Spend your days swimming in the deep waters of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico or under the palms in the fresh water swim spa which is solar heated in the winter and shaded and cool in the summer. Enjoy evenings overlooking spectacular sunsets from the waterfront patio. Deep water dockage on the gulf with easy access to the ocean (available for additional charge). Outdoor marble wet bar with many amenities. Marble tables for outdoor dining, charcoal & gas grill on your private patio. Acadia kayak, washer and dryer. Lighted outdoor ping pong table, marble fish cleaning table.
Your home has 2 queen beds, custom woodwork, central vacuum & tile throughout. Sleeps 4 in air-conditioned comfort. Full kitchen inside in addition to outdoor kitchen and bar with oven & broiler and its amenities. One bath inside with another air-conditioned bath including bidet outside by the swim spa (both have large walk-in showers). Hardwired cable internet, Free WI-Fi, ePrint services available, Filtered drinking water, electronic safe, 40” LED HDTV with wireless apps including Pandora and Netflix all powered by Bose home theater speakers.
End of street privacy, while still conveniently located to everything. 5 restaurants are located within walking distance (.02 miles). 14 acre community park (.03 miles), with lighted tennis courts, skate board park, basketball, soccer, amphitheater, exercise trails & playground.
Outdoor facilities and common areas for the property are shared by the owner.
Responsible pets & owners welcome: $75.00 non refundable pet cleaning fee & $200.00 pet deposit refundable in the absence of damage.

This property was absolutely stunning! We had the most wonderful time. The views of the Gulf, the sunsets....saw Dolphins and loved watching the pelicans. Muffet has thought of everything for a perfect stay. The living space was cozy and comfortable. We loved hearing the history of the space and the functionality was amazing. It's secluded and quiet, yet mere steps away from the hustle and bustle of Marathon. We biked most days to the beach....did a few day trips to explore, but our favorite times were relaxing at the property. We did not want to leave and are already planning our return trip.

Muffet (the host) is such a nice person. Considerate, helpful, laid back and quite funny. Very accommodating. The "apartment" was great. Had everything we needed. The property is a quiet oasis in a very busy area. Plenty of room and very beautiful spot. Fishing from the dock was very productive using chum from the bait store right down the street. Almost every sundown was spectacular! This is a very special spot. Highly recommend.

This was our third stay at Muffet’s beautiful home. Her home is spotless and the perfect amount of space for me and my husband. Our accommodations were very neat and clean. Muffett has thought of everything you may need. The views of the Gulf were spectacular. Plus you could sit and watch the boats come in and out.The pool was perfect to cool off and relax.One of our favorite dinners was right next door at Key Fisheries. A slice of paradise

What a special place with so many personal touches that make a beautiful property feel like a home away from home. This worked perfectly for our family of three and we were so thankful for Muffett’s hospitality. It was a quiet place with beautiful sunsets and access to both a pool and private water access for snorkeling and swimming. We left property a few days but mostly just enjoyed all the beauty on site.

What a fantastic place to spend a vacation! We hopped in "the lagoon" almost every day for a swim or float. You have the option of sun or shade at the shore here too! We loved everything about this place.Our hostess, Muffet is an absolute peach. We will return for sure!!

Not your usual rental. This one has a great host that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. This place is off the path a bit, so you feel very safe weather you are there or not. There is a great sunset view and nice little pool to relax in. I will definitely try to stay here again.

Summer Stay 2024

Fantastic property and accommodations with superb views of the gulf coast. Sunsets were amazing. Owner made sure things were right and the stay was enjoyable. Marathon Key is centrally located in the keys, so our day trips to Key West, surrounding Keys and Everglades National Park were not all day car rides. Without hesitation we definitely stay here again.

I have lived in the Florida Keys for 30 years, and in this house for 24. When we first came to the Florida Keys my husband and I fell in love with it. It is the only place that comes anywhere close to the Bahamian Islands where I grew up and spent the first 12 years of my marriage. When it was time for our daughter to go to school, Marathon and this property was the perfect solution. My husband had been a shipwright and I had always loved working with wood which prompted us to start a Boat Refinishing business. I've always said, 'I get paid to play'. I continued the business successfully for 10 years until we had a Hurricane that did a great deal of damage to our property. I found It necessary to start the transition into working more on my house and less on my business. This was the best decision I have ever made. I love Building & Designing things and my years of experience with wood and varnish have given me the opportunity to make this property a beautiful and relaxing sanctuary for all to enjoy.
