The Space:

Find your center on the Oregon Coast inside this adorable, three-story home within sight (and sound) of the ocean. Here, there's a place for everyone to call their own both inside and out. Whip up hot breakfasts or full-course dinners in your well-equipped kitchen with a view, dine together at the nearby, sunlit table, and then settle into the warm and inviting living area with comfortable furniture and a cable-equipped flatscreen TV. On the top floor of this home, you'll find an open, multi-purpose space with a TV room that the kids will love, plus a quiet, furnished space with views of the water where you can read, play games, or just relax. Outside, this home offers a deck with wrap-around bench seating for sunny summer days.

This wonderful Oceanside location is right near a state recreation area and miles of soft, sandy beaches for flying kites, building sandcastles, and beachcombing. If you work up an appetite while out on the sand, stop by Roseanna's Cafe or Blue Agate Cafe for a light snack or a full meal - both are easily walkable and offer takeout. And for additional must-visit destinations, take a drive into Tillamook, home of the world-famous Tillamook Cheese Factory, just a little over a 11 miles from your door.

This was a charming convenient house for my family! Clean, good views, everything we needed for a really fun vacation. Communication was a bit difficult with Vacasa because I did not sign up for the app.

Beautiful home and a short walk to the beach. Overall our stay was really good. However, there is no cell service and when we got there and intermittently during our stay the Internet was out. The Internet that they have listed to connect to was not an option and not the correct internet per the Internet box. We had to leave the property to get cell/data service on our phones so we could write to the host company and ask them to fix the internet/tv. When we got the Internet to work, the tv would not connect to the Internet. This was disappointing as we planned to stream the goonies while staying there. The host company was responsive and sent troubleshooting tips but when those didn’t work, they never sent someone out to fix the issue. The internet/tv cords are also a mess. We finally went to town and bought the dvd we wanted to watch. Then the microwave needed maintenance and wouldn’t pop popcorn. So, in summary, beautiful, unique home that was perfect for our vacation, but the host company needs to do some maintenance to make sure things are working for folks staying there.

Great house for a family.

This is a great location if you just want to be able to walk down to the beach as a family or as one person and another one just watch from the dining table.

Cozy place near the beach

We had a lovely time at this cozy house to celebrate thanksgiving with our family. Plenty of room for six people and a dog, and a great location near the beach. The beds were in varying degrees of uncomfortable, but everything else was great!

Great house to rent for an Oregon Coast getaway. The attn to detail after the last remodel was impeccable. Nice short walking distance to the beach. Just wish the property had a BBQ.

Overall: 3/5Pet-friendly house close to the beach, best for 3–4 people. Layout would feel tight for 6 guests. Wi-Fi and cell service were very limited. Close beach access. Cleanliness: 4/5Well maintained for a pet-friendly rental. Floors were sandy/dusty, but bedding was clean. Some laundry supplies were missing.Management: 1.5/5Clear check-in instructions, but difficult to reach support due to poor signal. Internet and TV never worked during the stay. Check out instructions sent upon request. But due too noted wifi was not received in time. Amenities: 2/5Major listed amenities were present, but most soap dispensers were empty or broken. Heating was inconsistent, though space heaters were provided.Space/Location: 4/5Great beach access within a short walk. Rooms were small with an unusual layout. Limited beach views. Located at a sloped corner lot. Only fits one car in driveway. Family Friendly: 2/5Limited child safety features, steep stairs across 3 levels, and weak cell service. Pack-and-play was available. Shower only, no tub.

Great location, good house

When we arrived, the outlets and electronics were not working. There was no way to communicate with the host because there’s no cell service in Oceanside unless your accommodations have WiFi. We figured out some fuses must have blown, found the fuse box, and got everything up and running again. The rest of our stay was great. House was clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture had been changed out since the property photos had been taken. The walk to the beach was short. We enjoyed the porch. Beds were comfy. Lots of stairs. Not for anyone with mobility issues.

They assured us that new photos are scheduled to be taken to show the new furniture and the fuse box was inspected and is working properly. Problems

To cook dinner selected pan and put on stove. Heated it set off the fire alarm. Apparently the pan had something on the bottom. Difficulty cleaning "it" off the stove. One garbage bag liner for a weeks stay of 7 people. One roll of paper towel--spare roll under the sink was soaking wet. Only hangers for clothes were 3-4 on the back of doors to 2 bedrooms. Locale is excellent. House was well furnished but amenities were lacking. We love Oceanside and have stayed at several different places but this was very disconcerting.

Oceanside beach house

We were only at the property for two nights. Our party included three adults and one springer spaniel. The house was super clean and the yard was lovely. We didn't use the upstairs bedroom and seating area because the stairs are very steep. We were concerned about traveling them down at night to use the bathroom. The bedrooms are small and had no hangers, so we couldn't hang up any clothes. The bathroom is lovely and quite small. The kitchen was great: well equipped and spacious with plenty of storage for our food. The living room and dining room were open and light with a view from the dining room of the ocean down the road. The house is a stone's throw from the beach, but the road is somewhat steep. (An elderly neighbor was walking up with his wife and slipped and fell on rain-dampened pavement and had difficulty getting up.)

Oceanside OR beach retreat

Location was great for us, just a short walk to the beach and the (only) two local restaurants. House is newly remodeled and was comfortable. Beds were comfortable but on the firmer side, most of the pillows available were pretty firm. Kitchen is pretty bare bones, just the very basics provided. Couldn’t find a spatula, and only salt, pepper, seafood seasoning and coffee were provided. Be sure to bring your own groceries with any condiments and spices you need, and get your perishables, fruit and vegetables in Tillamook as the local stores don’t carry a lot. Plan to go to Netarts or Tillamook for meals mid week if you aren’t cooking- the local restaurants have limited hours and may not be open. Internet was excellent, lots of TV stations and Netflix, but no books, games or puzzles, so again, bring your own along. Would be nice to have a soap dish in the bathroom and a shampoo/soap holder in the shower.

Overall I would give this property and host 3/5. Let me just list pros and cons to keep it simple.PROS: close and easy access to ocean Quiet and clean neighborhood Kitchen appliances/dishes and space Plenty of sleeping areas Downstairs small hand shower to help wash sand off Takes up to 2 dogs w/ additional appropriate fees - had no issues with that.CONS: COMMUNICATION (with host and property management) EXTREMELY poor internet service and it prevented me from a online meeting or just using phone in general (kept having to drive 5-10 min to get access) Communicated this issue several times never heard back Key pad wasn’t working (num pad sticks) so made getting in difficult Due to lack of internet service - no TV either (again no communication back) Cleanliness (chairs and the one rug had multiple stains, cobwebs and dust on appliances and in shower, dead bugs on counters and windowsills (cleaning crew just didn’t thoroughly clean - sheets and beds were fine) Extremely steep stairs with beds which we wanted so we could sleep with windows open but hubby has bad knee and it wasn’t safe with his knee issue.Overall, if communication was on par and issues resolved or at least addressed I would give 4-4.5 stars. I don’t even know if the owners are aware their employees lack communication and cleanliness.
