Perfect spot to stay while in Bend! Such a cute house with all the amenities. Very clean and well stocked with everything you need. Walking distance to fun restaurants and bars. We loved our stay here!
Amazing location! Nice and clean and quaint spot in Old Bend. Perfect for a Father/Daughter trip where we each had our own space. Would DEFINITELY stay again!
My wife and I had a wonderful vacation in this little house. It’s got everything we need plus great location a 3 minute walk from downtown restaurants.
We loved our time at Wren’s Nest! The home had everything and more to make our stay comfortable and the location could not be beat!! We’d love to stay again!
The host made sure we had everything we needed and even went out of his way to look for a misplaced necklace we thought we left behind. He even made sure we had fresh dark roast coffee beans.
This place was exactly as described! The host made really good use of the space, and it was very inviting with the warm colors and homey decorations. The kitchen was great, and fully stocked and the little soaps in the bathrooms were a nice treat from a local soap store. Easy walking distance to all the places in the listing and communication with the host was outstanding. I felt very safe and comfortable, and I would absolutely stay here again without a doubt, when I come back to Bend

Thanks so much for the detailed and honest review. We try our best to have everything in place before a guest arrives. I also want to thank you for doing an extra 'chore' for us, keeping our newly planted perennials watered during our absence in hope we have a nice flower garden next summer. We very much appreciate your help!
The property was very clean and is a short walk from Drake Park, the river and numerous bars and restaurants. The owners were great to deal with and very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful, clean, well-appointed, charming "nest" with us. We had a great time in Bend: MTN biking the trails at Phil's Trailhead, hiking the Tumalo Creek Trail to the Tumalo Falls, hiking/biking the Deschutes River Trail, and enjoying multiple breweries. Our dogs had fun, too!
Quick stay to check out downtown and then drive up to Mt Bachelor. Great morning runs on the Deschutes River Trail. Lovely shops. Great places to dine - whatever your pleasure.
House was in perfect spot for our purposes. Walked everywhere.

Bend Getaway
Great location - easily walkable to most downtown destinations and the 2 bikes in garage, while sporting some character, will assist in getting just about everywhere else. The kitchen is well equipped, bedrooms are comfortable, and the back patio is lovely. Outstanding option in bend.

Thanks for the kind review. We are glad you took advantage of the location, the "character" bikes - not sporty but can get one places, and the back yard. We try to think of everything WE need and hope it satisfies the domestic interests of our guests. We love the place and hope this is evident to our visitors.
Wren’s Nest has everything you need & then some! Even the backyard is a private, comfortable oasis. Walkable to Old Bend downtown & the river. Steve was easy to communicate with & gave me all the information I needed. I will be back to visit with my family!

About the host
Hosted by Steve Wren
After searching the Pacific Northwest for the perfect place to hang our hats in retirement we found Bend offered the places and spaces for all of the outdoor and cultural activities we enjoy. Even better, all of these places are within an hours drive. The town offers our favorite beverages, excellent restaurants, and entertainment all a short walk from our historic home. The idea of walking and biking to escape the constant need of a car was high on our priority list. We are fortunate to have found the place, Bend, and the space, our Wren's Nest to enjoy for many years. We are delighted to share what we enjoy with others. Even the drive over the Cascade Range to sunny Bend is the beginning of our scenic adventure. If we are not hiking, Nordic skiing, kayaking, biking, or exploring the high desert, we are enjoying the culture and festivities Bend offers. There is always entertainment or adventure just outside, a short walk or ride from our door.
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location. We wanted to downsize and live in a comfortable home in the heart of Bend. That we found a solid, comfortable, historic property made this choice of home even more special. To be located on a quiet, neighborhood street just steps from all the town of Bend has to offer sealed the deal.
