About Rebecca

We started coming to Asheville in 2002 and fell in love with the area. We bought our 1st log cabin in 2004, and then we fell in love with the vacation rental business too! I sold my business last year. Now I devote my time to helping people from all over the country create a once in a lifetime vacation experience. We now have 5 amazing log cabins to offer. All of our cabins can also be viewed at our web site below. There you can view; Cedar Mountain Lodge; a 1921 historic 1 bedroom log cabin perfect for a romantic get away. Magic Mountain Lodge is a magnificent 3400 sq. ft. log cabin that accommodates a party of 14. Red Fox is a 1930 authentic 1 bedroom log cabin nested in the most beautiful part of the Mountains and (my favorite) Bears Den Mountain Cabin a 4 bedroom 3 bath Custom Built Log home that will accommodate a party of 12.

Rebecca purchased this cabin in 2013

Excellent cabin in Asheville

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at this cabin. It has all the comforts of home and great location. We felt like we were in an remote mountain cabin but you're only a few minutes from downtown Asheville. The hot tub was nice and it was nice to be able to have wifi and cable when we wanted it.

Cozy little cabin in town.

  • 4 of 5

The property was immaculate and had all of the amenities as described. While the cabin sleeps 6, it is pretty cozy in the living areas and kitchen with that many people. Porches and fenced area excellent for dogs! Cabin is not in a secluded area nor is it in a pedestrian friendly area. However, it is VERY close to many businesses. Glad we had a 4wd to get up the driveway which is steep. We had a great time with many laughs as we had to walk up the driveway after an ice storm on glare ice. Never happier to reach the cozy little cabin with instant fireplace!

Overall, the place was great and I would go there again!!

  • 4 of 5

Overall we really liked the house. We were able to rent it for three nights which fit our schedule perfectly. Rarely can we get a whole week off. What I liked:

1. The house was well furnished. I didn't have to look around for soap or paper towels. Everything we needed was there and in good condition.

2. Making the arrangements with Rebecca was about as simple as you can get. This was greatly appreciated..

3. The hot tub was excellent and well maintained.

What I didn't like:

1. I had to mess with the TV/cable box to get it to work. I ended up having the cable provider reboot the system. This could have been user error (me):).

2. The gas went out and required a little patience to get the system working. I did get excellent phone support with Rebecca's help.

3. The view. Not much to see from the back deck except trees, weeds, and vines.

Overall, the place was great and I would go there again!!

Great stay even though we got snowed in

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our white weekend and had fun playing games and visiting when we were snowed in. Stayed warm and cozy and the hot tub was great. Thawed out enough to make our visit to the Biltmore and check out some local places. We had everything we needed and cabin is close to attractions. We hope to visit again.

Cozy Cabin in a prime location

  • 4 of 5

We wanted to stay in a cabin but still have easy access to Biltmore and downtown Asheville. There were 4 adults and 1 small dog - two couples staying at Blue Wolf and this place fit the bill. It's a cute, cozy cabin just south of downtown Asheville - about 12 minutes to Biltmore and just over 15 to downtown Asheville. It was well stocked in terms of kitchen dishes, appliances, towels and blankets plus had a small fenced in backyard that made it super easy for us to let our pup out. The upstairs room was very spacious. As far a negatives only a few things that left this a 4 instead of a 5 star review - the downstairs bedroom is tiny - super small closet (couldn't fit a suitcase in) and not really any room to put suitcases down and open - we were constantly opening/closing and moving around each other to fit. Not the end of the world but annoying. Additionally this cabin is small in general - the main "living room" area in particular is small so it wasn't that easy for the four of us to hang out in the evenings if we wanted to just chat, watch TV or play a game. There is a couch and a chair in the corner. So that was a little disappointing. The other issue was the pilot light on the fireplace kept going out. Rebecca the manager was super helpful and responsive but still annoying to constantly have to reset/fix it. None of these were deal breakers of course. As a few reviewers noted the driveway is super steep and there is a fairly busy street nearby so there is some noise, again not a huge issue as we wanted to be closer to the action but good to know for those looking for a more secluded get away.
