The best of both worlds' location and privacy!!!! Nestled on 3-acre private lot at the end of a quite road, Port Haven boasts its own private pond with catch and release fishing, sand beach and private fire pit with one complementary bundle of wood for burning.

This stunning, custom-designed, luxury vacation home is located on the Sturgeon Bay channel, just steps from Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay. Port Haven South sleeps 18 with 5 bedrooms including 1 king, 5 queen, 2 twin beds and a pull-out futon. The chef's kitchen, spacious living room and 10-person dining table look out to the channel with stunning sunset views. 3500+ sf of living space that has been meticulously designed with families, groups and friend gatherings in mind.

A Private 160 ft dock is available with boat launch pad on site! Guests may bring their vessels to launch, or pontoon rentals are available by contacting your host. The location on the channel gives you quick access to Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay.

With over 50, 5 stars rating our guest services team welcomes you and is available to respond to ANY needs that may arise! We pride ourselves in our service!

When you arrive:
Guests will be greeted by Premier Host Bill or if preferred to have a contactless check-in and will have access to the finished two car garage. Parking for up to 6 cars is available. with extra parking on out lot .

The Space:
Port Haven South has many amenities to please! A large fireplace graces the open concept living area, where there are comfortable arrangements to relax in front of a cozy fire. The large professional chef's kitchen has everything your group will need to prepare meals during your stay, including a coffee station with drip or Keurig, gas stove, cookware, glassware and more! There is a large dining table which has seating for 10 and a 12-foot kitchen island with plenty of seating for gathering and meals. A large patio off the dining room is perfect for relaxing while enjoying a majestic sunset over the Sturgeon Bay channel.

The main level has the master bedroom with a king bed and luxury spa bathroom. The living room provides spacious seating with two couches and two recliners. The kitchen/dining room and laundry room with brand new high-capacity front load washer and dryer are also located on the main floor.

The upper level provides 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed each and 1 bonus room with 3 queen beds. A large bathroom with tub and shower provides a relaxing oasis after a long day.

The lower level features a gathering place paradise, including a large 65" UHD 4K TV, bar, pool table, Foos' ball table and more! Two twin beds and pull-out futon are located on the lower level as well as a luxury bathroom with walk in shower.

Supplies:
At Port Haven, we like to provide our guests with some useful supplies as a starter pack, which you can use during your stay. If you run out, please let the host know. We provide:

dish soap and dishwasher tabs
antibacterial hand soap / bars of soap
laundry pods
toilet paper
garbage bags
paper towel
bath towels (beach towels not provided)
coffee filters
gas grill and a charcoal grill for your use during your stay. Charcoal is not provided.


The Neighborhood:
Port Haven South is centrally located within Door County on the waterfront of the Surgeon Bay Channel. It is just minutes from all the Peninsula has to offer.


Wi-Fi and Televisions:
We offer free high speed Wi-Fi internet access for all guests. The 400 Mbps Wi-Fi supports fast streaming and internet throughout the house, so all guests can remain connected without any internet or streaming disruptions.

Smart Televisions are provided for guest viewing. 55" 4k UHD TVs are located in the main living area. A 65" 4k UHD TV is located in the lower-level living area. Guests are welcome to login to their own streaming services during their stay (e.g., Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Disney+).

Family gathering

The home was spacious with a beautiful location. Home offered alot of activities for our grandchildren-boating, kayaking, fishing and plenty of grass for kite flying! It also provided lots of seating for adults.

Perfect family retreat

My family stayed her over Labor Day weekend. It's in an excellent location with everything you need. I have 3 younger boys and they loved the house amenities along with the outdoor options - pond, swimming, fishing. We also brought our own boat and had plenty of room to park it and the house is in close proximity to a couple boat launches. We will gladly be back!

This was for a girls weekend and it was great. Nice place, amazing master bathroom, open concept, great neighborhood. TVs did not work well and some things could be upgraded for the price of the place.

Great Family Vacation

My husband and I spent a wonderful week here with our children, grandchildren, and extended family. Having both the North and South Units for two families to stay was amazing. It was a perfect family reunion spot. I have already recommended it to others. We were able to enjoy the fishing and swimming in the pond, campfires and playing games throughout the week. The home was family friendly. The host, Bill, was Very welcoming. Thank you!

Such a great place to have our family vacation. The location on the water, private pond with kayaks and canoes, and gaming center in the basement makes this a fantastic place to gather with so many activities to keep everyone happy. The highlight was the pontoon ride with Captain Bill. He took us all over the beautiful bay and canal and ended with a literal bang watching the Sturgeon Bag 4th of July fireworks from the pontoon. Best fireworks experience we’ve ever had! Bill was such a great host, and my family loved getting to chat with him. We even learned he dug/built the pond himself!

Great week!

