Stunning property on 5 lush acres in the heart of Paradise Valley, AZ

Breath-taking backyard in the heart of Paradise Valley. This amazing home and backyard rest at the base of the prestigious and popular Camelback Mountain near the Cholla trail.

This is an amazing property in a prime Paradise Valley location with a lake, running stream, bocce ball court, koi pond, tennis court, work-out room 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, and acres of sports facilities (NOTE: 5th bedroom is accessed through master bedroom). We have a total of 6 beds with the option of additional air mattresses for more guests.

This is a California-style ranch home built in the 60's that exudes warmth and charm. Kitchen has stainless steel appliances, 4-burner gas stove, granite tile counter tops, large center island & custom cabinets. The family room boasts a pool table and 60 inch TV. The guest rooms have been recently updated and remodeled with guest comfort in mind with luxurious spa sheets for bedding. The California king bed and queen beds are temperpedic and amazingly comfortable.

The home has hard wood floors, satillo tile, and carpet in one bedroom. The master bedroom doors open out to the lush grounds & sparkling salt water pool. All bathrooms have been remodeled with travertine floors. The laundry area is complete with front loading washer and dryer. Other features of the home include a pool, billiard table and baby grand piano.

The back half of the property has a lake, lilly lined stream, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, ping pong table, vegetable garden, citrus trees, koi pond, and catfish filled lake. This is a cozy and inviting home in the most amazingly tranquil setting.

Clete is our on-site manager who lives in the detached guest house by the pool. He can answer any questions regarding the home and is also a great resource for local restaurants and bars. He maintains his privacy and yours throughout your stay.

From November until May, Mondays and Thursdays from 6pm-10pm and Saturday from 10am-3pm the tennis court is reserved for the co-owner.


Please note the bedroom situation. The full bedroom is accessed through the master bedroom so if someone is staying in the full bedroom the master bed is NOT completely private. The bedrooms on the south wing share a bathroom. And the full bedroom and master bedroom share a bathroom.

Guest Access



You will have access to the pool, front lawn, entire home. Tennis court access will need to be discussed before booking. The 5 acres of manicured lawn are available for your enjoyment.

The tennis pavilion is a 2000 square foot facility next to the tennis court which is available at an additional rate of $400/day as it requires more cooling and maintenance beyond the main house. The pavilion has a separate kitchen, TV area, restrooms, and locker room. There is a one time $100 cleaning fee for all pavilion rentals.

The tennis court can be reserved by special request only. There is no additional fee to use the court.

The Neighborhood

This is a very quite and private neighborhood. The home is gated for the utmost safety. The home is perfectly situated if you're interested in biking, hiking or walking. The surrounding lots are all on 5 acre parcels so there is a lot of privacy and peace in the backyard.

The home is just one mile away from the Sanctuary Resort, Phoenician Resort, and Montelucia Resort...all of which have award winning restaurants and spas.

It is also just two blocks away from Cholla road which is the starting point for the Cholla trail up Camelback Mountain.

Getting around

There is very little public transport in the town of Paradise Valley in general. You will need a form of transport like taxi or car to get around. Hiring a car is highly recommended!!

Other Things to Note



Please note our check in and check out times are very strict since we often have check in and check outs on the same day and we need a full 4 hours to clean the house for the next set of guests.

The saltwater pool can be heated for an additional $50/day to cover heating costs. We would just need to know at least two days in advance to begin heating the pool.

There is a three day minimum booking on weekends during the high season October through May.

To allow the pricing to me more affordable for smaller groups, there is a $90/per person fee over 8 people

My husband and I moved to Austin by way of Scottsdale and Venice Beach. We met at a festival in the black rock desert in 2010 and have been inseparable ever since. Will is originally from Alaska and I am from Phoenix...he keeps me cool and I warm his heart. We now have 2 little girls who have stolen both of our hearts. We are both visual artists. I am a professional photographer and Will is a visual effects artist working in the movie industry. We have rented from VRBO for our own personal travel and are excited for the opportunity to give back to the traveler community and allow other guests to stay at our home.

Paradise doesn't even come close to describing this property. I am a frequent traveler, and I always choose to rent homes when vacationing with my children. Of all my (many) experiences to date, I have never had my expectations exceeded like they were with this home. First, Hollye was a dream. She was responsive and incredibly welcoming even prior to our arrival. In truth, I thought the photos might look better than the actual property considering Hollye is a photographer. No joke - the photos do not do the property justice. No photo would. You simply have to come to experience. The home is nestled in a quiet community of larger estates. It is a VERY short walk to one of the nicest resorts in the area (Phoenician), closer to one of the most popular hiking trails (Cholla) and close to MANY great restaurants and shopping. Of course, aside from one hike, we never left because there was absolutely no need. The home is expansive and offers a great deal of space. Two bedrooms with the most comfortable beds are located at each of the two wings, and there is plenty of space for your belongings. Between the living area, sunroom, library alcove, dining room, big kitchen, TV room (which is essentially two huge rooms with one side occupying a pool table), there is no lack of space to congregate or find some quiet time. The kitchen was kindly stocked by our hosts with wonderful treats, a nearly stocked bar, and even the bathrooms were stocked with toilettries. Chris, the NICEST person, showed us around the home and property, and he was always available if we ever needed. While we didn't venture into the gorgeous gym, we did make full use of the remaining four acres. The pool is closely located to the house. We spent an afternoon their with some local family and enjoyed the BBQ as well as the shady seating area. Ample places to sit and completely comfortable. Beyond the gate of the house/pool was essentially the nicest resort in all of Phoenix. My children were so surprised by the gorgeous playhouse where they had tea with some stuffed animal friends. We played ping pong, volleyball, bacci ball, basketball and tennis, and each set up was completely high end and professional. It was difficult to pry me from the lakeside seating areas, and my kids enjoyed exploring the stream. If you want to really enjoy the finer things in life, rent the pavillion. The entire property is breathtaking, and the landscaping is worthy of magazine covers.

