Great clean, cute place! Super clean. Very comfortable beds with a variety of pillows to choose so you can get the one that is just right! Love the location by Fakahatchee Strand. Interesting books and a fun (but challenging) puzzle. We had a wonderful time!

Excellent place to stay if you want to be away from the city and be in the wilderness. Our one parker ranger was very excited to know where were staying, "beautiful area" so many nature trails we saw a ton of alligators and wildlife. Our host sent us a video of a bear that came on the property. We will be back again

I'll start off by saying Patrick is one of the best hosts we've had with VRBO. His rental is super clean and full of conveniences like bottled water, bug spray, pantry items and basic toiletries. We arrived much later than we expected the first night and there was a frozen meal kit and garlic bread available in the freezer. The closest restaurants were already closed for the night so we were so grateful to have a quick, hot meal available. The rental is in the back of a quiet little neighborhood with a nice double-gate entrance and privacy fence around the entire front and sides. There are also several game cameras on the property so we felt very safe. We brought our small fishing boat and had plenty of room to park and maneuver in and out of the property. This is a great location to access Big Cypress National Preserve, Fakahatchee Strand Preserve State Park, Everglades National Park, Everglades City and Chokoloskee Island. My husband and I came for the fishing and the opportunities were endless! We fished the 10,000 islands out of Everglades City, the backwaters out of Chokoloskee Island, canals along the Timiami Trail and SR29, Monument Lake in Big Cypress and the Golden Gate Canal system in Naples. We enjoyed island hopping, hiking and amazing sunsets. Bring bug spray and have it with you at all times so you can enjoy the beautiful outdoors here. Bring food with you or plan to eat out at the local restaurants since the closest grocery store is a 45min ride.
