The complex itself has not 1 but 2 heated swimming pools. When you’re not splashing about in one, you can be lounging on the deck of the other. The complex’s clubhouse is a great place to meet your neighbors, and because Royal Pelican sits on a canal leading out to the bay, it has its own private fishing docks.
If this already sounds pretty fabulous, wait until you see the recently upgraded Condo itself! The large living/dining area has been furnished to perfection. The wood floor warms the living space throughout. The plush sofa begs you to stretch out for a well-deserved nap, or invite you to curl up with a good book--or with your tablet or laptop, as Royal Pelican 243 has free wifi. When you’re not watching a movie on the HDTV, you can gaze out onto the adjacent balcony and the canal just beyond.
Because the balcony is screened-in, feel free to keep the sliding glass doors wide open and let the balmy breeze into the living room and the rest of the 1st floor. The balcony also has sliding glass door on the Lanai to allow you to sit on the lanai and enjoy the outdoor views when temperatures may be outside of your norm. Or you can bring your book and drink out to the balcony, which is furnished with chairs and a table. In addition to the boats sailing in and out of the canal, dolphins and manatees are known to enjoy the waters. You may prefer to watch the parade of activity below to anything on television!
Back indoors, the spacious dining table seats 4 people easily, with chairs that encourage lingering long after the meal is over. And anyone who enjoys cooking will want to do more than linger in our kitchen. Not only is it beautiful, with oak cabinets and gleaming granite countertops, but it’s well equipped too. Refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster: The kitchen has them all, as well as pots, pans, prep utensils, and tableware. All you have to supply is the food--and there’s plenty of storage, so you can stock up rather than have to head to the store every other day.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are just as thoughtfully furnished as the rest of the townhouse.
Decorated in a light, restful palette, the master suite has a Queen-size bed, more than enough closet space, and a wall-mounted TV. Sliding doors open directly onto the 2nd-floor balcony, which like the one below is screened-in and exterior sliding glass doors and overlooks the canal. It’s a wonderful spot to admire the moon reflected on the water before turning in for the night, and to sit with a cup of coffee or tea first thing in the morning, watching the activity on the water.
With a 2 twin size beds, the 2nd bedroom is nearly as roomy as the master. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom, for maximum privacy and convenience. And speaking of convenience, Royal Pelican 243 also has its own full size washer and dryer. After all, who wants to waste time in a Laundromat when there are pools to swim in, beaches to stroll, and parks to explore?
Then again, Royal Pelican 243 is so comfortably furnished and offers such gorgeous views, you may find yourself making excuses to laze in bed or on one of the balconies, relishing the salt-scented air, the sunshine, and the serenity. Go ahead--you are on vacation, after all!
