Experience Palm Springs Living at its best! Mesquite Country Club is one of the most desirable locations in Palm Springs! This inviting condo is located in a serene, resort-like gated community on the ground floor of a two story building.
This attractively furnished home offers plenty of space (almost 1200 sq. ft!) for relaxed living with great separation of bedrooms! Large Primary Suite offers access to the rear patio. Enjoy the 50” Smart TV while lounging in your California King sized bed. The spacious bath offers a dressing area and large closet.
The Second Bedroom, with it’s Four Poster Queen sized bed, has its own patio and wall mounted 32” HD TV with a digital cable box. The main bath features a newer vanity with granite counter top.
The Living Room features a large Entertainment Unit which houses a 40” Smart TV, as well as a Sony DVD Player. Enjoy your viewing from a large comfortable sofa, or one of the arm chairs. You will find a portable stereo with Bluetooth, so you can enjoy your own tunes from your device. This spacious room opens up to the large patio with plenty of outside seating, a BBQ (New, as of summer 2024), and beautiful panoramic views of the mountains. With a southwestern exposure, enjoy your morning coffee, or a relaxing dinner as you drink in the views of the greenbelt and San Jacinto Mountains, within earshot of the soothing babble of the nearby fountain.
In the Kitchen you will find all the essentials you need for your home away from home: Electric glass top range, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, coffee maker, toaster, blender, and all the implements you could wish for. Updated shower enclosure in the Primary Bath as of Fall 2023, and a New BBQ as of summer 2024.
Also provided for you, is WiFi, and phone with unlimited long distance within the continental U.S. and Canada.
Two sparkling pools are nearby (within a 30 second walk), but there are a total of 5 in the Complex, each with an adjacent hot tub, so be sure to take a pleasant walk around and explore them all. There are two Pickle Ball Courts on site, and one Tennis Court.

My sister and I came down for 10 days and really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean and everyday supplies were included. There was a welcome gift basket on arrival. We enjoyed the pool area every day.

A Wonderful Stay

I recently spent two months in this condo, and highly recommend it. I love the patio, the view of the mountains, the many hummingbirds, and the relaxing sound of the fountain. And the condo itself is very comfy, well-stocked, and so conveniently located. I really appreciate that the complex is meticulously maintained and in a quiet setting. The owner was prompt in communication, and the property is just as described.

Property is in wonderful location, right across the street Mesquite Golf club. The condo complex has five pools and spas. The property can only sleep four, as the fold out couch in living room is unusable. Master bath needs a complete renovation. Caulking around tub was coming off and had areas of black mold.

Loved this condo and will stay there again!!

This Condo is in a great gated-community. The beauty of the community is wonderful. There are 5 swimming pools and 2 tennis courts. I did not play tennis, however there were tennis rackets in the unit. There were also many pool toys and a shopping cart that came in handy when going to the pool. The owner and property manager were very friendly and helpful. Fast answer-back from the owner when requesting info pertaining to the condo. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Loved the patio and BBQ grill. The area proved to be great also. Would recommend a car if you are renting there, as it is in the South end of Palm Springs and so is a ways to downtown. However, well worth it. Loved this condo and will stay there again!

Bad Surprise

Don't be fooled by the pictures. This property has terrible furniture that is very uncomfortable. The TV is housed in an older entertainment unit which blocks the view of the screen if sitting at a slight angle when viewing. The rugs are old shag carpets that are stained from wear. The BBQ is the cheapest one they owners could buy. One step above a hibachi! The owners attempt to manage the property themselves from another country instead a paying a property manager. As a result, they aren't aware or maybe don't care about the condition of the unit. We were very unsatisfied by the whole experience.

Relaxing Vacation With The Comforts of Home

My husband, daughter and myself rented this condo back in May 2015. The property was very nice and included all of the comforts of home. All linens were provided, it includes a full kitchen, and the unit was clean and instantly comfortable. The owners had food items like coffee and condiments stocked for our use. The community pool was just a few steps away which made for a perfect package. There is a back, fenced in patio with a dining table and grill. It was nice to eat meals outside as we gazed at the mountains in the distance. Believe it or not, it actually rained a few days during our visit but the rain proved not to be a problem since the condo had WiFi and cable. There were many TV channels to keep us busy during those rainy days. Parking was never an issue, the grounds were serene and quite, and the community is gated which added to my sense of security. The condo is very close to downtown Palm Springs, as well as shopping centers if you are in the market for groceries or goodies. I would recommend this condo to anyone but it is especially nice for families- worry free traveling is ALWAYS a good thing. Thank you for such a great condo to rest our heads. We would love to come back again!

