Bright home with pool & tennis access, central AC & W/D - walk to the beach

New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

Sun Sand and Seay will keep your best vacation expectations in focus! Located on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home is close to the beach access bridge and within easy walking distance of the free swimming pool and tennis courts at Club Hatteras.

Enjoy plenty of concrete parking and a convenient, all-weather entry with a washer/dryer. The first living level has a large oceanside primary bedroom with a queen-size bed, a deck, and a private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub. The second bedroom (with a queen-size bed) and the third bedroom (with a double bed and a pyramid bunk) share access to the full hallway bathroom. Upstairs, a large living area with cathedral ceilings overlooks the oceanside sundeck. On the west side of the house, the well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar open to the dining area and the west deck. Living is easy in this well-appointed jewel of a cottage! With good views of the ocean to the east and spectacular sound sunsets to the west, Sun Sand and Seay is a clear winner.

Guests have access to Kinnakeet Shores Pool & Tennis. You will receive an amenity pass during check-in to utilize the shared facility.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Easy and Comfortable

We enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location. Quiet, but still close to everything we needed to access. The walking bridge was great to get over to the main road.

Perfect Place to Call Home

We greatly enjoyed our first stay at OBX; much of it is thanks to having a great house with a nice location just a few minutes walk to the beach! Set at the end of a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors and an easy access path to the beach. The house was cozy and welcoming and it was nice having the amenities! The property manager was quick to respond when we had a question as well. We’re hopefully looking forward to staying here again next year!

Spacious Rental in a Great Location

Sun Sand and Seay was clean and spacious. I really liked how the house was decorated. The location was farther from the beach than we usually stay but it worked out fine for us to walk using the pedestrian paths. We were also able to walk to the pool. The grocery and several restaurants were also a five minute drive. We got it for a great price and hope to come back some day.

Situated on a cul de sac which made for a great location. Very nice home and spacious. Nice appliances except for the microwave. Not sure why a new mic wasn’t installed over the stovetop instead of a small countertop one. Beautiful floors.

My stay

Overall, my family and I really enjoyed our stay at Sun Sand & Seay. The house was clean, in a great location, and we were provided with everything promised. The pool is within walking distance, it’s close to public beach access and it was a quiet stay. My only complaint is that the beds weren’t the least bit comfortable. I woke up sore everyday, which gave me an excuse to treat myself to a massage. I would definitely recommend this house to friends and family, with a heads up about the beds of course.

Nice - As Listed

We'll be back! Nice house with lots of natural lighting. Everything was in working condition. Plenty of dishes/cookware. Floors were swept, but could use a scrubbing. AC worked great. Outdoor shower for removing sand. Has a park-style charcoal grill. Easy check-in and check-out. Beach is about 7 min walk. We drove 8-10 min to beaches with fewer people.

Great for a large family

Always wanted to stay in Avon as it has a grocery store and other businesses close by. Stayed in Hatteras before and as much as I loved it, the drive to get the basic necessities got to be a burden. The house was very well setup. Had everything I needed and was in great condition overall. Neighborhood is quite and feels safe for the kids. Beach access is nearby and 4wd beach access is right there as well. My only complaint is that the couches are a bit worn as far as the springs go. Both my kids got cut by the springs from the pull out bed couch while sitting on it and the batteries for the remote were bad.

We had a wonderful long weekend with my husband and two college kids. House was beautiful and clean - newly remodeled. (Don't look at the pictures on the Hatteras Realty AP. lol) Quiet area at the end of the cul-de-sac. Community was safe and quiet, and very close to a small shopping center. Very convenient. I was nervous because it had no reviews- but all in all- a great trip and beautiful house. There are also some ocean views between the front and second row houses. Minimal, but its there from the deck! The only negative I could say is that the AC did not have an option to go below 70. Sleep was a little uncomfortable, we all like it cold at night.
