About Travis & Tia Senenfelder

Originally from Walker, we now live in Minneapolis but come up to the cabin as much as we can. You just can't recreate the good vibes of small town Northern Minnesota. This home is our haven - a true place to relax, rejuvenate and create lifelong memories with family and friends. We hope your stay here will do the same!

Why Travis & Tia Senenfelder chose Leech Lake

Leech Lake is a big and wonderful lake. A real gem and one of Minnesota's largest lakes. But with the home on the smaller, more calm-watered Kabekona Bay, you can have the best of both worlds. Quick, easy access to world-renowned Walleye fishing... or a lovely day of swimming in the bay.

It's perfect for our family and doing all the activities we love...fishing, swimming, evening boat rides, lakeshore lunches...

Kabekona Bay is known for its breathtaking sunsets!

Comfortable and Peaceful on the Bay

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have been more pleased. Owners were responsive. Location was perfect. There is a lot about this cabin we enjoyed, both inside and out! Plenty of living space inside; nice with teens. WiFi was good. Kitchen has everything. Beds great. Outside is perfect with the patios, the sitting swings next to the fire pit, and the hammock. Sunsets on Kabekona Bay are spectacular!

Comfortable and Convenient

  • 5 of 5

In Walker for a family wedding, my sister and I rented this lovely property. The owners were a pleasure to rent from; prompt replies to emails, suggestions for things to do in Walker, and very professional. The cabin was well appointed and comfortable. There was nothing more we could have asked for. Also, the walking/biking trail was wonderful and just at the end of the drive into the property. I agree with another reviewer who stated that the pictures don't do it justice. It rained the entire weekend we were there, but the house was so comfortable, we didn't mind. I would definitely stay here again!

Great time on the lake.

  • 5 of 5

This was our 2nd year of renting this cabin and our family would highly recommend this place. It has all the comforts of home. The yard is large and private and we enjoyed the fire pit. The screened in porch is a great place to watch the sunsets. The owners added a new dock which made all the difference. Their is no real beach but the dock has stairs and the bottom is all sand. Tia the owner, responds to all emails and is very helpful. The bike path directly crosses the drive way for easy access. Downtown walker is only 5 minuets away.

Loved our time at the lake in this lovely cabin! PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 9 days at this lovely lake home and had a wonderful experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The location of this home is ideal, on quiet Kabekona Bay just 5 minutes from Walker. We enjoyed the quiet lake view, the cozy cabin and the absolutely stunning sunsets every night. In addition the fishing was very good! The owners were great to work with and we have already reserved again for next year - CAN'T WAIT! Thank you for sharing your lake home with us.

Beautiful Cabin with all the comforts of home

  • 5 of 5

Our group recently stayed at this cabin in mid July and it was perfect! Our group travels to Walker every summer for Moondance Jam, but we don't enjoy camping at the noisy grounds in a hot tent. A cabin is the only way to go!

We arrived to a large yard with a fire pit and a beautiful cabin! The pictures really do not do the interior justice. After reading the previous post, I feel like I did not stay in the same place. There was more than enough space for our group, the wireless internet worked fine, and everything was very, very clean. The bathrooms (having two full bathrooms was great!) were plenty big enough, clean, and everything worked perfectly.

We enjoyed lounging in the sun room watching TV, hanging out as a group at the large dining table, tanning on the dock directly below the cabin, time fishing on the lake, and campfires in the evening.

This cabin is great for anyone looking for a retreat from home but still wanting all the comforts of BEING at home.

No complaints at all here and would recommed to anyone!

Thanks to the both of you for a great weekend!

Pros and Cons

  • 3 of 5

We recently stayed for 2 weeks and overall enjoyed our stay, especially the town of Walker and the access to the bike trails. The new sunroom is very nice as well. However there are some drawbacks that should be addressed: ants in the drawers in kitchen and in the bedroom, the bathrooms are old and small, there were no chairs for the dock or the deck outside the master which was disappointing. The beach is non existent, the picture is not very accurate. Also the internet did not work for 3 days of our stay and we had to accept about 6 calls from the repairman and be available at the cabin for 3/4 of the day. When we talked to the owners about some reimbursement they wouldn't address it. That seemed unfair.

Leech Lake - the third largest lake in Minnesota - offers fun for the fishing enthusiast, boating and lakeside relaxing, and small town charm you can only find in Northern MN.

Great activities in both the summer and the winter. Our home is nestled on 400 feet of private lakeshore. Enjoy the sandy, walk-out beach or jump of the dock into the crystal clear Kabekona Bay. The pristine waters of Kabekona Bay give you the option of boating and swimming in this calmer bay, or you can quickly access the big lake for hours (or days) of lake boating, fishing and exploration. Tie-up at Agency Bay on a Saturday afternoon to mingle with the locals or 'put' around the lake and you'll will barely see another boater. Leech Lake is a gem that is never over-crowded.

Our cabin is just 5 minutes from downtown Walker where there is fine dining to small-town diners. Have a steak dinner at Boulders and then head over to the 502 for live music and drinks. Or grab a pizza at Bensons. Whether your looking for a simple meal or a night out on the town, Walker, MN has it.
