Located on the EAST end of the 5th floor, DG 401 has side windows in the kitchen, dining room and living room for AWESOME VIEWS DOWN THE BEACH, day and night, along with 14’ WALLS OF GLASS in both the living room and in the master bedroom--FACING THE BEACH AND THE BEAUTIFUL BEACH WATERS AND WHITE SAND. There is nothing between the 30’ x 8’ balcony railing and the Gulf of America but sand, sea oats and footprints in the sand. FREE BEACH CHAIR SETUP includes two chairs and an umbrella from March through Thanksgiving.
Destin Gulfgate is a 66 unit family oriented gated condominium located in the middle of Destin, of Hwy 98, on 465’ OF PRIVATE BEACH. Come see for yourself why this family-friendly, gated condominium is a repeat favorite year after year! When you tire of the beach, there is a gulf side pool and fitness center,
Being on the east end, away from the elevators, means more privacy and quiet time. Located on the 5th floor, this unit has the advantage of being able to see the beach even when you are sitting in the living room. The unit is decorated in relaxing blue beach colors and décor to give a real Florida cottage feel…this is the beach after all! This custom floorplan is one of the largest 2 bed room floorplans in Destin with 1430 Sq Ft heated and cooled, in addition to the 30’ PRIVATE BALCONY where you can enjoy the beach and watch the fun even if you don’t want to be in the sand. The balcony has plenty of seating, including a dining table, bar top table to watch the dolphins and two loungers to catch morning or afternoon sun.
A large fully stocked kitchen with granite countertops makes it easy to dine in the condo rather than eating out all the time. Other amenities include Keurig, air fryer, TV, Kitchen bar, cell phone charging station. You will also enjoy having a full size ice machine in the wet bar with plenty of ice for sipping those cold drinks. There is seating at the kitchen bar in addition to seating at the dining room table. Adjoining the kitchen is a laundry room with full size washer and dryer.
The Master Bedroom opens to the balcony with its own 14’ wall of floor-to- ceiling glass. It has a KING bed with pillowtop mattress and a huge mirrored closet. , Adjoining the MBR is a private bathroom with double sink, granite topped vanity and a beautiful 6’ walk in shower. The second bedroom suite hosts 2 QUEEN BEDS and can have a private entrance to the second bath with a tub/shower. Both bedrooms have SMART FLAT SCREEN TV’S and BLUERAY PLAYERS. The Living/Dining area is 15’ x 29.’ The sofa is a Queen Sleeper Sofa for additional sleeping accommodations. There is a 65” SMART SCREEN TV plus Blu Ray player. The owners provide Netflix and Amazon Prime movies. There is also a music player with which to plays your own music. You can pair your cell phone music app to the entertainment system to provide music through the speakers instead of your tiny cell phone speaker. The unit 401 is TILED THROUGHOUT with 16’ diagonal tiles.
Destin Gulfgate is centrally located, just two miles from Florida’s largest charter boat fishing fleet and Harborwalk Village and seven miles from Silver Sands Designer Factory Stores, one of the Southeast’s largest designer outlets malls. And if you can’t find it there, the Destin Commons and Grand Boulevard will have it. Shopping is certified vacation activity here! The condo is within walking distance to THE TRACK AMUSEMENT PARK AND MINI-GOLF and a half a mile from Big Kahuna Water Slide Amusement Park. Also within 100 yards of the condo down the sidewalk is the BACK PORCH restaurant, the Candy Shop and Ruth Chris Steak House or Merlin’s Pizza. Grocery stores are just a short drive away- Winn Dixie, Target, WalMart, and the new and beautiful Publix. And if golf is your thing, there are 15 golf courses in the area to drive to. So you see, Destin Gulfgate is centrally located so you don’t have to be stuck in the traffic.
Condo rules—No pets; No smoking; Parent is required to be an occupant if the party includes singles under age of 25.
This vacation unit is normally available for rent to non-smoking families (no unaccompanied singles under 25) for WEEKLY rentals during prime season. Occasional stays less than a week are available in the off season or last minute-check with us to be sure our housekeeper (who is VERY good) can accommodate. Check in time is around 2 and check out time is 10 AM.

Listing was exactly as described, Roland met us on the first day to get us acclimated to the property and gave local recommendations. Perfect for our family of 5, great location, and we used the beach chair service. Would definitely recommend and we will be staying here again.
A corner unit right on the beach, just a short walk down the beach to the Back Porch! Ice machine was an asset! Master suite exits to the balcony! Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen with the exception of a cake pan. Great condo!!!
We loved our 4 night vacation here. The owner was super accommodating and exceptional with communication and tips for our trip! We loved the place and loved the views.

As the one who initiated, designed the site plan and unit floor plans, sold the condos to the first buyers, initially managed the Association and Rentals, and have continued to manage my unique unit 401 myself all these years, my wife Pat and I have great pride in what we created on prime Destin beach front. I could have built more condo units but chose to make the units oversized for comfort of owners and rental guests. Many other condos in Destin have multiple rows of chairs and umbrellas on the beach; not so at Gulfgate--only one row. Hope to see you again in 401 Ashley.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was! Mr. Guidry, gave us some great places to eat. Our Condo, was clean and had everything we needed.
We loved that the beach wasn’t crowded.

