Golf, tennis, swimming facilities are just a few minutes away.
You will find the house completely furnished and equipped with everything you need for a great vacation in Borrego Springs.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable and convenient. No complaints at all. Our hostess was very nice, friendly and accommodating. She took the time to check with us a couple of days after our arrival to make sure everything was OK. She said not to hesitate to ask for any further assistance if needed. We did not have to take her up on that offer as everything was perfect. We had a great time exploring the desert and seeing the bloom. We would love to come back here next spring.
The hosts made us feel like good friends and we couldn't have asked for a nicer more comfortable place to stay while exploring the surrounding desert in bloom. Thank you for adding to our enjoyment of Borrego Springs.
This lovely casita is well cared for and very clean. The bed is comfortable and the location could not be better. It is close to downtown (about a 5 min car ride or 10 minute bike ride) and the view of the mountains from the patio is wonderful. The casita is on a side street and very few vehicles pass by. Rosario, the owner, lives right behind the casita and is always helpful with any questions and quick to bring any items that you might need in the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious.
Our visit was in March when the daily temperature variations were very comfortable. We used the AC on only about two occasions and only for a few hours each time. We were able to leave the windows open at night except on one or two occasions when it got a little chilly. Our first night we were surprised to hear a nearby rooster crowing. We think this may have been a confused rooster or still in training because he didn't follow the crack of dawn rule but would crow periodically throughout the day and night. Regardless, he provided us with more amusement than interrupted sleep. In general Rosario's place (Rosario is a woman. In Spanish Rosario can refer to either a man or a woman.) was small, clean, and well-appointed (with the exception of lack of drawer space for our clothing)--perhaps best characterized as charming. The patio provided a delightful place for breakfast. Bugs were at a minimum--virtually nonexistent. Parking was very convenient. The unit is located in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood close to the Circle. Rosario and her husband live in the house behind the unit and were very helpful and hospitable but also respectful of our privacy. The unit has two TV's--a small one in the bedroom and a larger flat screen in the living/dining area. It also has Wi-Fi access. The firmness of the bed can best be described as medium firm. For us, an older couple with back issues, this was not adequate. Fortunately we were prepared for this eventuality and brought two backboards with us which we inserted after the first night. After that our comfort was notably improved. We left the backboards with Rosario for anyone who might request them. The shower is walk-in behind sliding glass doors. There is no seat in the shower and no handrails for anyone who might need them. However, again we brought a shower chair with us for my wife's comfort and also left this item with Rosario when requested by other guests. There are no steps to get in and out of the unit--something which may be important to the mobility challenged. There's a beautiful, young palo verde tree outside the bedroom window that was in bloom when we were there. It added a lot of charm to the place and helped to filter the afternoon sunlight. The area around the unit was planted with desert plants--somewhat minimalist--not overdone. We liked the simplistic touches this provided. There was some nice looking & feeling astro-turf outside the unit to save water--we get it. Good place to stay
A perfect home base for our week of hiking and exploring Anza-Borrego State Park. This immaculate and very welcoming one bedroom apartment exceeded our expectations. My husband and I appreciated how quiet, peaceful and private it was but yet so near the town of Borrego Springs. We did not cook but everything you would need is in the lovely modern kitchen. You will have no problem sleeping in the the super comfy king size bed and there is a spacious walk in closet , nice to store suitcases out of the way. The bathroom with the beautiful glass shower and nice fluffy towels greeted us after long day hiking. What a plus it was to have the convenience of a washer and dryer. The patio was the perfect place to end the day watching the bunnies and enjoying the southwest architecture and pleasing landscape. It was nice to meet and talk with Rosarido, she is super easy to work with. It felt like home and we look forward to another visit here!
Make this immaculate, well appointed and welcoming casita the base for your Borrego Springs experience. We were delighted by the stainless steel appliances in the well designed kitchen, the glass shower in the spacious bath plus the convenience of a washer/dryer and dishwasher. Basic supplies were thoughtfully provided in the kitchen and bath. We remarked to each other that we could live here. Luxurious linens and an extremely comfortable king bed provided a relaxing retreat after a day of desert hiking.
Well located on a quiet street near both the town center and Anza Borrego state park, this casita exceeds expectations. Be sure to do The Slot and the Palm Oasis in the park. We Enjoyed the Ricardo Brecado metal sculptures at sunset. Side trips to the wineries in Julian and the wildlife refuge at Salton Sea were a contrast to the desert. We recommend arriving with groceries as there is limited shopping in town.
