Overview

About the property

2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, One Level Log Style

Private and peaceful, The Queen of Hearts vacation cabin is a one level, 1300 sq. ft., log sided structure that sets alone, high on a hill, on a very private, half acre wooded lot. During the spring of 2016 we logged the back yard of the property, so right from the back deck you have an un-obstructed clear view of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Privacy, serenity, tranquility are just a few words that describe the setting of the Queen of Hearts. The closest neighboring cabin is more than 300 feet away, down the hill, and cannot be seen from the property. The Queen of Hearts is a place of refuge, an escape from the 'busy-ness' of life, and surrounded by the beauty of creation.

The comforts of life await you once inside the Queen of Hearts: luxury beds, jacuzzi bath in the master bedroom, relaxing and comfortable seating in the living room, white pine wall & ceiling finishes, country cabin decor, and more. If you need to connect with the world, there are two HD TV's with cable service, hi-speed internet with wi-fi router for cell phones and computers, and a wi-fi blueray player for movies and netflix access. A land line phone is provided just in case you need one.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including all dishes, pots & pans, utensils and appliances. We also have a huge assortment of spices in the cabinets for cooking. For grilling out, there is a large charcoal grill on the front deck.

Enjoy the evening air while relaxing in the screened-in covered porch that has table, chairs, and a porch swing for two. Spend some time in the hot tub on the rear deck.

Paved roads take you from Route 321, through the Bent Creek Golf Course, and up the gradual incline to the end of a Cul-de-Sac where the Queen of Hearts resides. The large, paved driveway has level parking for 3 cars. All of the attractions of the Gatlinburg area are just a short commute (and with LOW traffic) down Route 321.

We invite you and your loved ones to discover the peaceful and private setting of the Queen of Hearts vacation cabin during your visit to the Gatlinburg area.

Overall it was great ! Everything went to plan and loved the view !

  • 4 of 5

The view is amazing ! However the pics do not do it justice. I did not know it was at the top of a mountain based off of pics I thought it was on level ground but it is perfectly situated on top and has great parking. Very private which we loved ! We were running late and didn't make it in till after dark. The road was very narrow and scary in a small portion. Do not come in at night ! The second day leaving out I was comfortable with the road and by the end of our stay I was confidently taking them turns at a normal speed :) Felt safe knowing the security guard was just down the mountain and had his number on the fridge , also seen him every morning driving through . Gatlinburg has so much to do and the cabin isn't far from the main drag! We enjoyed the hot tub and screened in porch ! The cabin is well equipped for cooking meals and the beds were soooo comfortable ! It was decorated for Christmas which is a plus ! I rated it a 4 out of 5 because whoever the cleaning company is you made need to make changes. With that said I'm only giving constructive criticism . With these fixes it is a 5 ! The shower in the master needs a actual bath mat a quick absorbing self drying rug from dollar general would be perfect . My daughter stepped out , slipped and hit her head on the bottom lip of shower 10 mins of screaming crying but she was OK! The glasses had a milky film all over them we hand washed them before using . The grill has not been cleaned in a while my dad ended up cleaning it really well before we used it . My major disappointment was the tub , I filled it up (no soap or bubbles) when I turned on the jets a bunch of nasty stuff came out , it was foaming up on the side of the tub and sticking. Needless to say I did not get in. I let it run for 10mins, & drained. The next night I did the same and it was still yucky stuff in the jets coming out. The last thing was when we were cleaning up the cabin to leave I pulled out the vacuum and it was so full ! Overall the cabin was clean ! Just the little things that couldn't be seen without using them :) I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will stay again ! Thank you so much !!!

Owner's Response: Thank you Hunter for leaving a good thorough review, and letting us know about a few shortcomings. We will look into the cleaning method for the jacuzzi...Karen and I are able to get to the cabin about 6 times a year and we check up on everything. We have not yet seen this situation with the jacuzzi, but we can certainly incorporate additional deep cleaning. As far as the charcoal grill, it is up to our customers to clean up after their own use as this is outside the scope of our cleaning crew. I have found that some responsible people will do this, and others do not. However, I feel it is now necessary for us to put out a sign requesting those that use the grill to clean up after. Thanks again for visiting our cabin, we appreciate you! David and Karen

Queen of Hearts was the perfect getaway. Very secluded but not too far from tourist attractions. The home is clean and the owners obviously take pride in this property! Book it...you won't be sorry you did!!

Queen of Hearts

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was at the top of the mountain and at the dead end, which was perfect. It was peaceful and serene. The screened back porch was our favorite. Beautiful views and great accommodations. It was just a few miles north of Gatlinburg, and was worth the short drive to town. I would definitely stay here again.

Why David Briggs chose Gatlinburg

Privacy is the reason that many love the Queen of Hearts vacation cabin. With that said, the cabin is easy to get to. All paved roads through the well maintained Cobbly Nob resort, with a gradual uphill climb to your very own hilltop location. Neighboring cabins cannot be seen from the property at the Queen of Hearts. Take the driveway around the backside of the cabin to a large level parking lot. Every room of this cabin is handicap accessible, there are no stairs.

What makes this cabin unique

We have owned the Queen of Hearts cabin for 3 years. We looked at over two dozen cabins before choosing to buy this one, and the main reason we chose the Queen of Hearts was total privacy. The second thing was the beautiful view of the mountains from the backyard. The cabin is very convenient to all the needs and wants in the Gatlinburg area. It is a short, easy trip to Gatlinburg without dealing with heavy traffic, and we will tell you about the short cuts to Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. Having known the Gatlinburg area for over 40 years, we have come to realize the benefits of having a cabin located right here.
