About the property

Two bedroom, Two bath, with cruiser bikes and large garage, pet friendly

Cute Craftsman in the quiet River West area two blocks from the Deschutes River at First Street Rapids park. An easy 5 minute walk to downtown or take the river trail for a nice stroll or bike cruise anytime. Enjoy all that downtown has to offer: shops, galleries, restaurants or head out to to Bend's famous breweries or mountain bike trails. The Deschutes River with Drake Park, hiking and biking trails, kayaking and tubing are just a short walk away and Mt. Bachelor ski resort is only a 30 minute drive. Your stay includes the use of two cruiser bikes with helmets and locks, a perfect way to explore the area. In the winter, you'll appreciate the large garage to store your skis, fat bikes, snowshoes and to keep your car ready to go! We also provide riding and hiking maps of the area and would be happy to suggest riding trails that fit your abilities if asked. Bring your kayak and test your skills at First Street Rapids.

The Saginaw home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms so you won't need to share a bathroom-a rare find in original Bend Craftsman homes.

Other amenities include a washer/dryer, large refrigerator, TV with basic cable. The smart TV also has internet capabilities to access your Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or other subscription services-just log in. Enjoy the Charcoal BBQ and window a/c in the living room during the summer. The master bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a comfortable queen bed and access to the yard. In the winter months, the beds have down blankets with additional blankets for use if desired. There is a desk in the office area in case you need to bring your work with you. There is free high speed wireless internet available for use during your stay.

In the warm months, enjoy the outside seating area and BBQ. The organic garden might have something to harvest during your stay!

The Saginaw Home is kept immaculately clean for all our guests. Well trained dogs that are kept off the furniture during their stay are welcome.

Please check our calendar for available nights. Come be our guests and have fun in Bend!

About Pat Mullen

Bend has something for everyone! We're avid mountain bikers and skiers and love great beer as well. The hiking and biking trails, river and friendly people make Bend a truly unique place and it's perfect for adventurous people.

Why Pat Mullen chose River Terrace

I fell in love with this craftsman home back in 2012. It needed a little TLC but I knew that I would love the location. I can walk to work, downtown or go running on the river trail within minutes. There is always room to park and it is quiet in the evenings. The neighbors are wonderful. The house is kept very clean which is extremely important to me!

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location! This home is close to downtown and the river but without the parking headaches and noise of the Historic District or Galveston area.

Third great stay in Saginaw House

  • 5 of 5

We have a tradition now of spending the month of August in Bend and Saginaw House has absolutely become our first choice place! Pat has created and provided a home that meets our wants and needs so well.

The house is so easy to move into, with good closets (plenty of hangers), bureau space, comfy sofas in the good living space, equipped kitchen, laundry, office space that we find very useful, good wifi, the bonus of nice garage space, vegetable garden, grill... The nicely shaded back patio is inviting all day long and into the evening with patio lights. Saginaw House's location is so great. We can walk to many things we need and are interested in. Within walking range? So many restaurants and brew pubs, Drake Park, First Street Rapids and its trail, downtown, grocery shopping at Newport Market and Farmer's Market and access to Deschutes River activities. Getting onto to highways to travel further afield is very convenient. Visiting Bend is such a pleasure for all its varied activities and Saginaw House is in the perfect location to easily access so many of them.

The few times we've needed to contact Pat with a request, she responds quickly and positively. Simply put...we love staying in Saginaw House!

Great house in Bend

We met our friends in Bend for a long weekend. We loved the house! It was really clean and comfortable and it was so close to great hiking, dining, shopping and breweries. We would love to stay there again next fall.

Great city, great house & great time.

  • 5 of 5

First several days/nights were quite cold which did not promote outdoor activities. Enjoyed many outdoor activities from then on and was very relieved when we heard our well behaved Corgi (Cody) will be able to return with us 2018. Overall, our 12 day/night stay was excellent.

Felt like home

  • 5 of 5

We completely enjoyed our stay in this home which was perfectly situated to enjoy a walk downtown, a walk along the beautiful Deschutes or just hang out and relax. Although we didn't do much cooking there was everything you could possibly need to put together a meal, even a barbecue on the back patio. The bed was so comfy, the bath towels thick and lush and there were nice bath products and body lotion. We had no idea how much we needed this relaxing vacation until we settled in. All of this made for a perfect vacation for us. Thank you Pat
