The main living area is spacious at 34 ft diameter with wooden floors & two 5 1/2 ft round windows over looking amazing mountain views. Over 1000 square feet with massively high ceilings! Large kitchen with oven, open plan space; king bed/queen loft. The loft has a wonderful 'artsy' 2 1/2 foot wall made out of fence posts. You get sight privacy but not sound privacy due to the 'wall' being a fence! Check out the pictures. Off of the living room is a small reading nook, foyer & bath room with tub & shower. There is internet and a large selection of dvds and a few games for entertainment. Originally a huge 90 foot home with two monolithic domes turned into a duplex. Built for privacy with separate parking areas and 8 ft fence with one entrance in the front and the other in the rear, so you may not ever bump into your neighbor. It's the only house on the street - country living with the nearest neighbors about 1/4 mile away. Great for retreats, writers, meditation & country fun! If you have a small event, there is ample room in the living room and you can rent the other side of the duplex. As well three miles away in town I have a three room inn. Great if you're having a large event! Location-location!! 3 miles to town. No smoking. Pets are allowed with discussing my policy & agreeing. Kids and adults alike - love this place for it's beauty and uniqueness.

Lovely, relaxing, spacious home
My family and I were taking a side trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Park after a weekend at Copper Mountain for the Courage Classic (Annual Bicycling Fundraiser for Children's Hospital Colorado). It was difficult to find reasonably priced lodging, near the sand dunes, that would accommodate our family of 4 and our goldendoodle for one night. Fortunately I stumbled upon this gem and loved everything about it - It was more spacious than the pictures indicate, very neat and clean, comfortable beds, great shower, well-equipped kitchen (though we weren't there long enough to cook) - did appreciate having the refrigerator for all our travel food & drinks. I love the isolation of the home - so peaceful & quiet, with incredible 360 and night/sky views. Angie provided a nice, descriptive list of places to eat and things to do. We enjoyed dinner at the Crestone Brewing that had terrific options for our daughter (vegan) and son (gluten-free). It's just an hour drive to the dunes & Zapata Falls (which is a MUST-DO!), which we did after a quick breakfast at the Cloud Station Cafe. I have to say the only thing missing at this property is natural hot springs! ; ) (though I know there are some not too far away, which we did not take advantage of). We would have loved to stay another night, but hope to return soon! Thank you! the Long Family
Quirky and cool
We loved our trip to Crestone and loved our stay in the dome. Both are quirky and full of character. The dome isn't fancy, but it was comfortable and so memorable. We loved its shape and acoustics, and the view out the main window was worth staying here alone. Angie was a fantastic host - I so appreciated her information regarding our stay at the dome, as well as her guide regarding the town and vicinity. While we spent most of our time at the Sand Dunes, we enjoyed eating at the brewery in Crestone and meeting Chardonnay, the local deer who waits in the liquor store door to be fed carrots. A highlight of our stay was being able to photograph the Milky Way over the dome - one of the coolest perks to the trip! I'd gladly stay here again.
Very unique and charming
I have to admit, I was a little worried because of the minimal reviews and one bad review stated, “if clean is a priority for you, this isn’t for you”. I’m so happy I went ahead and booked it. This home is very clean and charming. How often do you get a chance to stay in a dome home? It’s a very cool unique experience. The picture do not do it justice. Also, the owner is very nice, helpful and quick to respond.
Comfortable and well equipped
Everything was clean and nice. It has everything to enjoy a comfortable stay. The introductory email had great information.
Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer!
We had a great time and was easy to relax. The property owner/manager was very accommodating on last minute communication! We arrived at night and the home was clean, ready, and beautiful. Great decor and lighting. We awoke to amazing views and a great yard for our dogs to safely play in. The other side was rented out and we never saw or heard from them. We will be back for sure! Thank you!
