About the host
Your host
Hi, I’m Idan, husband to Sivan and proud dad of two adventurous boys, ages 8 and 10. We grew up in the Israeli desert, where open landscapes and quiet horizons taught us to love exploration and simplicity. Over the years, our family has traveled through remote places around the world — crossing countries with our camper, discovering new cultures, and collecting stories along the way.
When we reached Boulder County, Colorado, something just clicked. The balance between nature and community, the mountains and the people, made us feel instantly at home. We decided to settle here and build a life that celebrates everything we love: the outdoors, adventure, and family time.
We’re passionate about exploring all that Colorado has to offer — from off-road trails and camping trips to snowmobiling and skiing in winter. Hosting allows us to share that same spirit of discovery with others who value meaningful travel and connection. Our goal is simple: to make you feel welcome, relaxed, and inspired to explore this beautiful part of the world.
Why they chose this property
We chose to make our home in Louisville because it’s the perfect blend of small-town charm and big Colorado adventure. It’s a place where you can walk to a local café in the morning, ride your bike to a brewery downtown in the afternoon, and watch the sun set behind the Rockies in the evening.
Louisville offers everything we love — friendly neighbors, beautiful parks, great schools, and endless outdoor activities. The downtown area is full of character, with fantastic restaurants, bars, and local shops, all just a short bike ride away.
We love how close we are to Boulder, with its vibrant culture and energy, yet we get to enjoy the peaceful rhythm of a real community. The Front Range setting means we’re minutes from hiking trails, lakes, and open spaces, and only a short drive from Eldora Ski Resort or Rocky Mountain National Park.
This neighborhood feels like the best of both worlds — peaceful and connected, active and welcoming. It’s everything we dreamed of when we decided to put down roots in Colorado.
What makes this property unique
Our home, which we lovingly call the Colorado Family Basecamp, was designed to reflect the way we live — adventurous, connected, and family-centered. We wanted to create a place where families could feel at home while experiencing the beauty of Colorado. Every detail, from the cozy theater room to the outdoor hot tub and mountain bikes, was chosen to encourage togetherness and exploration.
What makes this property special isn’t just the amenities — it’s the spirit of the place. It’s a home built by a family that truly loves travel and nature, meant to host other families who do too. The layout gives everyone space to relax — three floors, multiple lounges, and a big backyard — but it also brings people together in shared moments: cooking, playing games, or watching a movie after a day of adventure.
Guests often tell us they can feel that the home was created with love and intention. We think that’s because it’s more than just a vacation rental — it’s our family’s invitation to slow down, connect, and discover what makes Colorado such an incredible place to call home.
