NAPILI PALMS is the best-kept secret on Maui. Our condo is just a few steps away from Napili Beach which has been described by many as being responsible for more 'smiles per square inch' than any other beach in Maui! This unique property is one of a kind. Tucked in a private garden setting, you'll be surrounded by gracious palms, orchids, hibiscus, plumeria, bananas, mangoes and papayas. You may relax and rejuvenate poolside or stroll to the beach and watch the breathtaking sunset at Napili Bay between the islands of Lanai and Molokai. Napili General Store is onsite to meet your every need for an island vacation. You may arrange all your island activities onsite at Snorkel Bob's.

To keep costs low, we do not offer car rental service. We recommend you arrange car rental prior to your arrival. If you prefer to arrange car rental once in Maui, please be aware that this leads to added expense for you – local car agencies add an average of $90 per week in taxes upon your car return. Pre-arranged car rental online is generally less expensive (taxes will be included in cost upfront) and you can use various coupons and specials.

About Markus Luke

We are a family of four - Markus, Dahlia and two girls ages 5 and 8. We live in Seattle and enjoy trips to Hawaii as often as we can. Once on Napili Beach, we were hooked! Both our girls learned to swim in the pool at Napili Palms Condo and snorkel in the Bay.

We lucked into finding Napili Palms Condo in 2008 and became repeat visitors. In fact, we love Napili so much that when the prior condo owners, Candy and Frank, offered to sell us the condo, we jumped at this opportunity! We are now excited to have the chance to share our find with you and your family. If you’ve read up on Napili Palms in VRBO before, you’ll know that this condo previously had nothing but 5 star reviews. Now that we’ve taken over, we have to start afresh with VRBO (hence no reviews yet). We look forward to continuing the excellent reputation of Napili Palms Condo.

What makes this condo unique

The setting of this condo is ideal – it is situated in a tropical garden (picture swaying palms) and as such, is markedly more private than nearby vacation rentals. The pool is in the center of the grounds – trees provide respite from Hawaiian heat but there is still plenty of sun for lounging. And the beach with all its many activities is just steps away… Additionally, it is ideal for groups of friends and families. There's an outdoor grill poolside that is open for all to use and the Ohana room is a covered area with tables and chairs - great for gatherings large and small. Complimentary coffee is served in the Ohana room every morning; continental breakfast is served Friday mornings. Finally, the condo is very conveniently located with shopping and all the amenities one would need nearby.

Napili bay is beautiful

The condo was perfect for our family of three. Really enjoyed the air conditioning after a day at the beach. Kitchen doesn’t have any counter space but we read previous reviews and expected it. The balcony was so beautiful and peaceful with all the toys and beach gear we needed. And only steps away from the most beautiful beach in Maui

Noisy shopping center location, property not as described and way overpriced.

We had to book this condo on the fly, so did not conduct our usual investigation, we had to trust the owner's description and photos of the property as accurate and fair.

This property is woefully misrepresented and seriously overpriced. This is an extremely modest condo and the owner completely fails to disclose in the property description that the condo is directly next door to a shopping center. And by next door, the entrance, egress and workspace for the 808 Surf Store are less than 10 feet away. Looking over the lanai, you see directly into the open doors of the 808 Surf Store (and they are looking right back at you). 808 Surf shop conducts all their rentals, clean-up and repairs right below the lanai starting at 7am EVERY morning with deliveries, power washing, sanding, grinding, and general banging. The employees talk at full volume, laughing and yelling to each other. Customers arrive early with lots of loud interaction with the employees. The noise is constant and goes on all day and into the evening.

Due to the heat the condo doors, windows and drapes are always open, there is no way to muffle the noise and there is no privacy. AC does not reach the bedroom, so the lanai doors are the only source of air.

Checking Google Maps, it shows the condo next to the shopping center, the parking lot for the 5 business' is on the other side. You assume that the stores customer egress is on the parking lot side, but 808 uses the patio and walkway between the condo and their back door rather than the front door to the parking lot. You can't tell from the map how much traffic and noise is generated by the 808 store through the backdoor entrance.

After renting the condo, we received a handmade map of the property from the owner which shows an 'ohana' building between the condo and the shopping center, implying a buffer. There is no building between the condo and the store, they share the same garden patio space.

When we got home we contacted the owner to discuss the lack of disclosure re: the actual location of the condo and to ask if he would work with us on some compensation as we felt we had been seriously over charged for what this rental really is. From the conversation it was very evident that the owner is fully aware that the condo is located directly next to a noisy shopping center & his requests to the 808 shop to quiet down were ignored. The owner said he would get back to us to let us know his decision but he has not responded.

10 days to be transformed!

As we arrived at Napili Palms, there was the open parking space for 25B, a good omen! We were excited, the flora & fauna was so beautiful, all the birds chirping. The condo was perfect! It had everything we could have needed & more! Every morning we awoke to birds singing. We enjoyed coffee in the Ohana Room as we met new friends. Ths lanai was perfect with the upstairs/corner location. The beach was very convenient as were the nearby restaurants that we could walk to. We felt as though we were in our own little oasis amongst all the huge resorts. It was quiet, peaceful & extremely comfortable. We couldn't imagine anything better. Thank you Markus for the maps, shopping & supply information & driving directions, all so very helpful! We truly had a lovely vacation with our family

Great value, convenient location

This is the 2nd time we stayed here and again, we really appreciated the 2 minute walk to the beach, lovely Napili Bay, the AC, and the convenient location. This is a very reasonable alternative to the massive resort complexes north & south of Napili.