Amazing property

Such an amazing piece of property. The grounds are massive and feels like your own personal resort. It was set-up well for a group and we had a wonderful time enjoying the pool and yard games. I'd absolutely stay there again.

Awesome! The pictures looked great but the real thing was even more beautiful.

We rented the home for a quick family staycation.   The house and grounds are amazing!  Clete was awesome and helped get us acquainted with the property and home.  The house was clean and the sheets were fantastic.  We played volleyball most of the day and swam.  We will definitely be back!!

Loved the Property

My friends and family really enjoyed our stay. My only comment would be that there were a few areas of the house (bathrooms, showers, underneath the beds) that had dead and alive cockroaches, spiders, and crickets.

We have just changed extermination companies as of a couple weeks ago and I'm happy to say that we have not had any issues as of late. I think with the rains and monsoons the crickets tend to increase. Since most of our guests like to leave the doors open we tend to have creatures come inside in the July months. We'll definitely keep a closer eye out for insects in the summer months.

Living in paradise in paradise valley.

This estate truly has everything from top notch amenities to beautiful sunsets. On end of the grounds you can admire the koi fish swimming in their pond while on the other you can relax by the cool water misters after an invigorating game of tennis. Nightly firepit lounging and daily swimming. Worst part of the trip was having to leave.

Grounds are beautiful. House is as shown; '60's. Lacked privacy a bit.

The answer I look for in reviews is whether the person would go back. I won't. But it is a great location and lovely grounds.

There is a caretaker living on site. With his two dogs. We like dogs and these were cute. The caretaker was very responsive. Nice fellow.

Also, the owners are often on site, as well as other people who identified themselves as 'working for the owner'.

The caretaker advised that he and the owners had discussed that we were the quietest guests ever. Not calling or emailing the owner. ( We did call the caretaker once as the pool was not heated, although we had paid the additional money sought for the heating. )

We did not call the owner, as we wanted a private family vacation. We did not want to interact with the owners. That is what we paid for. It is not necessarily exactly what we got.

If you are ok with the 'owners' and their 'workers' coming and going while you are in residence, then the grounds will make this a great spot for you. The grounds are very well maintained. The sports activities were great when we had them to ourselves.

I would recommend this for a one day/weekend sporty corporate retreat or maybe a wedding. It is a beautiful setting, particularly when the owners' workers are not loudly chatting on their phones and applauding basketball shots being made by my kids.

There is some beautiful art and the piano was well tuned. The indoor furnishings are otherwise mostly as shown in the pictures. The living room appears to be thrown together from estate sales or left overs from other homes. Comfortable, but mismatched and a bit tired.

They were in contrast to the tennis pavilion and sports areas, which are lovely and clearly well maintained.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the pool heating, we actually gave you 3 additional days of heating above and beyond what you paid for. It just so happened that the heater shuts off after three days. Once you let Clete know it was off, he gave you more days of heated pool time for free. I reached out to you a number of times to be sure everything was working property. Since our property manager tends to stay out of the way of our guests, he's not always checking the temp of the pool. A simple heads up to him sounds like it did the trick. Regarding the workers, we have a 5 acre estate with a 6000 square foot home. The home is rented 80% of the time so inevitably there are times where repairs need to be made to ensure that all of the sports facilities are in working order. Additionally we have landscapers who come weekly to keep the grounds looking good. It's impossible to schedule the landscaping crew around the individual bookings. The pool table broke from the last set of guests who stayed in the home and the week you were in the house was the repair mans first availability. When I texted you to ask about sending a repair man you responded "No Worries" If you didn't want someone coming to repair I would have hoped you would have let me know in which case I would have rescheduled him for another day. While renting someones home does give you an element of privacy beyond what you would get at a hotel, there are still interactions that need to be made with the owner in order to ensure that everything is working properly. VRBO is a community that relies on feedback. Regarding the co-owner, it's stated very clearly in our description and home manual when he will be on property playing tennis. He enters from the opposite side of the property from a separate entrance. Since most people are clear on this before booking, we've never had a complaint about this. It seems maybe you didn't read the description of the home as we make a point to mention it multiple times. We pride ourselves on offering the finest and cleanest quality sheets, towels and pillows which in my mind are the most important part of a comfortable stay. The furniture and styling of the home can be seen clearly in the photos. I would recommend for your future stays that you communicate more clearly with the owner. It was frustrating on my end to be emailing, texting and calling you to check in with no response.
