Minimum stay is 4 nights at the low rate of $500/night until June 1st goes to $600 night. WHEN AVAILABLE, this listing will be for the MAIN ESTATE HOUSE.

We are close to EVERYTHING!! All included, there are NO booking fees, or service fees. Call me direct at 800-459-8429 (works USA+ Canada). Be most welcome.

We are on the rockin' side of Yosemite and you can enter and leave this side of the park quite easily. This is considered the 'main entrance' to most the activities. We are close (less than 20 minutes) from BEAUTIFUL Bass Lake. We are on the South entrance side with Wawona Stables, Narrow Gage RR and Inn, five miles from Oakhurst, 20 min from the Fairgrounds, and all are beautiful drives in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains. It is georgous here! (We are NOT on the landslide side of the park!)

Please refer to the main estate house which is ad #485890. People understand how inexpensive the main house is to enjoy prefer to save a fortune eating, socializing, in our very spread out estate. See the reviews on the ad! ALL 5 STAR! ('Cleanest place we ever stayed", "best vacation we ever had, coming back next year" and etc.etc)

Main house can sleep 10 easily (5 bedrooms, two are suites and most are King size beds), and children/pets are welcome. Depending on the age of the children, we can squeeze a extra, if need be. We have ample parking, private electric gates, tree lined driveway and our private road, too. Pets (dogs and horses) are on approval and no extra charge. There is hiking here on the property and Deadwood Mountain is 1/2 mile away and a stretch of the legs (you or horses) to walk the road to the top; but WHAT A VIEW!

The quaint and beautiful little town of Oakhurst is less than 5 miles south, Bass Lake is 15 minutes, High Sierra about 10minutes from Oakhurst and then snow play area, hiking, horseback riding, Ahwahnee Hotel and Wawona Stables, just before the south gate to Yosemite Nat'l Park.

If you go north on Historic Hwy 49 we are 20 minutes from Mariposa Fairground, (tons of activities, fair, livestock shows, and the miner's museum with millions in gold bullion). JUST FYI....be aware of where you are booking on the vrbo map. The new 'algorithm' puts people over an HOUR further from the park in the same 'search request'. It may look like only 30 miles but it is mountain roads, two lanes and MUCH MUCH FURTHER than Oakhurst/Bass Lake/and Ahwahnee.

You can pan for gold in walking distance of the house.

I've had several people ask so I'll repeat this; the estate is NOT on the landslide side of Yosemite. That is a long way from here. You have to go to Mariposa, thru Mariposa about 40 minutes to the rock slide (one lane road with long traffic light) and then further up into the park to THAT gate.

Less than a hotel for 10 people and you can eat, drink, play in the pool or Jacuzzi in the winter, , sit on the porch and watch the horses lul, hike locally and go to the park any time.

Why Louisa Allyn chose Yosemite Area

It is central to all the Yosemite activities and a skoosh off being half way to the front gate AND half way to the back (except for the landslide up there). We are only 4.5 miles from a unique and friendly mountain town (Oakhurst) with smiling faces and helpful citizens. We love our tourists and the National Park system has many local, free, events. The town is wonderful, the people are warm. Everyone loves it. Plus, for a pretty little mountain town, there are bunch's of REALLY good restaurants.

What makes this estate unique

Plenty of room to wander about. Can barely see one neighbors estate, another is in view but a least a football field away. Jacuzzi heats up in a snap in the winter although the ground temp can drop...you can soak in it and there are mountains IN VIEW, just lovely. It is natural rock and has a waterfall that feeds to the pool. Huge pool, we can only heat in the summer but do not charge to keep it 79-80'ish and IF the ground temp is up, sometimes as early as May. That rascally ground temp is 'all that' up here. Can be 75 degrees in November, and the ground temp is 60... BUT the fabulous jacuzzi comes 'up' in 20 minutes 'ish and it's big enough for the little guys to play in. If we use it as a pool, we can put it to 80 degrees and they can play a long time, dig? We'll figure it out. We always do. Your gonna love it here!

  • House is very large (member, this is for the main estate) and we sleep 8 comfortably but I have added the 5th bedroom if you need sleeping for a few children. The double will fit two and the leather fold out sleeps one more, even an adult. There is a small additional charge for additional guests and insurance has EVERY warm body as a 'guest'. I try to make some accommodation for babies and toddlers but please ask as I MUST follow the insurance parameters; sometimes I can swing it.

People call the 'Gateway to Yosemite' Ahwahnee Riverbend Area Shangri-La. It is cool in the summer, warm in the winter and distant clear views of mountains, and Yosemite. There is so much to do. YOU WILL LOVE IT! People visit Yosemite over and over, again. Our main estate house ad#485890 is also a place to meet, see the area, and can be enjoyed with groups in both residences.