Super clean and a great location!

We were greeted by Ron, the property manager who let us in and showed us around. He couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. There was a lovely welcome basket on the dining table for us to enjoy. Ron called the day after our arrival to make sure all was well with the condo. The actual condo is well located in the gated community, being within a very short walking distance to two of the five pools and tennis courts. The unit was a perfect size for us and we had lots of room for my sister and husband who joined us for a few days over Easter. We loved the patio with the fountain and mountain view. We entertained our Easter dinner guests outside and it was perfectly cozy for the 8 of us. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to prepare wonderful meals with no problem. The beds were very comfortable and there have been some upgrades in the bathrooms and kitchen with newer appliances and fixtures. The unit was very clean which is important to me. The owner Liz was lovely to deal with and easy to reach. The grocery store was very nearby and we actually walked there a few times for small items rather than take the car. Downtown is an easy bike ride away or short drive, with lots of great restaurants and shops. fifteen minutes to the South is Palm Desert for more shopping and eating choices. We biked, hiked, played tennis, golfed and walked. There are so many ways to be active in PS. All in all we enjoyed the condo very much. The only thing I would recommend is a larger coffee table and a bit more lighting in the living areas. Otherwise a wonderful place. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks Liz and Sheldon!! Mesquite delight

We truly enjoyed our stay at Liz and Sheldon’s condo. Location is convenient to everything in Palm Springs and easy access to the rest of the Coachella Valley. Great views of the mountains and we enjoyed the patio, sun drenched all day long. Kitchen is well equipped, TV operation is well explained, beds and furniture are very comfortable. Maintenance was quick to respond to the one issue we had. We’d be happy to return here if we could.

Loved our stay at the Mesquite Retreat

We have just returned from our stay at the Mesquite Retreat and loved everything about it. Very clean and well equipped, everything we needed was provided. Communication with the owner and property manager was responsive and efficient. We especially enjoyed the patio with the sounds of the fountain and the hummingbirds buzzing about. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, lots of towels and linens supplied, with the added benefit of tennis rackets/balls and a Cornhole game which we enjoyed. We had previously stayed in the Palm Desert area but found the Mesquite Retreat to be a better value and more conveniently located. It provided a great central hub from which to enjoy all Palm Springs and area has to offer. It is also very conveniently located near the airport, but is far enough away from the flight paths that we did not notice any noise. Thanks Liz and Sheldon, we will definitely consider coming back (in fact already thinking about next year!).

Sweet Mesquite Retreat

My family really enjoyed our stay here. We cooked our meals here almost everyday as food is very expensive in Palm Springs. I loved the master suite. The King size bed was very comfortable and all the bedding was good and there was a great selection of new pillows. The second bedroom was magical for our one daughter with its four poster bed. The pull out couch in the living room was pretty much terrible for our other child. We had to buy a foamy To try and make it less uncomfortable but even that didn’t really help. We all had our own tv which was awesome. Lots of properties have pools but not all of them are heated because it is apparently very expensive to heat them. The pools And hot tubs here were warm and clean and amazing. There were so many Different pool areas you can always find one to use all by yourself. Wow. I loved the washer/dryer right outside my bedroom on the patio. So convenient. The grounds are lovely. This is one of the only truly gated communities and we felt so safe I left the patio door open at night. When we had an issue with the sink someone came to fix it right away. I would definitely recommend this property. It is truly a home away from home Everything was easy and we loved it.

Clean, comfortable unit with great patios

We were a family group and from the early check-in to check-out it was all great. The condo is in a great location, very clean, quiet, roomy and we all enjoyed the patio which is large and has both sunny and shady areas. The pools are in close proximity,warm and other residents we met were very friendly. We loved having three TV's plus Wi-Fi and a telephone that we were able to call home on at no extra cost. Just a wonderful stay all around and would recommend it to our friends and family.The owners were very timely in their communications, friendly and easy to deal with. Thanks again......we'll be back. Lovely vacation!

