This recently remodeled and professionally designed split-level retreat is thoughtfully styled and packed with amenities. Every detail ~ from the furnishings to the layout ~ was curated with the Chesapeake Bay lifestyle and our ideal guest experience in mind. It sleeps up to 10 guests comfortably and includes four bedrooms:

- Main-level king suite with sitting area and work niche

- Upper-level king bedroom

- Upper-level full bedroom

- Bunk room with two full-over-full bunk beds

You'll wake up to water views from multiple rooms and enjoy stunning Chesapeake Bay sunrises from both decks.

Outdoor Bliss ~

You're steps away from a semi-private sandy beach — perfect for sunbathing, paddleboarding, and swimming in the endless open waters of the Bay. We provide beach chairs, umbrella, towels, kayaks, and paddleboards for you to enjoy.

Back at the house, you'll find a spacious yard with a firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs — the perfect spot to gather and roast marshmallows under the stars. Yard games include cornhole, giant Jenga, bocce, and badminton. We also have a ping-pong table and an outdoor dining table that cleverly converts into a shuffleboard and mini bowling setup.

Need a moment of calm? Roll out a yoga mat on the deck, relax on the tree swing, or listen to the wind chimes while perched on the peaceful bench under the shade of our favorite tree.

Indoor Fun ~

Rain or shine, there's always something to do. Our game room features a pool table and retro arcade machines (hello, Ms. Pac-Man and Centipede!) for hours of nostalgia-packed fun. We also stock board games, puzzles, and books for both kids and adults.

Smart TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi, and cozy gathering spaces throughout the home make it easy to settle in and unwind.

The Area ~

Bliss on the Bay is located in the quiet and charming town of Scotland, MD — just around an hour and forty-five minutes hours from Washington, D.C., but it feels like a world away. One mile up the road, you’ll find Point Lookout State Park, a beautiful historic area with multiple beaches (including a dog beach!), hiking trails, a Civil War museum, and some of the best crabbing, birdwatching, and kayaking in the region. Historic St. Mary's City, charming Leonardtown, and St. Mary's College are a short drive away.

Looking to get on the water? You can kayak or paddleboard right from our beach, or launch out and head down the Bay. Nearby shops offer fresh steamed crabs if you don’t feel like catching your own!