We had such a great week here! Check in was so easy. Communication with Bill was great. We loved meeting his very friendly dogs! The house was incredibly clean and had plenty of towels, dishes, etc for a big group of people. We loved the kitchen appliances and laundry facilities. Bedrooms were excellent. Bathrooms were, too. The pond was cute and perfect for fishing. Kids and adults were able to catch and release dozens of fish! So convenient to have that just a few steps away. We spent a lot of time sitting around the pond, using the small boats available, playing in the sand, and fishing. The grill was great. Plenty of seating and umbrellas out there. We appreciated the stash of life vests available. Highly recommend this house! It’s a great place to stay while visiting Door County. We made day trips to almost all of the towns between Sturgeon Bay and Sister Bay - easy drives to make! Thanks for a wonderful week!

Everything about this house is A-1

It's hard to find a place good for our adult children, spouses and kids. This was it. Beach in front, channel out back, big yard for yard games, great firepit nights. The pond had a great beach for kids, and we made good use of all the watercraft. Even got some fishing in.Bill captained us around in his boat, it would also be great to dock a boat. The channel is beautiful. Bill was easily available to help with anything. The house had a great layout and beautiful details. Parents of little ones got the bedrooms and adult children bunked together, like the old days. Everyone said they would definitely do this again.

Something for everyone!

We had a blast at this Sturgeon Bay property. The kids (and adults) had fun in the private pond - paddle boarding, kayaking, and paddle boating. We even tried our hand fishing a few times! It was so convenient to have fun water activities just a few a feet away from the property. The only suggestion would be to refresh the towels that are made available as they were somewhat worn with occasional holes . Other than that, it’s a great property for a family of all ages! Bill was attentive and there to greet us upon arrival and wish us farewell on checkout. Very satisfied!

Family Vacation

The location on the channel was new to us. We enjoyed the views, especially the wildlife. The pond with a beach was great for the younger kids. The condo could use upgrading. The upstairs shower/tub had a large crack in it. The tile in the bathroom was loose and unstable. Many of the tv's did not work. The kitchen faucet needs to be replaced. The basement had a funky smell and was not inviting. Overall the house was large enough for our large family but it needs some tlc.

Great place for large family

There were 15 people total including a 2-1/2 year old and a 5 month old baby. Bill our host was very responsive to our needs and even had a pack n play for the 2-1/2 yo. He was usually around the area available if we needed anything. The house was wonderful. A lot of time spent fishing in the pond and having bonfires at night. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. There are even 3 crockpots which came in handy because we made food in advance so we didn’t need to go out much. Used crockpots for sloppy joes and pulled pork-just to warm up and keep warm. Bedrooms are comfortable and the downstairs was great for kids - 2 bunk beds worked out great for 4 kids. There is a double futon in the game room area which our daughter slept in one night and said it was very comfortable. One bedroom has 3 queen size beds. That room worked well for our son and his young family ages 5 and under. All in all this is a great place to make many happy memories. I highly recommend it. And our host Bill was wonderful.

Grandma Jo’s 75th birthday

My family loves to be together for any occasion. We have such a large group (13) 6 adults and 7 grandchildren.. we have a hard time getting a house to fit us, this house was perfect.. the host Bill was the best we’ve ever had. We rented his pontoon boat and he offered to drive us … he was wonderful, took us to a couple of beaches and a restaurant all the while he waited for us.. told us so much about the area. You’d never get that driving yourself. The house was so clean, there’s a pond out front and the kids had fun playing in there, there’s a fire pit and we used it to enjoy the night. Also kept the bugs away… The house includes more than the usual.. we didn’t need to bring extra paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwashing machine soap, Or laundry soap. The view from the other side of the house has spectacular sunsets, bald eagles, pelicans, and boats of all kinds.. large lawn we played bags, and other games! We, our whole family would recommend this house to everyone.. we’ll probably be back.. thanks Bill for a great experience!

Accommodating

The house was accommodating for our entire family which was great. Our overall impression though was tainted because the first day we arrived, the air conditioning was broken. Bill gave us fans but that didn't cut it. After 2 days, he had someone come out and they told us the AC unit wasn't big enough to cool the entire house. The next day a bedroom AC was installed but it still didn't cool off all the rooms. We ended up having to rearrange people (especially the kids) and it was just annoying to not be able to have consistent AC during a hot week. It was just something you wouldn't think for the price we paid to stay there, that we would have to deal with. My mom's house isn't as big as that house was she has a stronger/bigger AC unit. Besides the AC not working, there were minor cosmetic things with the house that my mom talked to Bill about. Again, nothing major though except for the AC. The kids enjoyed the swimming and fishing pond which was great to have during the hot week. You also couldn't beat the view of the water. We rented a boat and it was so nice to just pull up right to the house to pick everyone up. The kids thought that was so awesome! The fish/swim pond was stocked with fish and the look on their faces when they caught one, totally priceless. So overall we had a good time except for the AC issue. We did wish the house was closer to town/shops but again, there were other things to love about the location like the water and swimming/fish pond.

Annual Fall Girls Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Door County and had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. There was plenty of room for 14 adults (1 king bed, 5 queen beds and 2 twin beds) and 4 bathrooms. The kitchen and living area were more than spacious for all of us to sit around and talk, play games and The weather cooperated with us and we were able to spend time outdoors on the patio and also by the fire pit.

Family get away

The property was very nice. There is a pond associated with the property. It is well maintained and clean with a small sandy beach. We were there with our grandchildren and the beach and pond was well used by them.