Condo was great. Owners were great as well. Arrival was easy, & even got to check-in earlier than expected. Area is perfect, & had perfect weather to go along with everything. Would definitely stay again.
Gulfgate 401 is in a great location, walking distance to The Back Porch and short drive to Harbor Boardwalk. Huge balcony beachfront with more beach per unit than most condo's in the area, so way less crowded. The pool is not large but has a zero entry and small slide for younger kids. Roland is a great host that is very responsive and helpful on the day you check in.
We really enjoyed our stay. The owner went above and beyond to answer all our questions and concerns, and even accommodated our travel plan changes. The unit has amazing views of the ocean. Private beach made it easy to always have a comfortable spot for our family, and it’s location for as close to all our Destin favorites like the boardwalk, Back Porch and Commons Area. The unit came fully equipped with everything we needed and then some. We would definitely stay here again!

This has been the best experience I have ever had with owners of a property. Roland and Pat were very involved from the moment I made the reservations. The condo was very nice. Roland left very user friendly instructions on all electronics. I would definitely stay with them again.
My mom and I had a wonderful and relaxing time staying in this condo. It was easy to find with Roland’s detailed directions and the check in was a breeze as well. The building the condo is in itself is very well kept, quiet, and secure, and while the condo isn’t the newest on the block, it is carefully maintained, clean, and comfortable to stay in. You really can’t beat the view or the corner unit!! We also enjoyed the outdoor seating area, pool, and short walk to the beach. The location was perfect for our needs, nestled perfectly between all our favorite restaurants and only a short drive to other Destin activities like the outlets, Baytown Wharf, and the harbor (it’s also very close to kids activities like water parks). We will absolutely be repeat customers and can’t wait for our next trip to beautiful destin.

I was the one who conceived, named, designed (floor plan and site plan) and administered the development of Destin Gulfgate as a member of the development team. Yes, the condo complex is approaching 30 years....but the board of directors is extremely proactive in upgrading the amenities and the physical plant. With 460' of beach front in 1993, I was able to stop at 66 units to make the development economically viable; if a "NEW" beach front site with that much beach front were developed today , the number of units would have to be three to five times as much for the development to succeed financially. One of Gulfgate's best assets are 8' X 30' balconies directly facing the beach with only sand dunes between the balcony railing and the water......and the number of units only 66 on 460' of Destin Prime beach front. This is why a leading rating agency of beach front condos in Destin rate Destin Gulfgate number one!!!

We had an awesome week at Gulfgate in Destin. The unit had a balcony and great view of the beach and ocean. Beach service for 2 was included in our stay, so we didn't have to lug chairs across the beach each day. The kids enjoyed the heated pool each afternoon. The unit was clean and spacious with a small kitchen area that we utilized daily. Bonuses that were much appreciated: washer and dryer in the unit, icemaker, and (seems like a minor detail, but it was much appreciated) handsoap at kitchen and bathroom faucets. We would definitely stay here again should the opportunity arise.
We had a great stay! Loved being right on the beach. Loved that there were liquid soaps at every sink instead of bar soap. They included 1 roll of paper towels for the kitchen and 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom which we ran out of, but Walmart and Target were close enough to grab more. They included a dishwasher tablet for each night, but we ran out of plates and forks several time so we bought some paper plates. The condo also came with some assorted spices and seasonings which saved us from buying those. All in all a great week, but we did have 7 people so expected having to purchase extra paper goods. Also never had any issues running out of hot water with all the showers, dishes, and laundry. We’d definitely stay again.
Destin Gulfgate 401 is an excellent property. The building is beautiful. It has a large private beach. Everything about the place was amazing from easy parking, fast elevators that were never crowded or busy, along with easy access to the beach (the owner provides umbrella and chair service) and pool area. Mr. Roland Guidry, the owner is wonderful. He communicated and made the whole process super easy! Unit 401 was perfect in ever way. The unit is very spacious and was immaculately clean. The kitchen was well equipped and the ice maker was an added bonus. The beds were very comfortable. Televisions were large and the owner even provided his Netflix account for use. I can’t recommend this unit enough! We will definitely be returning to this unit!
This condo was perfect for our family of 4! There was plenty of space for everyone, including the separate suites. We felt the condo included lots of little extras that just made life easier, such as a fully stocked kitchen, the sharing closet, coolers, and the ice maker was definitely an added bonus. Roland was on point with his communication. He came to meet us, gave us a quick tour of the place and showed us how everything worked. We loved his suggestion list and tried several, which ended up being our favorites. He even texted to be on the lookout for a nearby manatee, which we saw and was the highlight of our trip! The place was clean and the private beach was awesome for a less crowded experience. We would definitely recommend and will definitely book again the next time we visit Destin!

And as one of the developers and the designer, I made unit 401 unique. It is designed as two separate private suites and is one of a handful on units with both a 6' jacuzzi tub in one bath and a 6' walkin shower in the other. 401 is also a corner unit with more privacy and side windows.

Destin, Florida has the most beautiful beaches in the world. Also, every unit directly faces the beach and the building is closer to the water than any other condo other than those built 35 years ago when building could be placed closer.