We had a wonderful week in this condo. The owner (Liz) was very responsive and friendly. This is a very quiet gated community. It is very close to the airport, but we never heard any air traffic. We loved the patio, and we spent much of our time outside. My kids loved the pool. They pools are very warm and never crowded. Thank you for such a nice stay.

Ideal Palm Springs Retreat!

What a wonderful place to stay in Palm Springs! Located just minutes from both downtown and the airport, yet tucked into quiet, beautifully landscaped grounds with great views in every direction, we found this condo perfect for our week in Palm Springs. Well-equipped and sparklingly clean, we quickly settled in for a stress-free stay. Ron, the agent on site, provided an excellent introduction to the property, gave us a notebook with tons of very useful information about the unit, complex, and Palm Springs itself, and was available24/7 for any questions/needs (we never needed to call!) From our first inquiry about the property to post-stay followup, Liz (the owner) was wonderfully responsive, helpful, and considerate--a joy to deal with! While there, we particularly loved dining on the patio, enjoying the views and watching the amazing hummingbirds that flitted through the garden. If you love to go for walks, this is perfectly situated. In addition, for swimmers, the closest of the pools is also only a moment's walk away. Without hesitation, I'd recommend this property to my very dearest friends. Thank you, Liz (& Sheldon) and Ron for such a great stay!

Retreat With Ease... ahhhh!

For a wonderful stay in the desert, look no further. The Mesquite Retreat, had a lovely southwest atmosphere which gave our tired travelled spirits a lift from the moment we entered. Quiet, spotless, airy, in new condition, to a high standard. Everything included one could need for daily living. The well fitted kitchen was most appreciated. The bedrooms are ideal for 2 couples as they were set apart with separate bathrooms. The Master has access to the large patio, and the guest room had it's own tiny patio. They had generous beds, comfy pillows, good mattresses, and luxurious duvet. Plus many other extras and amenities too numerous to mention. This condo is minutes from the airport and it's location gave quick access to major as well as local throughways making it convenient to get around from here by car. Arranging our stay was super easy, thanks to the owner who was patient, friendly and adept at returning email. Their agent Ron, was equally lovely and upbeat. Meeting up was easy. He had all the necessary details in order, including parking passes and making sure the air conditioning was set beforehand. He is a good source of knowledge about the local area, and happy to steer you in the right direction if desired. We had two cars, and two parking passes but only one gate card. We simply made sure the person home first, let the one without gate card in when they buzzed (from the home phone.) We were here in mid September 2014, and would definitely recommend it others.

A perfect little getaway

This is a really great place to stay! The grounds of the Mesquite are beautiful and well kept. You have your choice of multiple pools to choose from, two of which that are literally 30 seconds walking distance from your front door. The condo is welcoming, clean and has pretty much everything you need for the kitchen. The patio was one of my favorite places in the condo; it backs onto the well kept grounds with a beautiful view of the mountain and Palm trees. I loved this place and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommended.

We are a Vancouver family who, on a whim decided to try out Palm Springs, and LOVED it! We came back a couple more times, staying each time in a vrbo rental, and each time we enjoyed ourselves even more. That's when we decided to purchase a place that we would love and that, hopefully, others would love as well. We knew that the only way we could make it happen, would be to rent it out to help cover some of the expenses; to us, that means that you are not at a hotel. When staying at our Mesquite Retreat, you are at home, but suddenly living in a ground floor condo in the Palm Springs desert surrounded by an oasis of palm trees and pools - how relaxing! Our Mesquite Retreat in Palm Springs is a retreat for families, retirees, friends making memories, and seekers of sunshine. Sheldon loves to golf and play tennis in his free time. His favourite thing to do while at the condo, is relaxing at any one of the five pools. Liz is a stay at home mom, who was a CAD technician in her previous life, and now enjoys reading mystery novels in her free time. Especially reading on the patio listening to the fountain bubbling in the background. The kids are two girls coming in their teens and all that THAT brings. For all of us, the condo is all about the pool and the patio. And when we’ve had enough of each other, we have three TV’s and wifi, so we can all pretty much watch whatever we want. But we would never do that... because that would be weird...

Why they chose this property

The location is a close 3 – 5 minute drive to the airport, a five to ten minute drive to Downtown, (or an hour's walk if you enjoy walking like Liz does!) and Palm Springs offers so much for everyone. Shopping, tennis, golf, hiking, bicycling. And, oh, yeah. The Sun. Over 350 days a year of Sun!
