Overview

About the property

2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms overlooking Saratoga Passage

Our house is a cozy, tranquil, getaway with a picturesque view of Saratoga passage and Mount Baker. Your blood pressure will soon drop as you sit on the deck, listen to the waves and the sea birds, while taking in the water view! We also frequently see deer in the yard. Our place is very quiet with a Northwest woodsy feel.

It is centrally located on Whidbey, providing an ideal base to explore all the island's activities and attractions. Whidbey is a big island with much to offer. Explore Deception Pass, Fort Casey, shop & dine in the quaint towns of Coupeville, Langley, visit the galleries, the farms, parks and numerous beaches all within minutes. Come back to your retreat and relax in comfort with nature. If you don't feel like getting in the car, the beach below is a five minute walk down the road. You can launch a kayak, paddleboard, or walk miles on this quiet beach. Or just stay inside, take in the view and watch premium channel TV on the 42' flat screen TV.

It has begun as a vacation rental in August 2014. We have replaced old beds with a king bed in the master and a queen bed in the second bedroom.

We hope you decide to stay at Blue Vista! We are confident that you will enjoy your time at the house and exploring Whidbey!

GREAT VIEW

  • 3 of 5

Unbeatable view, secluded and quiet. Nice location, and easy drive to Coupeville and restaurants/shopping. Home could have used a little more basic TLC to address broken blinds, burned out light bulbs, hot water that isn't hot, no light at the front entry, and slow tub drain. Slow internet, and adequately equipped kitchen. Overall, about a B- experience for quality. If you come for the view and quiet, this is a great place to stay. Bring an extra fan in summer. House gets warm quickly in the sun.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to let me know of these issues. During the summer, the house is booked back to back so it is hard for me to see these things for myself and find time to fix them. The issues you brought up, and others from the previous guest, are being addressed. Thank you for your honest review! I hope you stay again. -Robyn

Fantastic stay!!

  • 5 of 5

It was four of us including a teen and a grandmother and we were all delighted. The house was very clean, comfy and well equipped with all the details being thought out, we even had a delicious bottle of wine in the fridge for us. The view was the most amazing thing about the house, view of the water and Mt. Baker were outstanding. Robyn was a delight to work with; prompt with responses and very kind.

Loved the porch and view of the water

  • 4 of 5

A cozy house for 2 couples. The kitchen could be a little better stocked- zip lock bags, only had a little aluminum foil which ran out, not enough paper towels, serving bowls. Toilet seats slip around...need to be tightened. Bath tub doesn't drain well...standing in water.

Wonderful view!

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed staying at Robyn's place! The view and outdoor sitting areas are wonderful. The place is clean and comfortable and an easy place to stay. The one drawback is its location. It's a little hard to find and the road curves right at the spot where the house is, so cars go pretty fast by there. Although Robyn provides directions in her welcome email, there isn't a house number where you can see it from the road, unlike all the other homes in that neighborhood. But we did enjoy cooking outdoors on the BBQ and taking walks down the road with our little dog.

Beautiful place with a great view, relaxing, quiet and easy to maintain

  • 5 of 5

We had a great long weekend at the house and spent time kayaking, dining and shopping in Langley as well as lunches and dinners in Coupeville, just 10 minutes away. Love visiting Fort Casey and seeing the military installations and light house.

Picture Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Everything was wonderful. The house was everything we wanted. We spent each morning and afternoon sitting out on the deck enjoying the beautiful Puget Sound. The house had everything that we needed to ensure a wonderful stay. Robyn"s description of the house was spot on. We started missing it the minute we drove out of the driveway. If we're able to come back, we will make sure to reserve this house again. Thanks for making this portion of our vacation memorable.
