About Gary and Carol Leeah

Carol and I, three sons and a daughter are from El Paso Texas. We have six grand children. El Paso is a great place to live, with a wonderful year round climate. It does get hot in the summer though! Carol and I are both retired but we keep busy working on the cabin and doing one or two day jobs. Carol is a graduate from UTEP as is our son Jon. I retired my corporate job of 37 years so I could more often enjoy the mild climate of Ruidoso.Joel is a cook at Landry's. CJ also works in the restaurant industry. Our Daughter Nik enjoys training horses up in Maryland.

Gary and Carol Leeah purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Gary and Carol Leeah chose Ruidoso

We chose this property because it was close to everything and it had an atmosphere of being alone in the forest, but the movie theater was a short jaunt away. We liked the single level but it was on the side of a hill with a sixteen foot elevation off of our wrap around deck.

What makes this cabin unique

Our place has a redwood deck that wraps around one half of the cabin. It also has a private deck off of the Master Bedroom with a hot tub.

Fantastic getaway in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four truly enjoyed our stay at your cabin. The location was perfect! We enjoyed sightseeing, visiting downtown, as well as Ski Apache. We enjoyed the hot tub tremendously. The kitchen was well-stocked and perfect for our stay. We did not have great cell phone service (Sprint), which wasn't a problem, but Wi-fi would have been one thing that would have been helpful. We definitely will be visiting Ruidoso again and we hope the cabin is available. Thank you for letting us stay!

Great cabin for our family of four!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying here on our recent visit to southern New Mexico. I am picky, and I thought it was very well-equipped, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything I needed, and we even grilled. The setting was fairly close to town but also quiet. Sitting on the deck and watching the hummingbirds and finches was very peaceful in the morning.

What I didn’t enjoy was the driveway. It was steep and sometimes difficult to navigate. But overall a great place.

We are minutes away from all that are listed. Close enough to activity yet far enough away to be quiet. The Horse museum on Hwy 70 next to the Ruidoso Downs horse race track is a must see. The shopping downtown is a favorite with great shops and restaurants. We are only a few minutes away from Inn of the Mountain Gods gambling casino and restaurant.
