Off-street parking for one vehicle/unit behind the house is available. Beware, the archway over the driveway is narrow. A van or SUV is fine but please go very slowly under the archway; you may need to fold in the mirrors. Additional street parking for a second vehicle or larger trucks/vans is available on the other side of the street. The exterior of the building is monitored by 24-hour surveillance – which we’ve never had to use – but adds an extra level of security. There is a train that runs through downtown Melbourne and can be heard in the late evening and early morning hours. A floor fan is available in the unit if white noise is needed for light sleepers.

I stayed here for three weeks and had a very pleasant experience. The place was clean, cozy, and comfortable throughout my stay. The location was excellent, with easy access to downtown, which made getting around very convenient. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located place.
Beth’s property was beautifully decorated and in a perfect location. I wish I could have stayed longer but due to outside circumstances I had to leave early. If her other property is just as nice, then I hope to enjoy the area again. Thanks!
Charming Spanish Revival steps to the Melbourne Main Street!
This property is quaint and charming. So clean and bright! I loved the hard wood floors, fireplace, and orange leather sectional! Want to ship it home to me, it's so comfy! The location is steps from all of my favorite places, the Foxtail Coffee Company in the Melby Hotel, the Crepe du France Place, Meg O'Malley's, and a new favorite for brunch/lunch, the Backwater! Just a short drive to the beach, and easy access to all main roads! It was a please to stay here!
The property was very easy to find and you could walk to the historical downtown area within minutes. It was also a short drive to the Indian River where you can park and walk over and back - almost 3 miles! Beth was very responsive. Check in was easy. The house was well stocked with pans and dishes. It smelled like bleach when I walked and was very clean. The king size bed was very comfy with extra pillows. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay. Thanks Beth!
We needed a clean and safe place to stay so we could visit our friends staying at a bed and breakfast on the beach for a few days. It turned out that this cute little apartment in this Spanish style home was a great little refuge for all of us when the weather turned bad and we needed a little more space for the kids and adults to get out of the rain!
It's fairly spacious for a 1 bed / 1 bath, had a comfortable living room and tv area, and decorated really nicely. Very clean and well maintained. My son loved looking for lizards and hanging out in the bamboo out back.
Our stay was short and sweet (2 nights), but for our time there it was happy and we enjoyed it.
Some things to be aware of:
- larger vehicles will have to take care with parking. My F-150 barely squeezed into the arch to the backyard parking area, but it did fit and we didn't have any issues. Anything larger will have to park in the front on the street.
- Older home means you can hear creaking above you when someone walks in one of the rooms above. Luckily this wasn't a real problem for us, but if you're sensitive, bring ear plugs.
The first nit was very clean and comfortable. And while the location is a bit off the beaten path, it is very close to a number of nice restaurants in Melbourne. This was our first visit, and we were pleasantly surprised with great restaurants, a huge art community and great beaches.

Poorly equipped
Apartment probably fine for short stays but insufficient if renter plans to eat in. Not a good neighborhood.

We always want to make guests happy but this guest it just wasn't possible. There wasn't anything specific they needed that we could address.
The house is a charming historic house. The interior decor even had an updated look but in keeping with the house. We will be coming back to this location again!

We have in suite heat and air conditioners which work great. Instructions provided with booking cover use of the AC/heat and guest did not reach out so we could help during their stay. Strange hosting experience. Guest moved furniture all around and did not move it back. We've never had any negative feedback prior to this on any channel re: to heat/AC which is provided.
