Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, One Level Log Style

The Queen of Hearts vacation cabin is a one level, 1300 sq. ft., log sided structure that sets alone, high on a hill, on a very private, half acre wooded lot. During the spring of 2016 we logged the back yard of the property, so right from the back deck you have an un-obstructed clear view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Privacy, serenity, tranquility are just a few words that describe the setting of the Queen of Hearts. The closest neighboring cabin is more than 300 feet away, down the hill, and cannot be seen from the property. The Queen of Hearts is a place of refuge, an escape from the 'busy-ness' of life, and surrounded by the beauty of creation.

The comforts of life await you once inside the Queen of Hearts: luxury beds, jacuzzi bath in the master bedroom, relaxing and comfortable seating in the living room, white pine wall & ceiling finishes, country cabin decor, and more. If you need to connect with the world, there are two HD TV's with cable service, hi-speed internet with wi-fi router for cell phones and computers, and a wi-fi blueray player for movies and netflix access. A land line phone is provided just in case you need one.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including all dishes, pots & pans, utensils and appliances. We also have a huge assortment of spices in the cabinets for cooking. For grilling out, there is a large charcoal grill on the front deck.

Enjoy the evening air while relaxing in the screened-in covered porch that has table, chairs, and a porch swing for two. Spend some time in the hot tub on the rear deck.

Paved roads take you from Route 321, through the Bent Creek Golf Course, and up the gradual incline to the end of a Cul-de-Sac where the Queen of Hearts resides. The large, paved driveway has level parking for 3 cars. All of the attractions of the Gatlinburg area are just a short commute (and with LOW traffic) down Route 321.

We invite you and your loved ones to discover the peaceful and private setting of the Queen of Hearts vacation cabin during your visit to the Gatlinburg area.

Why David Briggs chose East

Privacy is the reason that many love the Queen of Hearts vacation cabin. With that said, the cabin is easy to get to. All paved roads through the well maintained Cobbly Nob resort, with a gradual uphill climb to your very own hilltop location. Neighboring cabins cannot be seen from the property at the Queen of Hearts. Take the driveway around the backside of the cabin to a large level parking lot. Every room of this cabin is handicap accessible, there are no stairs.

What makes this cabin unique

We have owned the Queen of Hearts cabin for 3 years. We looked at over two dozen cabins before choosing to buy this one, and the main reason we chose the Queen of Hearts was total privacy. The second thing was the beautiful view of the mountains from the backyard. The cabin is very convenient to all the needs and wants in the Gatlinburg area. It is a short, easy trip to Gatlinburg without dealing with heavy traffic, and we will tell you about the short cuts to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. Having known the Gatlinburg area for over 40 years, we have come to realize the benefits of having a cabin located right here.

Queen of Hearts

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was at the top of the mountain and at the dead end, which was perfect. It was peaceful and serene. The screened back porch was our favorite. Beautiful views and great accommodations. It was just a few miles north of Gatlinburg, and was worth the short drive to town. I would definitely stay here again.

A great view, an eclipse, the milkyway and a bear family! What's not to love!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Queen of Hearts. The view in the front is wonderful. The view in the back is breathtaking! I love the screened in porch. We viewed the eclipse from the Cherohala Skyway where the 360 degree sunset combined with the "diamond ring" of the eclipse made for a very memorable day. We brought our massage table so were able to enjoy a great massage in the screened in porch. The highlight was was returning from breakfast on Friday. We turned the second to last curve back to the cabin and startled momma bear with her 2 cubs. After she realized we were not a threat she went from standing to moving her cubs up the mountain toward the cabin. We went back to the cabin and into the porch, a few minutes later we could hear the brush being quietly moved. She came up at the end of the park area. The one cub came up and across the driveway. I was able to video their path thru the yard including the cub climbing a tree in the back. Being able to see them in the wild was a wonderful treat. A warning to those that stay. They are wild animals and if you approach a cub the mother will protect it. Don't feed them. Just enjoy watching from shelter. They won't bother you if you leave them alone.

For you star gazers the milkyway is visible at night without your telescope. There is very little light pollution. If you bring your telescope you won't be disappointed. Anyway we had a fabulous time and will return again.

David the water pressure is much better than the last visit thanks for repairing.

secluded and lovely

  • 5 of 5

My family has been renting houses on Cobbly Nob for over 10 years. We would definitely stay at Queen of Hearts again. The property is well-maintained and the views are spectacular, off both the front and back of the house. The kitchen is well stocked (pans, utensils, and spices). And we loved the décor. I highly recommend Queen of Hearts!

If privacy and beautiful views are what you are longing for this is the cabin for you.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Queen of Hearts 7/27-7/30 for our 17th Anniversary. It was the perfect quiet getaway. The pictures are true to what to expect of the cabin, porch, and hot tub, but do not even begin to capture the beauty of the view. We had mixed weather over the 4 days we were there it was upper 80-90 on the first day , rained the second, cooler and sunny the third, an perfectly warm and sunny on the fourth as we checked out. My favorite was the day it rained and we just spent the day on the screened in porch listening to the rain and reading. The porch swing was my favorite place to be the whole weekend!! I loved watching the sky an mountains change throughout the day. As others have stated the cabin was very clean, beds quite comfy, plenty of towels, paper products and even spices, foil etc. Everything you need or might forget. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but close enough to enjoy the parks.
