Our home is designed to entertain and relax our friends and yours with a huge list of amenities and local attractions, both indoors and outdoors that create the ideal base for a well-rounded visit to the Hudson Valley. We are located just minutes away from Woodstock (10 min), Saugerties (15 min), Kingston (15 min) and Phoenicia (20 min) and just a short trip away from Rhinebeck, Hudson, New Paltz, Hunter, Hyde Park and the magical Catskill State Park where you can catch the all the glorious sporting and cultural offerings this legendary region offers.
The wooded setting of this property is an incredibly serene getaway we chose for its complete privacy. In fact, the back deck opens onto a bowl-shaped rock ledge at the far end of the property, wrapping the house in a living sculpture - the perfect place to watch the falling leaves, or snow! Our guests most often comment on the sense of peace that comes from waking up to bird songs in the morning and falling asleep to a sky full of stars at night. Spending the day with a book by the pool (or fireside) is the perfect way to watch a week go by before you know it!
The second reason we fell in love with this property is the proximity to our favorite Hudson Valley pursuits: hiking, eating and music! After a day of fresh mountain air on the trails or the slopes we like to celebrate at the incredible local restaurants and cocktail bars. Being a few minutes away from the local brewery is a great time saver! Whether you are picking up specialty meats for the grill, a new jazz album from the record store or grabbing a bushel of apples from the farmers market, the convenience of this location is impossible to beat!
Being on vacation doesn’t have to mean you’re cut off from the world…unless you want to be. We have full cell and wifi service at the house to make the transition into down time just a little smoother.
Our recent remodeling has created a colorful, cheerful space featuring local poster art as well as an eclectic mix of antiques and unique craft furniture from local artists.
Please contact us with any questions. We would be delighted to help you plan a trip that works for both your schedule and personal interests. Below is just a sampling of our favorite ways to entertain guests at home and in our fantastic neighborhood!
