Blue Ridge Mountains Farmstead

My husband John is a local retired general contractor and was also a pastor for 31 years. He loves to fish and work with excavating machinery. I, Linda am from MN. We both love the Lord and enjoy traveling in our RV when we are not working on the farm.

We absolutely love the mountains and the views! They have a life of their own and change from moment to moment. Just the other day I saw two bobcat kittens outside my kitchen window in the hayfield playing and beyond them was the beautiful backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are so many outdoor things to see and do within a few miles, like New River State Park, Grayson Highlands waterfalls and wild ponies, Stone Mountain for the waterfalls, history, and views and Doughton Park on the Blueridge Parkway for the scenery and sunsets. Of course the Cheese Factory or MO’s boots in West Jefferson are a must. Southern Mountain cooking...a plethora of fine dining to chose from. Live Mountain music tells the tails and is abundantly available at many locations throughout the summer. And if you like to fish or tube/kayak please check out the absolutely amazing historic New River! Festivals, fairs, farmer markets and forever hiking trails are just some of the fun to be had on these famous mountains. You won’t want to leave and will surely be back again and again. ❤️
