Wonderful stay, the house and it’s setting couldn’t be beat. Very comfortable with beautiful scenery. Communication with owner was great and very helpful.
Lovely riverside property with wildflowers, butterflies, and birds. We enjoyed relaxing away from hustle and bustle of Hood River. The host was prompt in responding to questions, and we had everything we needed.
Very isolated and very picturesque. We saw no human beings, but saw a family of turkeys and family of deer go by our front windows. The host was very kind and helpful. Everything was perfect!
It was a beautiful peaceful setting. Just what my family needed. Very comfortable. We saw lots of wildlife daily! It was close to everything we wanted to see and do while visiting.
Hideaway in the old growth forest. Bubbling brook (Little White Salmon River right out the front door. Ice cold for after-hike feet soaking. Coolest spot in the heat wave too! I can’t say enough good things about the home and host.
Stayed here with our family. We had a great time. The home was clean, quiet and peaceful with the small river just behind it. Beds were comfy and had a lot to offer.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. The property is very quiet, but not too remote. We enjoyed the river in the backyard, and all the activities the gorge has to offer. We had deer and turkey visiting us during our stay! Brent is a great host and dealt with an issue we had very quickly. This is a special place and we appreciate Brent sharing it with us!
The cabin was very comfortable, and the surrounding property was beautiful! The temperature was in the high 80s-low 90s, but the AC kept the cabin very comfortable. Everything was very clean. Brent was very easy to reach and responded quickly to any messages. Be sure to take a walk to the campground down the road to see the HUGE 800-900 year old cyprus trees!
Location was amazing. A great cabin overlooking White Salmon River. Comfortable accommodations and spacious. Deer in the front yard most mornings and access to the river.
A nice remote spot to spend quality time with friends! Good communal spaces, comfortable beds and most importantly - good AC!
Brent was a great host, super communicative and helpful with recommendations. We’d definitely visit again!
Beautiful private location. The calming view of the stream was amazing. We got to observe a family of deer outside the property during breakfast. Host was easy to contact. Star link internet was great.
Within easy driving distance of Hood River or Portland, this was a quiet getaway for a weekend to relax and refocus the mind. The house is very well-appointed, with a coffee maker that was welcome in the chilly mornings and the creek going by for the warmer afternoons (living room gets warm, so outside walk after lunch is highly recommended). I think I heard the rumble of an airplane going by, but other than that, there were only nature sounds!
After a bit of trouble with opening the door, we were greeted with an incredible view of the Little White Salmon River. The kitchen was well stocked, living room very comfortable, beds were also comfortable. The peace and quiet were so wonderful and rest
My wife and I stayed here while visiting family on the area. It was such a relaxing spot to come home to at the end of a long day out. Sitting by the Little White Salmon river right in the backyard is incredibly relaxing. Also an easy ~25 minute drive into Hood River.
We had a wonderful time during our stay, celebrating our wedding anniversary. The private natural setting, the sound of the river, and the chance to unplug and relax made this the ideal spot for our get-a-way. Brent was a very thoughtful and responsive host, and the home is beautiful. Looking forward to next time!
Enjoyed our stay very much, relaxed and close to nature
Given very clear direction by owner who also responded promptly with all queries. Home has beautiful picture windows to enjoy view of the river and surrounding woods. We're out during day to visit the Columbia River scenery and the long summer days made our evening back at house very enjoyable as well.
I stayed with a friend for 3 nights in April. We saw elk, wood ducks, and other brightly colored varieties of ducks. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and kitchen was well-stocked. We enjoyed our time so much that we canceled a planned outing in order to enjoy the property more. Though the weather was lovely during our stay, it would have been just as enjoyable in the rain or cold because the big picture windows are perfectly situated. And to top it off, the host is congenial and communicative (though not overly so). Very pleased with our stay!
