. We plan on making it an annual anniversary trip!

Great Place

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here several times. The location is literally second to none.

the front door is maybe 40 feet from the Frying Pan river and there is nothing blocking the beautiful view. It also is totally off the beaten path, but still a 3minute walk to central Basalt.

we have been here in winter and summer and they are both incredible.

the cabin is quaint, and well equipped, perfect for just about any reason to bring you to the area
