Good vacation spot
Enjoyed our stay. We had one issue with the check in staff. The unit doesn’t come with the WiFi that is advertised. They wanted to charge us 10 dollars per day per device for WiFi. location is great, Super nice staff. Food was good but pretty pricey. The unit was large and comfortable.
Some good, some negative things.
I would give this resort 3.5 stars.
Food was above average for all inclusive. Room was fine, we did have a water leak during the stay in the ceiling but it was quickly fixed. Pools were nice but on the small side, but you are in the middle of the desert. We were on the seventh floor and the elevator worked intermittently.
The beach adjacent to the resort is small and steep. The surf here is rough and it is dangerous for children and people not used to it. A man actually broke his neck, nearly drowned the second day we were there. Luckily there were doctors there to perform CPR but the hotel didn’t have an AED or other emergency equipment. Took at least 15 minutes for an ambulance.
There is a calmer beach place about 1/4 mile towards the marina but it is crowded bc it is public beach.
My biggest complaint is the nickel and diming the staff does. You can’t get a cup of coffee in the morning without signing for it and they double check everything. Very rigid, inflexible and off-putting. We won’t be returning bc it left a negative impression on us.
