Good location and great Patio

  • 4 of 5

This house was perfect for our family trip to Seattle. The only negative was it was unusually hot in Seattle the weekend we were there and the house does not have any air conditioning. All bedrooms are upstairs and it was very warm. We tended to congregate on the patio which had a very nice view of the sound and Seattle skyline as well as a nice breeze.

Nice house, excellent views, great location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a large family group that spent a few days at this beautiful house as a base for exploring the Seattle area. We loved the large porch for hanging out together, and enjoying the views of Seattle and the surrounding areas. The kitchen was large and well-equipped. The upstairs family room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the sunset. The location of the house was excellent in a nice neighborhood, with easy on street parking, and close to transportation like a free shuttle and the water taxi to Seattle (within walking distance). There was also a nice, cozy backyard area, but we didn't a chance to use it. We really enjoyed our stay.

Charming home made for a very nice stay!

  • 4 of 5

Very nice spot to stay located in a great neighborhood. We had 6 in our party and stayed 3 nights. We had plenty of space to spread out and the porch and kitchen were fantastic! It was so nice that we ended up eating most of our meals on the porch at the house. Getting around was very easy and anything you needed was within minutes. Groceries, restaurants, and the ferry were all minutes from the house. Even the drive to the city took less than 20 minutes. The views from the sitting room and porch are great especially in the evening. The only recommendation I'd make is to, if possible, put a nice pull out couch in the sitting room. We made the bunks work but they're not ideal for us in our 60's. There is a couple who live on site that are very friendly and helpful answering any questions we had.

Spacious family home, beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed in this home in June 2017 with my husband, two children, and in-laws. The house was very spacious with a large eat-in kitchen, updated appliances, two living rooms (one downstairs, one upstairs), three bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. The views were beautiful of Elliott Bay and Seattle, especially from the upstairs. I loved staying in an old home with lots of charm. The property manager, Kathryn, lives below the house in an in-law suite and greeted us on our arrival. Don't worry...she won't be in your way. The house is located right off a main thoroughfare that easily gets you all around West Seattle and into downtown Seattle. We easily saw all the sights via rental car or water taxi. I'd highly recommend this house over other houses in the area if you're looking for more elbow room, especially if you're traveling with family or multiple generations. Many houses in Alki, especially those on the beach, are shoeboxes compared to this house. Ample street parking. Shared laundry in the basement, detergent provided.

Great location, Charming vintage home!

  • 5 of 5

We used this home as a "base camp" for our many outings and hikes. It is ideally located near but not in downtown Seattle on a high point. The views were spectacular! We especially loved the upper living room which has a sort of half turret design with 180 degree views of downtown, Elliott Bay and the mountains in Olympic National Park. We'd sit there and watch the ferry boats, sip on coffee and read in the mornings. The nighttime views were wonderful as well. The house has comfortable beds, heated bathroom floors, and a well equipped kitchen and laundry. We would definitely book this awesome home again. Thanks Nick and Sharon! jb
