We are located in the Historic and charming Ocean Park area of Santa Monica, safe and clean neighborhood, just blocks form the beach and neighborhood parks.This unique property offers a clean and comfortable, large bedroom, full kitchen and sofa area, full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub and shower, walk in closet, and a private entrance, although part of the Main house.

This clean and spacious, private 1 bedroom and 1bath, is located in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica.

Enjoy an easy 8 block nieghborhood walk to Santa Monica beaches, Main Street

This 100 year old home is one of 2 existing beach homes that were moved from Ocean Ave.

There is a visitor parking permit that allows for street parking right in front.

The Queen sized bed can sleep 2 adults, and the futon sofa opens flat and will sleep one child or very petite adult.

With 10 1/2 foot ceilings, the cottage is quiet, light and airy, very private.

Clean and comfortable with attention to details... white Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy large towels, beach towels, Keurig coffee maker, Britta filtered water, large flat screen TV with Cable, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, organic lotions and potions, bath salts and sunscreen all for your use. There are extra sheets for the futon and bed in the bedroom closet as well as brooms and mops.

Laundry facilities are just a few blocks away.

(for longer term rental, I will launder sheets and towels for the cottage)

We live in the larger part of the house, and will be here for most arrivals and always available if needed.

Otherwise, you can have the privacy you want.

I have lived right here in Santa Monica for 30 years and LOVE this area!, and am thoroughly familiar with this city as well as the Greater Los Angeles Area.

We are located in just the right distance to the beach, allowing for beautiful morning or evening walks, in cool clean air all year round. Without the heavy beach traffic and parking concerns.

We are in a very friendly and safe neighborhood, easy access also to shops, cafes, great food and entertainment.

We are also a short drive to the Santa Monica mountains which has many wonderful hikes leading to fabulous views of the coast and city.

Not to mention many of the City's other major attractions. Easy access to the local bus is just around the corner, which is 8 miles from LAX.

AMAZING LOCATION AND ACCOMMODATION

Lorna's accommodation is one of the best we have stayed in, it was like walking into your own home with comfy bed, lounge, fully equipped kitchen. But on top of this she had provided so many day to day items which are never included in standard motel/hotel accommodation which was not only convenient but saved us having to purchase them. The location to shops, Santa Monica Expo line, Big Blue Bus stops was fantastic and easy walking distance to Ocean Park, Venice Beach and Santa Monica Beach. Even though located just off Lincoln Blvd. it was very quiet and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again and thank you so much Lorna for your hospitality.

Great location, clean and quiet

Very good location, quiet area with only a 10 min walk to the beach. Very neat, clean and tidy unit. It's own entrance, privacy was not an issue. Parking right outside. Comfortable bed, good towels and a great shower. A good rental unit with a personal feel.

Gracious service and great place!

I booked Lorna's place for for my family on my the weekend of my wedding. As many people would know weddings are a little hectic. There were a few unexpected changes and Lorna graciously accommodated our needs. My family really enjoyed the space and Lorna greeted them when they checked in. Everything you could want

We stayed at Lorna's 2- room guest suite for 4 nights and it was perfect. The residence is about 8 blocks from the beach, about a 20 minute leisurely walk. There was a grocery store a 5 min. walk away.

The unit consists of a well-equipped kitchen with an eating bar and a couch sitting area. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen-sized bed and a desk and a tv. The bed had a nice variety of pillows which were much appreciated since I prefer a specific softness. The bathroom is updated, but the bath is the original claw foot tub. This does require some agility to get in, but it wasn't a problem for us young 60 year olds. The best part of the unit, is the front porch which has a table and two chairs. We had breakfast there every morning and loved it. The house is just around the corner from Lincoln Blvd. which is a busy street but the house is quiet and our breakfasts were pleasant despite some traffic noise from Lincoln.

Lorna supplied everything we might need from coffee and snacks to plenty of towels, even beach towels. She also had a water filter and three types of coffee makers. There were many restaurants in the area. We enjoyed Local Kitchen which was a 20 minute walk west and absolutely delicious. The parking on the street was easy and always available. Lorna provides a parking pass, just watch for the street cleaning times which are conspicuously posted.

The house is located close to highway 10 which leads to all the sites in LA and environs.

you should know we are in a severe drought in Southern California, and ask everyone to please help conserve water by taking not longer than 5 minute showers, and never leaving any water running.
We expect all tenants to be considerate and respectful of the property, with it's use and care, and with noise levels . We are good neighbors and want to keep it that way. We also expect all laws to be followed while on this property.
There is a strict, NO SMOKING policy,
and NO PETS!
There is a doormat just inside the door, for outside shoes, which are preferably, not to be worn in the apartment.
NO SMOKING allowed anywhere on or near the property. (If you are a smoker, this is not for you)

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
