About Mark Lampi

We are from Minnesota and have owned property in Summit County for 10 years. We love the snow, sunshine and mountains but are getting tired of the long cold Minnesota winters...

Mark Lampi purchased this house in 2014

Why Mark Lampi chose Northwest

The location and views are what sold us on this property. Walk to dinner, only a block or so away. Stunning mountain views out the windows or off the large deck.

What makes this house unique

No need to drive to town if you plan on having few drinks.

Awesome summer week in Dillon, CO for 106 West Triathlon

  • 5 of 5

We have had a great week here in CO! The house was a perfect location for walking to everything in Dillon and the scenery/view is great. Very comfy and plenty of room. Great kitchen and amenities. Heated bathroom floors were a nice bonus as the mornings were nippy!

We were here for the first ever 106 West Triathlon and this was a great home base for early week training and hiking excursions and very close to Breckenridge and Keystone. Not too long a scenic drive away was Leadville, where we spent a nice afternoon. Silverthorn is adjacent to Dillon with outlets and a great rustic steakhouse, The Mint where you pick out your steak from the cooler and grill it yourself!

The house was easy to access, had a garage which was great to store our bikes, and was very clean except for lots of long blond hair on rugs and in the washer! But if/when we are back for this race again, I would definitely want to stay here again! Thanks!

Idyllic mountain retreat with gorgeous views and a great location close to Lake Dillon

  • 5 of 5

I would love to stay here again. Everything was fresh, clean and comfortable. The house is only 2 blocks from Lake Dillon. It is a short walk to play on the beaches and visit the park, marina, and attend programs at the ampitheater. Shopping is very close. Having spent several summers in Dillon in the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, I thought being close to Hwy 6 would mean a lot of noise and traffic views. Wrong! The views from the upstairs deck and downstairs porch were lovely as trees hid the highway and snow-capped mountains soared behind. With the windows closed, I could not hear any traffic. We used the grill and ate most dinners on the deck and were not bothered by traffic. The back yard is large and made a good place to throw frisbees and aerobies. (Best if it has been mowed recently).

My 3 year old grandsons loved the bin of toy trucks and cars, play rug, and stuffed moose. There are several DVDs upstairs and a few games and books. The home is well-stocked with basic supplies (dish soap, window cleaner, laundry soap, trash bags, foil, plastic wrap, paper towels, facial tissue in every room, sandwich baggies, etc.). The kitchen has all basic utensils (could use a larger grater), a good selection of pans and baking dishes and a nice variety of spices and flavored salts. There are plenty of plates, bowls, glasses, cups and silverware so we didn't have to wash dishes after every meal. There is an abundance of towels and extra sheet sets.

The two downstairs bedrooms are especially quiet and mattresses are comfortable (could use a stool for the high queen downstairs). Bedrooms have floor fans if one wants a breeze or "white-noise". The two upstairs bedrooms are at the opposite ends of the home providing privacy. Great home for multiple families with 2 separate large living areas with big screen TVs. Wifi and TV work very well.( Baby gate, booster seat and portable crib are in a downstairs closet)

We enjoyed the Georgetown Loop train, Breckenridge gondola and alpine slide, Copper Mountain lift and bumper boats, renting a boat on Lake Dillion, concerts in Dillon and Frisco, Silverthorne rec center (coupons online and on back of City Market receipts), farmers market, and hiking (Lily Pad Lakes great for young kids). Try Higgles cart for good, homemade ice cream (Silverthorne, open only in summer).

Excellent value for our 3-generation family.

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best rental properties our family has used. All of the pictures of the property were excellent and showed exactly what was available. Everything we needed was available as well as extra towels, sheets, pillows and blankets. It is a well-stocked rental and the kitchen was more than sufficient for our cooking needs as it had plenty of dishware, silverware, pots and pans and also small appliances. Additionally the kitchen was stocked with trash bags, cleaning supplies, zip-lock bags, spices and everything we needed as a family. As a reward the front porch was well-situated as we could enjoy our morning coffee looking at the beautiful mountains and occasionally wildlife. The property was very clean and well-maintained and would recommend this to any family/group of friends who want to stay in the area. As a family we enjoyed the activities for the children at Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone. Of course we were able to walk down to the lake and enjoy the fire-works on 4th of July. We will be back!

Fabulous view

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic 5 day stay in this great house. We had bikers, hikers and fishermen who all found spots to enjoy. Close to Breckenridge but much more quiet and relaxing. Super close to stores, restaurants and Lake Dillon. The house was well stocked and very spacious. Great space for extended families.

Great property with everything you need

  • 5 of 5

Awesome property. Great kitchen, good and well dispersed living areas. Great for kids - they have a high chair, pack and play, kids games/movies, and a baby gate for the stairs. I've stayed at a lot of places in Summit County and this is one I'll be back to.

Excellent spot for an extended family vacation

  • 5 of 5

This house was all that was advertised and is actually more spacious than the VRBO photos make it look. The location is perfect for access to everything. We hope to return next year.
