Fully Furnished 3 bedroom 3 bathroom private home with a heated pool. It has southern exposure that allows for plenty of sunshine on your private lanai. It is minutes away from the Marriott's public beach access. It is located near restaurants, bars, shopping, and entertainment. Newer furnishings through out the house will provide you with a luxurious stay. It is well maintained and will be looking like new when you arrive.
Nice house with dated furniture. Very clean with utensils, linens, washer/dryer and beach chairs. We left a beach umbrella there for your future use too. The pool is a luxury and the short walk to the huge public beach is a treat as parking nearby is virtually nonexistent. Right off Collins Ave, the main street that has all the essentials. You also pick up 2 keys and the garage opener and cleaning supplies are already there. All in all, a wonderful 1 week stay made very easy by the renters at a fair price.
This home's location makes it a winner -- just a short two block-walk to public beach access. It's in a quiet neighborhood.
Thanks to the beautiful pool, shaded patio area, and large home layout, the livin' was easy. We liked the large countertop in the dining room with its modem/router and plenty of space for recharging our electronics. There were more than enough towels and linens. Also, two bathrooms have excellent walk-in showers that seem to have been upgraded since the home was built; they have beautiful tile and luxuriant oversized showerheads.
Ellen from the rental agency was helpful and professional. The entire rental process was really smooth, and we've rented from many places over the years, so we have lots of experience for comparison.
The kitchen worked well for us. Appliances were fine. We appreciated the icemaker/water dispenser in the fridge.
There were some drawbacks. The original builder/homeowner took some shortcuts on design. For instance, the lanai screen-room over the pool has a flat roof, which allows piles of leaves to accumulate on top; and the rain gutters are clogged and angled wrong, which creates an unwanted "waterfall" on the patio during a hard rain.
Some wiring of the home's lighting was downright weird: a single remote-control unit operates the ceiling light fixtures in both the master bedroom and the living room, and it's quite tricky to turn on or off the fixture you want.
Speaking of light fixtures: there were only two little area lamps in the entire house (they're in the master bedroom). Lighting provided by the overhead fixtures is overly harsh. This makes it difficult to read or relax after dark.
Some light fixtures didn't work, such as the one over the kitchen sink; maybe it's as simple as a burned-out bulb. Other electrical switches didn't seem to operate anything; labels over these switches would be useful.
In the guest bathroom just off the patio, the door screen is torn and the louvered glass is moldy.
We would stay here again due to the many positives about this house. However, it'd be nice if the details I've noted were taken care of.
What a great place to stay with the family. The boys loved having there own bedroom which was roomy and had plenty of space for their toys. The closest ended being a great playhouse!
Pool was fantastic and well maintained and the house was spacious and plenty of room to spread out! Walk to the beach was not long at all with no complaints from my four year!! If you have never been to Marco you will be blown away by the beach the sand is so prestine and there is miles of beach so you don't feel crowded. Definitely would like to rent again next year!
Full beach services available at local Resorts, Boat Rentals, charter fishing, shelling/dolphin watching, day trips to Key West (seasonal), all can be arranged through local Marinas. Movie theatre serves food, wine & beer, Live entertainment in several area restaurants.
