Spacious family home, beautiful views

  • 5 of 5

I recently stayed in this home in June 2017 with my husband, two children, and in-laws. The house was very spacious with a large eat-in kitchen, updated appliances, two living rooms (one downstairs, one upstairs), three bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms. The views were beautiful of Elliott Bay and Seattle, especially from the upstairs. I loved staying in an old home with lots of charm. The property manager, Kathryn, lives below the house in an in-law suite and greeted us on our arrival. Don't worry...she won't be in your way. The house is located right off a main thoroughfare that easily gets you all around West Seattle and into downtown Seattle. We easily saw all the sights via rental car or water taxi. I'd highly recommend this house over other houses in the area if you're looking for more elbow room, especially if you're traveling with family or multiple generations. Many houses in Alki, especially those on the beach, are shoeboxes compared to this house. Ample street parking. Shared laundry in the basement, detergent provided.

Great location, Charming vintage home!

  • 5 of 5

We used this home as a "base camp" for our many outings and hikes. It is ideally located near but not in downtown Seattle on a high point. The views were spectacular! We especially loved the upper living room which has a sort of half turret design with 180 degree views of downtown, Elliott Bay and the mountains in Olympic National Park. We'd sit there and watch the ferry boats, sip on coffee and read in the mornings. The nighttime views were wonderful as well. The house has comfortable beds, heated bathroom floors, and a well equipped kitchen and laundry. We would definitely book this awesome home again. Thanks Nick and Sharon! jb

Wedding Respite

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely home for 6 nights to attend our nephew's wedding and it was perfect! Plenty of room (2 family rooms with TV's, one upstairs and the other downstairs) for all and spaces for private conversations either on the back deck or the darling front porch! We hosted the day after wedding brunch for families of both bride and groom and it accommodated everyone beautifully! I would highly recommend this property - the location to Alki Beach is fantastic, too! Can't wait to return soon!

Beautiful views and nice neighbor hood.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there a week ago with our young children and their grandparents. We have never been to Seattle, and after this stay we definitely want to come back. The neighborhood was friendly and quite. The views from all levels of the house were AMAZING. It was also easy to get to all the places we wanted to see.

Wonderful home for our family

  • 5 of 5

We needed a place for our family with two young children to call home in Seattle for two weeks. We had a wonderful stay. The house retains its vintage charm, while being tastefully updated with modern amenities. The location worked perfectly for us. Parking was easy and the local bus service made it easy enough to get downtown without too much trouble. The walk to the west Seattle water taxi terminal is also very easy (at least downhill) even with a five and seven year old. The views are truly spectacular in every direction. The photos don't really do it justice -- every window offers a view of the Sound, the Seattle skyline or the Olympics. Really a unique spot. It is an old house, so if you've got a problem with hardwood floors creaking when you walk or windows that rattle a bit in the wind, maybe look somewhere else, but it was perfect for us.

Great

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely couple of days at this terrific house in Seattle. Everything we needed was there and it was a great base to arrive to after a long flight from the UK. Its a 15 minute drive into town and nearby there are a number of good restaurants on and just off California Ave SW .

The view of the city skyline is super, (especially at night) - the upstairs lounge is a relaxing place to have a coffee and a read and enjoy the view.

Many thanks
