Why Lauren Roper chose Edneyville
This property has been traveled and enjoyed by many dating back to the 1950's do to the Mountain Ranges and the grassy meadows.
What makes this House unique
This peaceful land is so beautiful. A wonderful way to get away but close enough to lots of attractions. My happy place!

Sunsets and Solitude
I had high expectations from the pictures of this property, and being there in person greatly exceeded them. I would have been happy enough just to have access to this lovely mountaintop meadow and panoramic view. I never wanted to leave the back deck. We were out to dinner with friends in Asheville one night and found ourselves racing home so we wouldn't miss the sunset. But this lovely house comes attached too. It was very comfortable, updated, well-designed, and clean. We cooked, made S'mores in the fire pit, played games, and caught a movie on cable tv. The property is locked by a fence about a half mile away. One needs to get out of the car to open it, but being city-dwellers we looked forward to that as part of our adventure. We never saw another soul at the house, except deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, and hawks. Getting to the nearest major store is a 25 minute minimum trek. One wouldn't need 4WD to use this property, but don't bring a delicate car. Again, we thought all that added to the charm of the place. Owners were very responsive and willing. Internet is often slow. Don't expect to stream movies. Look out the back deck instead. I often resorted to using my phone as a hotspot as the cell service was consistent. Nearby hiking was great. We did both the Bearwallow Mt. and Trombatore trails. Wild blueberries and blackberries looked like they needed another couple of weeks before eating. Oh, and I really want to note the quiet. The stillness is rare and wonderful. If you're looking for a place to rest, hike, hang a hammock, read, write, enjoy the company you bring, or enjoy a nightly 45 minute sunset show, this is the place.
We loved everything about the cabin! The mountain views were incredible from every window and the porch was truly heavenly! The beds were very comfortable and the home was well equipped for a relaxing visit. The cabin's location was fantastic, close to fly fishing on the Davidson River, hiking in the Pisgah, and great food and shopping in historic Hendersonville. Lauren was very responsive and ensured our stay was great. We also had good cell coverage. We look forward to returning very soon. CS
Amazing views and beautiful place!
The place was beautiful, clean, and quiet. It is a bit remote but we liked being away from town. It was only 20 minutes into town to great restaurants and shops. We would highly recommend and hope to return soon.
Beautiful view and very secluded.
Ms. Roper was very responsive and helpful. GPS does not work for the last several miles of the curvy mountain road, so follow the directions, best not to arrive after dark as I did!
The cabin is as depicted and comfortable with a great view. You are many miles from town so pack in the food or plan to eat out before returning to the cabin. Kitchen appointed well with basics but no spices/cooking staples short of salt/pepper, and my recent contribution, olive oil.
Both Hendersonville and Asheville offer plenty of dining and shopping opportunities. Gorgeous area.
Growing up rural the gate was no big deal but again arrive in daylight. No washer/dryer in cabin, pack accordingly. WiFi present, got spotty in evenings and is rather slow, satellite. Fine to check Mail or look up directions. Overall we enjoyed the stay.
Beautiful property well maintained. The view is incredible. Peaceful, romantic. Just a lovely getaway.
Photos do not do justice
This actually was a last minute getaway for Thanksgivng. Upon arrival at the cabin, we were so very surprised at how beautiful everything was! The views are fantastic. Great place for two couples or a small family to getaway and relax, try some hiking, but mainly just enjoy the property. We hope to be back some day! PS, the roadway in, although being a dirt road, really posed no problem and we were in a Ford Taurus.
The peaceful serenity of the area offers lots of hiking trails. The Bearwallow Mountain Hike. Within a 30 - 60 mile radius affords a wide arrange of hikes, mountain biking or cycling.
