Exceeded all expectations

  • 5 of 5

Both the home and the host were exceptional, far beyond what we expected. I visited with my teenage sons and two of their friends, and everyone loved it. The house is gorgeous, the perfect size for a small family or small group of friends. It was beautifully appointed with lots of room to sit around and lounge, or play cards, or grill outside. There were drapes that you could pull shut over the master bedroom windows so it was really dark ... perfect for sleeping. The master bath has a sunken tub for relaxing. The kitchen is roomy and has everything in it that you might need -- bowls and dishes and glasses. Whenever I needed something, there it was, The provisions -- with everything from Wifi to paper towels and detergent to olive oil in the cabinet -- made it seem like the host really thought about what vacationers would need. There was also a washer and dryer. We don't play golf, but the back of the house opens onto a golf course that is so dark at night we could lie out there and look at the Milky Way. Big garage with room for your rental car. Air conditioning. Big closets for tossing your suitcases in so you can forget about them. Office for working (although who needs that on vacation?!) And since it is located about six miles outside of Sedona, you really get the sense that you are living there. The drive into town was easy and gorgeous, and there are plenty of stores for shopping and for food within half a mile of this property, and a great little cafe we visited every morning for espresso. We were never inconvenienced. I would -- and probably will -- vacation here every year. It is the perfect house. The host answered all our questions before, during and after our stay. I found her warm and responsive. This is the first VRBO home we have stayed in. I don't know if they are all this good, but this one was such a great experience that it should serve as a model for the whole program. It is every bit as good as it looks on the site -- and a great deal better.

Simply Beautiful

  • 5 of 5

If you are planning a trip to Sedona, we highly recommend a stay in this vacation rental home. The house is located with in 10 miles of downtown Sedona, in a quiet community along side a golf course, with breath taking views of the red rocks.

The house is beautifully decorated, well maintained, with all the comforts and amenities of home.

We enjoyed morning runs/walks through the neighborhood, nestled at the base of the red rocks, as well as many sightseeing activities in and around Sedona.

We are already planning a return trip!!!

Just Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We so much enjoyed staying at your place. The pictures of the place online are very good, but when you see in person, it is even better. We felt so comfortable and the place was nice an clean. It had everything you needed. The view in the backyard was just beautiful. We did go sight seeing, but it was nice just to hang out. We are definitely going to come back. We have rented a lot of homes for vacation, and this was at the top of the list. Even though we were there 9 days, we would have liked to stay longer. Thanks Again for sharing your place. Just Lovely! This was a great way to start off my retirement.

Lovely quiet house & great location

  • 5 of 5

First impression was amazement. This was pretty much the fanciest house I think we've ever rented on VRBO. Eye popping views, lots of windows and natural light, very roomy, great kitchen and outdoor grill. As an added bonus, the two wings of the house are well separated, meaning lots of privacy on both ends. The house sits on a golf course, which aids in the feeling of openness, but surprisingly (for me anyway) it felt pretty private being outside. They even have a TV next to the jacuzzi!

At first we were worried a bit about the fact that it isn't right downtown Sedona, because we are big believers in walkability, but in the end it turned out to be a really great thing because downtown Sedona is a zoo, and the house is off the beaten path a bit, meaning that everything was easily accessible with minimal hassle (parking, lines, etc.) and quiet. Plus, it turns out that a lot of our favorite hikes were pretty close to the house so we hardly ever even went through Sedona the week we were there. And you can walk to a cafe (Oak Creek Espresso was the best local cafe in our opinion), or grocery store, restaurant, etc. The local vibe is pretty SoCal but very bike friendly - everywhere we went there were bike lanes. Oh, and did I mention that the house came with two bikes (though no locks, so you can't leave your bike anywhere unattendend!).

Nikki was super friendly and gave us some great tips but was also as invisible as we needed her to be, so thank you Nikki!

Some tips: we love to hike and Nikki suggested going to the Hike House on the first day. That was really great advice. It's a business, and yet they spent a good half hour with us making several tips for hikes, restaurants, etc. and all we bought was a map! We told them what sort of places we wanted to see and how long and vigorous of a hike we wanted, and they gave us more than enough ideas and all of the ideas were fantastic and generally the less popular places. We have so many great photos! Another tip: if you like local beer and BBQ at very reasonable prices and a place with a lot of local color, check out the Oak Creek Brewing Company on Yavapai Drive. It's very quiet, you can sit outside, but you have to get there pretty early because they stop serving BBQ at around 8pm. Hardly anyone goes there but locals. This is NOT to be confused with the brew pub on 179, which is probably more crowded but may have better food. Schoolhouse Restaurant is a unique place walking distance from the house.

Hike, Trail Run, Bike, and Be Lazy in Convenience and Comfort in this Dog Friendly Home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a fantastic place to stay for all your Sedona Adventures. My wife and I rented Nikki's place for the month of February. Don't hesitate renting this place for these reasons:

1. Location: Close to some great trails with great views for running, hiking, and biking. Our favorite thing was to go out the the Baldwin Loop Trail (only a 7 minute drive) and run it 2 or 3 times as the sun was going down (you get different views clockwise our counterclockwise (fun end of the day run!). In the AM, we'd get out of bed and run down to Red Rock Crossing and then turn around and come back (even in Feb it can get hot after 9 or 10 so take water and wear a hat).

2. Location: Yeah another location: it is NOT in Sedona but in the quiet bedroom community of Oak Creek and sits on a golf course (if you golf, the club house is literally right around the corner). It was great not being around the traffic and tourist - believe me. There was a good IGA grocery store 2 minutes up the street which we used for convenience. But the trip to the Safeway in Sedona was relatively quick when we need to get lots of stuff.

3. Well Equipped- Sleep comfort rules at this place with a memory foam bed in the master. The second bedroom had a very comfy pillow top mattress which we did not use but we layed on it for future reference. The kitchen is well equipped and we made our own meals except on the weekend. Nikki has taken great care of the butcher block countertops - she must clean condition them frequently to keep them looking good. The master bath has 2 vanities, a shower and a jetted tub - nice. Reliable internet (cable).

4. Enclosed Patio: Fantastic and the walls were high enough that we were able to let our Std. Poodle roam around with no fear

So just save yourselves a lot of time and rent this place - just don't do it when we want it.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at Nikki's Oakcreek property the week of Thanksgiving in 2015 with my wife and inlaws. It is a wonderful property that gives you great access to all that Sedona has to offer. Nikki is incredibly helpful and responsive and is ready to answer any questions and offer advice for those new to the Sedona area.

The house is spacious and has a wonderful common area with high ceilings and views of the red rocks and golf course. We loved being able to come back after a long day of hiking to the peaceful/quiet property.
