About the property

Charming & Spacious Whidbey Island Beach House! Comfortably Sleeps Up to 8!

New on market July 2014! Charming and spacious three bedroom two bath beach house on beautiful Whidbey Island in Harrington Lagoon with unobstructed views of Penn Cove, Saratoga Passage and Mount Baker! Create lasting memories here as you come to relax and explore all that Whidbey Island has to offer!

The home is centrally located on the island just 30 minutes from the Clinton ferry landing and just south of historic and charming Coupeville! Enjoy the Saturday Farmer’s Market which runs April through mid October, fine restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, ice cream, and so much more! Also close to Fort Casey and Ebey’s Landing for adventurous day hikes! For the golf lovers, a number of scenic and challenging golf courses are also close by. If you are coming from the north end of the state, enjoy a drive over Deception Pass and through Oak Harbor instead of taking the ferry.

Watch whales, otters, bald eagles, boats and much more from the view decks or inside with the walls of windows towards the water! Directly in front of the home and through the white picket fence is a large community lot with a large grassy area that is directly on the water’s edge so the beach is just steps away for walking and exploring and having bonfires!

The great room offers stunning views of the water and Mount Baker as well as a warm cozy gas fireplace and a large flat panel TV. The dining room also looks out towards the water and features a table that seats up to 8 for large family gatherings! The open and fully equipped kitchen includes a electric glass cook top, microwave and an eating bar for additional seating. Just off the dining area and kitchen is access to the view deck where you can enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee and gaze out towards the water and Mount Baker. Or enjoy a summer barbecue as the children play a ball game on the grass below!

This home features three bedrooms…a master bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third front view bedroom with a queen bed and trundle bed. A full size washer and dryer are also available for use!

Whether you’re looking for a family vacation, a romantic getaway, a girl’s weekend or guy’s golf getaway, or another reason you need to escape from the “real world,” this home is the perfect place!

Great family getaway! We enjoyed the expansive views, watching Bald Eagles, herons and seals from the couch. Short drive to Coupeville. We’ll be back!

Wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

Our family very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable house with an amazingly beautiful view! Those lovely large windows! Very child friendly with indoor activities, open grass area to throw Frisbee, and an easy stroll down to the beach to skip stones or hear the waves roll in. Owners were very attentive and responsive. Loved it!

Cozy cottage with an amazing view

  • 5 of 5

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our week at the beach house. We were close to the water and had great access for dipping our toes, clamming and putting in our kayaks. The home is in an area protected from wind so even when the winds whistled on the island all was calm for us. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to prepare meals. There were plenty of towels for everyone, and the beds were very comfortable. The decor was warm and homey, and everything was clean. We felt more like we were staying in a friends home than a rental property. Frank was responsive and friendly in our communications with him. Thanks for sharing your lovely home. We can't wait to come back!

Great beachcombing for kids

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with 3 kids, the grandparents, and our dog. It was so close to the beach! During low tide, the kids found crabs, clams, and sea stars. We had beautiful views of Mt. Baker. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We appreciated the Wifi and On Demand TV. Our elderly dog appreciated having no steps! This house would work well for any person or animal who has a hard time with stairs. It was close enough to Coupeville and well-located centrally on Whidbey, so easy access to anywhere on the island. The one downside was the Naval jets flying so low over the area. 1-2 times a day, they'd do their drills for about an hour at a time. When they were flying, it was hard to be outside because we couldn't hear each other talking. Two of the nights we were there, they flew until 11 or 11:30 pm and it was hard for the kids to sleep. I know the owners don't have any way to control this, which is why I'm still giving 5 stars, but I just thought people should be aware, because a person or animal who is sensitive to noise could have a hard time here.
