"Probably a bad time to go to Maui at least this area. We had wind every day all day and night about 30 MPH. The condo is nice and clean except we did have some small bugs in the kitchen. Manager let us in before 3 and stayed late on our last day but, forgot to tell cleaning lady. This is a great condo and easy but no beach really and super rocky, you can't really get in the water at all. We did have the West Maui Mountain's catch fire and caused us to be out of our condo for 8 hours and then when they finally opened the road the condo smelled like smoke for the last day we were there. But, that was nobody's fault. The condo was very nice and had everything except snorkel sets. We stayed 6 days and the only thing they may consider is an a/c unit in the 1st bedroom as it was really to hot to sleep. The trades didn't help because at night it was still 78. Otherwise, this is a perfect location just wish the beach was better."

  • Maui Fabulous

"We enjoyed this condo immensely as we are not fancy resort people. The unit was older but comfortable and homey and had everything we needed for our 6 day stay. The condo was spotless upon arrival and the kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots and pans and paper goods. The view from the lanai over the pool was great and the access to the fabulous beach was very close. Parking at the unit was free and plentiful. We enjoyed the Gazebo restaurant down the beach for breakfast and the SeaHouse at the other end for lunch. The owners were very professional and provided us with needed information and condo details through email. We would recommend this quiet place to couples who want a place to relax and just enjoy the beauty of Napili Bay and the surrounding area."

  • Highly Recommend!

"This is our second time staying at the Sprecks Plantation House and we will definitely be back. We have stayed in both the Plumeria and Mango units. The units are beautifully decorated and have everything you need including very comfortable beds. The kitchens are well appointed and provide all the pots/pans and utensils you need to cook in (including a gas BBQ). The whole complex is meticulously cared for..inside and out. We had the misfortune of getting a flat tire while we were here. Glen, the owner, happened to be on the property and just jumped in and changed our tire without being asked. What a great guy! A few bonuses: laundry; miscellaneous beach items for your use (umbrellas; chairs; toys; snorkelling gear); bicycles (it is a very short ride to Baby Beach through the neighbourhood or Kanaha Beach along a bike path) Some people worry about airplane noise when considering Specklesville. We are light sleepers and sleep with the doors and windows open. Yes, you hear the airplanes...but we did not find them that disruptive. The minor inconvenience of hearing the occasional airplane is far outweighed by the rest of the experience. (Note - you can cut down on the noise if you open only the south facing doors and windows)"
