Brick House rental (Pictures 18-24)

Rock Hall is a quaint seashore town with a thriving fishing and boating community. The harbor is filled with crab and oyster boats which leave early every morning, returning with heaving baskets of shellfish for the town's fresh seafood restaurants. The main town too is lovely, with two large 18th century mansions on the National Register of Historic Places, three museums which discuss the town's local heritage and the maritime industry, and many picturesque board houses. The town is particularly stunning at sunset, when the warm light envelops the town and harbor in an intense glow.

We loved our time at the cottage! The backyard was the biggest hidden secret with large shade trees

The cottage was a great place for a weekend getaway. It was well furnished, well kept, very pleasant and turned out to be a lot of fun. I would recommend this place highly. Thanks for a great experience.

Peaceful and quiet harbor view cottage

  • 4 of 5

Front and rear stoops and chairs were quite dirty. Owner quickly responded and both areas were promptly cleaned.

Charming cottage in a great location!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful stay over Labor day weekend with another couple and checked out the town of Rock Hall from this rental. Since it was right by the harbor, we were able to walk all over town and take a ride around the bay in a sailboat. Back at the house, we enjoyed relaxing in the hammock in the shade of the large trees. The only con was the bathroom situation. We didn't realize we'd have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the bathroom and the water pressure was very low in the house. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this rental for a relaxing stay in a charming town on the water.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the heads up on the water pressure, the Town of Rock Hall is checking the water lines in the neighborhood this week to see if the issue is the main lines or the service to the house. It was determined it was the service to the house and I have replaced both the water and sewer lines and installed a Rinnai instant hot water system to replace the old 50 gallon tank. No one should have the problem you experienced. If VRBO had let me have access to this review sooner this issue would have been discovered sooner. They asked me to review your stay but since I am several hundred miles away for the Cottage and use an on-site manager to service the unit it was impossible to respond to your review before you received your deposit refund after 14 days had passed. Not a very user friendly system on their part.

Clean, great size family vacation and great town

  • 5 of 5

Very nice and clean cottage. Our kids loved the board games and puzzles. Close to a small beach and parks. This house provided all the amenities. Will come back again in the fall. Thanks so much James! Great place.

Second Time As Good As the First!

  • 5 of 5

We returned for a second most enjoyable time away and were treated to an added attraction. At least once a day there were deer in the backyard...sometimes 3 young deer and other times two mothers and two fawns...what a treat. We'll be back!

Gem in Rock Hall

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for our family getaway. It had everything we needed and more. It is very clean, beautifully maintained and attractively furnished with nautical decor. There was a nice assortment of games/puzzles and even a telescope to entertain our children. The property is very centrally located near the harbor and two of the best restaurants in Rock Hall - Harbor Shack and Waterman's. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying in this lovely cottage again soon.
