We are located in the Historic and charming Ocean Park area of Santa Monica, safe and clean neighborhood, just blocks form the beach and neighborhood parks.This unique property offers a clean and comfortable, large bedroom, full kitchen and sofa area, full bathroom with an antique claw foot tub and shower, walk in closet, and a private entrance, although part of the Main house.

This clean and spacious, private 1 bedroom and 1bath, is located in the Ocean Park area of Santa Monica.

Enjoy an easy 8 block nieghborhood walk to Santa Monica beaches, Main Street

This 100 year old home is one of 2 existing beach homes that were moved from Ocean Ave.

There is a visitor parking permit that allows for street parking right in front.

The Queen sized bed can sleep 2 adults, and the futon sofa opens flat and will sleep one child or very petite adult.

With 10 1/2 foot ceilings, the cottage is quiet, light and airy, very private.

Clean and comfortable with attention to details... white Egyptian cotton sheets, fluffy large towels, beach towels, Keurig coffee maker, Britta filtered water, large flat screen TV with Cable, wi-fi, bluetooth speaker, organic lotions and potions, bath salts and sunscreen all for your use. There are extra sheets for the futon and bed in the bedroom closet as well as brooms and mops.

Laundry facilities are just a few blocks away.

(for longer term rental, I will launder sheets and towels for the cottage)

We live in the larger part of the house, and will be here for most arrivals and always available if needed.

Otherwise, you can have the privacy you want.

I have lived right here in Santa Monica for 30 years and LOVE this area!, and am thoroughly familiar with this city as well as the Greater Los Angeles Area.

We are located in just the right distance to the beach, allowing for beautiful morning or evening walks, in cool clean air all year round. Without the heavy beach traffic and parking concerns.

We are in a very friendly and safe neighborhood, easy access also to shops, cafes, great food and entertainment.

We are also a short drive to the Santa Monica mountains which has many wonderful hikes leading to fabulous views of the coast and city.

Not to mention many of the City's other major attractions. Easy access to the local bus is just around the corner, which is 8 miles from LAX.

Great location...a cozy and comfortable stay

Love this property! Recently stayed in October and it was simply the perfect location to walk everywhere and enjoy the best of Santa Monica.

Location A+

Street parking with a guest permit pass was fantastic. So many places you need to fight for parking and it was never an issue to pull up in front of the house with a spot. Once there we didn't need the car to reach anything. You can easily walk to Main Street for a great selection of restaurants and even the Sunday farmers market. Just a few blocks further and you are at the beach with a nice walk to the Pier and the heart of SM. If you enjoy urban walking you will love this location for all it has to offer close by.

Accommodations A+

A lovely private guest house, which is attached to the main house but very private. Very nicely appointed and one of the most comfortable beds with good quality bedding I've experienced at a VRBO property...thank you for a great nights sleep every night. While a cozy space, the high ceilings make the rooms much more spacious. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals and the complimentary coffee and light snacks that Lorna provided were a very nice touch. The bathroom is stocked with all sorts of lotions, soaps, other supplies, which is so nice in the event you forgot or ran out of something. Very nice bath towels. Very thoughtful touches all around.

Service A+

Lorna's pre-arrival communication was excellent as well as her quick responses to any of our texts on basic questions. Excellent service!

My only issue....our stay wasn't long enough : ) Look forward to staying at this property again, highly recommend!

Another Great Stay

This was our third stay at this well-located, cozy unit and we had a wonderful time, again. The unit is clean, comfortable for two, well maintained and generously stocked. The owner, Lorna, besides being a super nice person, was very responsive and helpful. The location is ideal - there's so much to see and do nearby: restaurants (Satdha and Komodo are regular stops for us, also the Urth Cafe and Rose Cafe and the independent coffee spots), groceries, pharmacies, shops and services along Lincoln Blvd or Main Street; the beach with its miles of walking path, and downtown Santa Monica and Venice both within easy reach. Having permitted street parking was definitely a plus, as it enabled us to walk and/or take the Metro (about a 25 minute walk) or ride share vs. driving and dealing with LA's endless traffic. Can't wait to return, and we are, in fact, already planning our next trip!

guest suite in santa monica

We really enjoyed our stay in Lorna's guest suite. It was very comfortable and cozy. All the amenities you could ever want or expect were there. I'm sure if you need anything else, she will provide it if she can (like an umbrella)! It's about a 3/4 mile walk to the beach, but it's a nice walk in a good neighborhood, so it was fine for us! There is an air conditioner in the bedroom (which we didn't need) and a heater (which we did) so again it was fine for us. She also had some good suggestions about places to eat in the area. We really liked the vegan thai restaurant and we're not vegans! She's very easy to talk to and communication was fast and easy.

Best location, beautiful place to stay

Wonderful location just a few blocks from the beach, easy parking. The house was wonderfully stocked with coffee, beach toys and even a yoga mat! There is a cute children's park across the street. Great food options nearby including Sadtha Thai, Sweet Rose ice cream, Dogtown coffee and Urth cafe. The property owners were kind and easy to get in touch with for any questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

There is a doormat just inside the door, for outside shoes, which are preferably, not to be worn in the apartment.
