Architecturally designed ‘This Century Modern’ home located in central Palm Springs within the master planned/gated Golf community of Escena. Designed by award winning architect Anthony Poon, the home includes a number premium features including floor to ceiling sliding walls of glass, Bosch stainless appliances, Ceasarstone counters, custom Italian cabinetry in baths and kitchen, a clean/modern pool/spa and Mid Century Modern outdoor fire feature and comfortable/relaxing patio furniture including seating area, 2 loungers & outdoor dining for 6.

The homes also features ‘green’ design and include solar electrical generation; low-e windows and doors; energy star rated appliances; dual zone HVAC systems with high seer compressors; tank less hot water heaters; keeping the overall utilities well below average for Palm Springs.

Interiors were created by the designers at Well-Lived Home out of LA to have a welcoming and modern feel by blending vintage Mid Century Modern furniture with current modern styles.
The master suite features a king size bed with ensuite bath featuring double vanities, water closet, free standing soaking tub, and walk-in shower with dual shower heads. The master bedroom has direct access to the pool spa area.

The split guest bedrooms both have queen sized beds and share the light/airy hall bath featuring large walk in shower.

Special attention was paid to the beds and bedding to ensure a resort feel and great night sleep. Adding to the comfort, each bedroom has ample closet space, flat screen smart TVs, ceiling fans, and plenty of natural light.

To make your stay effortless, there are new Kenmore front load washer and dryer.

The clean lined modern kitchen is open to the main living/dining areas. Featuring gas cook-top, wall oven, tons of cabinetry and an abundance of counters, the cook in the family will love this home. 4 swivel lucite bar stools for family and friends to congregate in/around the kitchen as well.

For the tech savvy individual, the home features Smart TVS in each bedroom and a smart home Control 4 system allowing ease of use of watching your favorite tv shows/movies in addition to controlling your home audio and HVAC systems.

In 2017, the rear yard was professionally landscaped to include 3 large palms around the pool and all new landscape lighting. A true rear yard oasis in the desert!

Walk to the Escena Lounge & Grill & the #6 public golf course (designed by Jack Nicklaus ) in California as rated.

Everyday shopping is a short bike ride or drive away. Four cruiser bikes are parked in the garage for your daily use. The CV link biking and walking path is at the entrance of the neighborhood and gives you miles and miles of trails throughout the desert!

Wonderful desert stay

John was a terrific host, everything was perfect when we arrived for our 9 week stay. The house was exactly as advertised with a well equipped kitchen. John was very responsive when we had questions, but we really didn’t have any house issues.

Home from Home!

This is one of the best properties I have ever stayed at in Palm Springs. The house is much larger than the pictures depict. The service from the owners was top notch. They were easily accessible and had instructions for everything, including the bicycles hanging in the garage! The neighborhood is also really nice, very quiet, and was perfect for our trip. Could not recommend this home enough!

Incredible home, exceptional host

As others have said, coming into John's home is an amazing experience, champagne was out, all the lights were on, it felt very homey. The house itself is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and super clean. Location is wonderful, close to everything but just far enough away from the crowds to feel like your own private little resort. John is a fantastic and responsive host. Definitely recommended.

Wonderful Experience At this Modern Home with All the Necessities ... and a Pool too!

We rented this home to work for a month in Palm Springs to see if we might someday like to live there full time. What a wonderful experience we had! On arrival, John Weber, the owner, had set out a display of flowers, champagne, chocolates and a basket of toiletries that we used over our entire visit. The firepit was lit, the pool lights were on casting a nice glow and the spa was heated and waiting for us. What a wonderful welcome! The home was clean and the appliances were all new and in great condition. Though working in Dallas John was quick to respond whenever we had a question about the house. In the month we lived there we loved being able to jump in the spa in the middle of our workday to relax for a moment. We were amazed that everyvtime we needed something for cooking or entertaining we found it in the house somewhere. One really nice perk were the bicycles that were left for our use. We really enjoyed biking in the neighborhood and beyond. All in all we had a great experience. We definitely recommend this home to anyone!

We stayed at John’s lovely home for a couple of months while our new home in Palm Springs was being finished. Consummate host. Terrific place. Great location. Exactly as described and pictured. Five stars all the way around.

Hummingbird Haven

We stayed in this modern stylish house for about 6 weeks. Everything was easy. Everything was close. Everything was NEW. Management was attentive to our needs which were really very few because we had everything there. Our mornings were perfect -- breakfast and a swim looking west to the mountains. Each morning and evening had us engaged with at least a half dozen hummingbirds as they fed and fluttered about the yard. Night time swims were a delight with great lighting on the three Palms around the pool. Even though we had 121º temps a few times, indoors was perfectly cool. The house is spacious and light. The kitchen has everything your might need but so many nearby restaurants deliver to your door as well. There is a dog run a half block away with great views of the mountains too. We had no dog so we just ran. Hope to get back soon.

Perfect!

This was the second year we rented this house - we loved it so much we had to go back. It is the perfect mix of mid-century vibe and new architecture. Every convenience you could dream of, including everything you’d need to entertain guests or have a dinner party. The Escena restaurant is a short walk away, and great for a sunset cocktail. John was a perfect host, any questions were addressed immediately. Great choice for a week or months at a time!

Fabulous Palm Springs vacation home

We just spent several months enjoying John's beautiful home in Escena. The house has a wide open floor plan, high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows which makes the place feel airy and full of light. It is beautifully decorated, with artful details that make it unique. John was a perfect host, and could not have been more accommodating. Everything you need for comfortable living is included, from kitchenware to linens and even bicycles to ride around the lovely neighborhood..The yard, with a private pool and spa, are inviting on hot days. This is the perfect place for a relaxing Palm Springs experience.

Fantastic property!

We spent two weeks in this beautiful home in August 2015. The home was just as it appears in the pictures - no surprises! Very clean! All the appliances, furniture, beds, and decor seemed very new and high end. Very comfortable! The area is very quiet and we really appreciated the safe feeling of being in a gated community. Pool area is lovely. Nice shade in the morning to sit outside and watch the hummingbirds at the feeders! Sunny in the afternoon but there are two good sized umbrellas for shade as needed. Centrally located in Palm Springs so it was just a short drive to all the major attractions, restaurants, and shopping. Bikes were nice to have but we didn't use them much since it was so hot during our stay. We felt very at home at this property. In case you have kids who bring their favorite movies, there is no DVD player so we bought an inexpensive one for the length of our stay. Would definitely recommend this property.

Love, Love, LOVE!

I searched through dozens of houses before coming across this property. This is not your typical rental. It is the owners' personal vacation home as well, and it shows in the attention to detail and design. The house is beautifully yet comfortably furnished, with a very open living room that looks out to the gorgeous yard and pool area. It is light, airy and chic. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is an outstanding new grill outside. The pool is fantastic (if you go during the winter, pay to have the pool heated. It is so wonderful!). The pool area gets lots of sun and has a great view of the mountains. The bedrooms are, like the rest of the house, chic yet comfortable. The owner, John, is super-nice and responds immediately to questions and sets you up with instructional videos for TV, Roku, Pool/Hot tub and fire pit. So helpful! We have stayed in many homes in Palm Springs over the years and this is by far our favourite for sure. It is very well situated so close to everything. The owner is so professional to deal with and very sweet always leaving us treats to get us started. Love, love, love!!
